When I asked out my crush I had already admitted I like her and she'd admitted the same. I asked her out by writing a letter and she opened it. Instead of asking her by a "note" it told her to look at me and then I asked her. This was 7 years ago when I was in high school and we're happily married with 1 kid and a second on the way.
She recently made my heart melt when she asked me to be her partner in a dance for school. The feeling is amazing and almost indescribable. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest and pumping so much blood out to my arms legs and upper torso. I got tunnel vision and filtered everything out except her. big facts!! being truly patient with who you're interested in will show that you want to genuinely get to know them (over the span of months or hopefully years), which is especially difficult if you're like me and have an anxious attachment style. luckily I have an amazing friend who's patient with me and repeatedly reminded me to slow down and take my time. jumping in with both feet too soon is something I struggle with and i'll just say it has only ever screwed whatever potential chance I had. anyway, what helped me personally slow down was shifting my focus to entirely on them, to entirely on myself and what I want to accomplish. Also helps show them you arent making them your everything, as they shouldnt be.

Take small steps! I'm an introvert too. I'm almost done with my first year at university and it's been all online (since junior year, 2020). At first I didn't mind doing online as I kind of find it easier tbh but now I've been missing small things about in person school. I recently went to an honor society induction and knew no one there. I accidentally made eye contact with a girl a year older than me and we started talking about our majors and a variety of other topics. My goal for that evening was to talk to one stranger and I did. It was small but it made me feel a lot better equipped for in person school next spring when I transfer :) baby steps! Confidence isn't something people are born with or they're not, it's like working out a muscle. You're not gonna see results right away many times, but once you repeat actions that target that muscle (ie confidence) you'll find that you will start seeing results. You have to give it time. Don't put pressure on yourself, just try your best to relax and set small goals for yourself to start. There's nothing wrong with celebrating small wins.

I really want my crush to talk me first because I am introverted and shy, but when she actually talks to me I just keep answering dry and cutting because I feel so worried of not giving her a good impression and just end up over thinking... I’m a first year university student who studies aerospace (airplanes etc.), and the course is dominated by males, with less than 20 females out of a pool of 200 people. I feel great being part of a uni which actually makes me feel like what I’m being taught is useful. This good mood cemented itself and by December, 3 months into the course, I started crushing over a girl who’s in a group we were assigned to be in, and man, she was perfect for me. Timid, soft-spoken and generally innocent; it’s incredibly easy to make her laugh with the most daddest of dad-jokes and her laugh is simply adorable. When we came back after New Years holidays, I would always religiously try my best to sit next to her, and engage in casual conversation during lesson to make both our days that bit better. She had seemed comfortable with me sitting next to her, because at that point, the sleeplessness caused by long days at uni made me more approachable as my brain would focus on one thing at a time, and a lot of the time, that would entail helping others with work whenever they didn’t understand. I would do this especially if she asked, putting my work aside in favour of lending a hand, which would inadvertently drain my already-low energy stores, to the point where I fell asleep on multiple occasions during lessons, and it just so happened that one day in January I slept sitting next to her, arms crossed in front of my face, laying my arms on the table. And that’s when, out of nowhere, she decided to run her fingers through my hair and headpat me. 😳 I woke up a few minutes later as the last lesson of the day came to its end, but did not forget her action that day. With regard to this video, I was already at step 2, and naturally felt inclined to pursue step 3, building confidence. As a quiet lad who desired social interaction, I was already well on my way to getting through step 3. It made me feel bold, as if it were criminal to not try my luck with her. So I asked my best friend who I’ve known for 7-8 years for advice on what to do next. What he told me shocked me. He was already well aware that I had a sweet spot for her, so when I told him that I went through all these feelings, he was not surprised whatsoever. He then informed me that she was already taken, which dashed any of my hopes of a relationship with her out of the window… I no longer have a crush on her anymore as it would be wrong to given she already has a bf. Do not get me wrong, I still very much enjoy and crave her company, treating her as a good friend, but it is a shame that just as I was getting out of my shell, I was promptly pushed back in, since she’s the only person outside of family who I’d ever felt an emotional connection to. Long story short: Be cautious of the signals that someone you desire to be intimate with may give. People are not perfect so can be misinformed by their own judgement. This judgement may cloud someone’s ability to tell if someone actually likes them or are giving off the wrong message (as was my case). Do not act haphazardly, as this will more often than not result in all progress being lost in an instant, perhaps causing people to shy away from pursuing a relationship altogether. Do not stop searching for “the one”. There are 7.8 billion people on this earth and it is statically impossible that one of them won’t strike a cord with you. There's this boy in my class,we dont really talk much although these past few days,we've come into more contact with each other. My crush and I work together. He’s really cute, studies a good major, and comes from a good family. Even my dad has been rooting for it! The big problem is that he basically doesn’t talk. I just had a breakup after a 3 year long relationship. I can't say I miss my ex but I do miss having a relationship. I already found an extremely interesting and fitting girl for me I believe, so I do want to ask her out over time. But I also feel that for the first time I need a few months to heal from my breakup. Even if I was the one braking up, that doesn't mean that I don't miss the giving and receiving love part. If I want to commit to this interesting girl I think I have to wait until my mind is in a state where it doesn't think this much about the relationship that it's missing. This is a great video! This may sound strange, but your love-orientated videos really help when i'm writing fanfics. The pair I mainly use is a pair of very soft boys who're both rather awkward around each other- so these videos really help me characterise the way they do show their love. Some of these are very subtle, and seems to fit them very well.

I'm autistic, socially awkward and are pretty shy. Here are some tips to build up confidence with your crush: Begin off slow: I don't know whether you are still in school/college or not, but if you are, try to see him/her once a week or so during recess. If you two already know each other, the best situation is when you accidentally see each other when lunch break starts and ask if you can sit with him/her. After a few times, try asking for a phone number. After that, try to keep up some good contact with him/her. You don't have to text every day, once a week or month is fine. When you think the time is right, pick an exact date and time for when you are going to ask him/her out. The easiest way to do this is by text. Try to pick something low-key, like having lunch at the McDonalds (my first date with my crush). In one-on-one time, try to explain your feelings and personal situation. Also, show interest and make sure you know a bunch of stuff about the other person, preferably stuff that also alignes with your own interests. When you make it to this stage, you already have a very strong friendship. This is also the stage I am at right now. Try to make contact every so often, and maybe after a few years your crush develops a crush on you. If your crush is not shy or socially awkward, there is a very good chance they will confess to you first. I hope this helped you, at least it made me help vent my feelings.

It's been a habit of mine to maintain eye contact for long, not uncomfortably long, but long periods of time. I'm good at staring contests because of that, but I also tend to fall for people really easily and when I do become more conscious of it than usual. I guess now I know why...
if you have their number, and they go to your school, uni, or work place, talk about that. for example, you could say “you did good on that presentation today”, or “can you help me with this math assignment? i dont get it” or maybe even “your outfit was nice today.” this can help them build familiarity around you if you’re not extremely close, and help them see possibly a different side of you. also, mimic their text style or talking style. if they use emoticons like “:)” or “>:(“, use em. mimicking them can male them like you more. dont be afraid to point out small things too. ask questions about what happened that day, like “what grade did you get on that test today?” or “have you done the homework yet?”. these will help you have longer conversations when you start adding questions to your conversations.

big facts!! being truly patient with who you're interested in will show that you want to genuinely get to know them (over the span of months or hopefully years), which is especially difficult if you're like me and have an anxious attachment style. luckily I have an amazing friend who's patient with me and repeatedly reminded me to slow down and take my time. jumping in with both feet too soon is something I struggle with and i'll just say it has only ever screwed whatever potential chance I had. anyway, what helped me personally slow down was shifting my focus to entirely on them, to entirely on myself and what I want to accomplish. Also helps show them you arent making them your everything, as they shouldnt be.

Take small steps! I'm an introvert too. I'm almost done with my first year at university and it's been all online (since junior year, 2020). At first I didn't mind doing online as I kind of find it easier tbh but now I've been missing small things about in person school. I recently went to an honor society induction and knew no one there. I accidentally made eye contact with a girl a year older than me and we started talking about our majors and a variety of other topics. My goal for that evening was to talk to one stranger and I did. It was small but it made me feel a lot better equipped for in person school next spring when I transfer :) baby steps! Confidence isn't something people are born with or they're not, it's like working out a muscle. You're not gonna see results right away many times, but once you repeat actions that target that muscle (ie confidence) you'll find that you will start seeing results. You have to give it time. Don't put pressure on yourself, just try your best to relax and set small goals for yourself to start. There's nothing wrong with celebrating small wins.

I don't know what impression I give to classmates in college, but I find it really hard to talk to girls even when they might be attracted to me. I don't talk to barely anyone, I do exercise, I do take care of my looks, Im always respectful, I have good grades, Im not tall but not short either, I have a deep voice, and always try to look self confident; but in truth I am really insecure about myself and always think that I am not good enough for anyone.

I’m a first year university student who studies aerospace (airplanes etc.), and the course is dominated by males, with less than 20 females out of a pool of 200 people. I feel great being part of a uni which actually makes me feel like what I’m being taught is useful.
This good mood cemented itself and by December, 3 months into the course, I started crushing over a girl who’s in a group we were assigned to be in, and man, she was perfect for me. Timid, soft-spoken and generally innocent; it’s incredibly easy to make her laugh with the most daddest of dad-jokes and her laugh is simply adorable. When we came back after New Years holidays, I would always religiously try my best to sit next to her, and engage in casual conversation during lesson to make both our days that bit better.
She had seemed comfortable with me sitting next to her, because at that point, the sleeplessness caused by long days at uni made me more approachable as my brain would focus on one thing at a time, and a lot of the time, that would entail helping others with work whenever they didn’t understand.
I would do this especially if she asked, putting my work aside in favour of lending a hand, which would inadvertently drain my already-low energy stores, to the point where I fell asleep on multiple occasions during lessons, and it just so happened that one day in January I slept sitting next to her, arms crossed in front of my face, laying my arms on the table. And that’s when, out of nowhere, she decided to run her fingers through my hair and headpat me. 😳
I woke up a few minutes later as the last lesson of the day came to its end, but did not forget her action that day.
With regard to this video, I was already at step 2, and naturally felt inclined to pursue step 3, building confidence. As a quiet lad who desired social interaction, I was already well on my way to getting through step 3. It made me feel bold, as if it were criminal to not try my luck with her. So I asked my best friend who I’ve known for 7-8 years for advice on what to do next.
What he told me shocked me.
He was already well aware that I had a sweet spot for her, so when I told him that I went through all these feelings, he was not surprised whatsoever. He then informed me that she was already taken, which dashed any of my hopes of a relationship with her out of the window… I no longer have a crush on her anymore as it would be wrong to given she already has a bf.
Do not get me wrong, I still very much enjoy and crave her company, treating her as a good friend, but it is a shame that just as I was getting out of my shell, I was promptly pushed back in, since she’s the only person outside of family who I’d ever felt an emotional connection to.
Long story short:
Be cautious of the signals that someone you desire to be intimate with may give. People are not perfect so can be misinformed by their own judgement. This judgement may cloud someone’s ability to tell if someone actually likes them or are giving off the wrong message (as was my case). Do not act haphazardly, as this will more often than not result in all progress being lost in an instant, perhaps causing people to shy away from pursuing a relationship altogether.
Do not stop searching for “the one”. There are 7.8 billion people on this earth and it is statically impossible that one of them won’t strike a cord with you. It is just a matter of soul-searching, which won’t be easy, but will be rewarded with trust in a person that could last a lifetime. Do not give up. Take care and peace people. ✌️❤️

There's this boy in my class,we dont really talk much although these past few days,we've come into more contact with each other. Okay so In class we randomly make eye contact and smile at eachother.
When I used to sit next to him he showed me funny anime videos and the music he likes.
He would also randomly bump my hand or put his hand on my shoulder. And oh at the beginning of the year we drew a bunch of little cat faces on the whiteboard and at like the last 1 or 2 days of school this year he drew a cat face on the white board saw that I saw it and then smiled.

I just had a breakup after a 3 year long relationship. I can't say I miss my ex but I do miss having a relationship. I already found an extremely interesting and fitting girl for me I believe, so I do want to ask her out over time. But I also feel that for the first time I need a few months to heal from my breakup. Even if I was the one braking up, that doesn't mean that I don't miss the giving and receiving love part. If I want to commit to this interesting girl I think I have to wait until my mind is in a state where it doesn't think this much about the relationship that it's missing. I'm sure I would regret making a move too fast on this girl, and surely she would feel that I'm not fully ready, no matter how much I'm interested in her (a lot).

This is a great video! This may sound strange, but your love-orientated videos really help when i'm writing fanfics. The pair I mainly use is a pair of very soft boys who're both rather awkward around each other- so these videos really help me characterise the way they do show their love. Some of these are very subtle, and seems to fit them very well.

I'm autistic, socially awkward and are pretty shy. Here are some tips to build up confidence with your crush:
Begin off slow: I don't know whether you are still in school/college or not, but if you are, try to see him/her once a week or so during recess. If you two already know each other, the best situation is when you accidentally see each other when lunch break starts and ask if you can sit with him/her. After a few times, try asking for a phone number. After that, try to keep up some good contact with him/her. You don't have to text every day, once a week or month is fine. When you think the time is right, pick an exact date and time for when you are going to ask him/her out. The easiest way to do this is by text. Try to pick something low-key, like having lunch at the McDonalds (my first date with my crush).
In one-on-one time, try to explain your feelings and personal situation. Also, show interest and make sure you know a bunch of stuff about the other person, preferably stuff that also alignes with your own interests. When you make it to this stage, you already have a very strong friendship. This is also the stage I am at right now. Try to make contact every so often, and maybe after a few years your crush develops a crush on you. If your crush is not shy or socially awkward, there is a very good chance they will confess to you first. I hope this helped you, at least it made me help vent my feelings.

if you have their number, and they go to your school, uni, or work place, talk about that. for example, you could say “you did good on that presentation today”, or “can you help me with this math assignment? i dont get it” or maybe even “your outfit was nice today.” this can help them build familiarity around you if you’re not extremely close, and help them see possibly a different side of you. also, mimic their text style or talking style. if they use emoticons like “:)” or “>:(“, use em. mimicking them can male them like you more. dont be afraid to point out small things too. ask questions about what happened that day, like “what grade did you get on that test today?” or “have you done the homework yet?”. these will help you have longer conversations when you start adding questions to your conversations.

I find that I am comfortable talking with my crush. I went to elementary school from 3-5 with him. Then he had a crush on me. After being homeschooled from 5-9, I’m seeing him for soccer as a 10th grader. Since I was homeschooled I find talking with people awkward. But with him I can just talk without worrying or stumbling.
