Dale Carnegie explains that if you want people to be interested in you, you don't have to be interesting. You just have to be genuinely interested in the person you're talking to. Sometimes it's good to stop pushing inward and instead look outside of yourself. Top that on this video and you'll be unstoppable :)
Yeah for sure I agree with that advice but since people aren't that inquisitive (don't really ask questions about the other person) it just gets boring and one sided
1. Create Positive Associations 0:08 2. Make Yourself a Mystery 0:39 3. Use the Zeigarnik Effect (think cliffhanger) 1:20 4. Become Obsessed With Yourself (NOT in a narcissistic sense) 2:08 5. Invest in Yourself 2:45 6. Find Something to Share 3:23
Step 3: Use Zeigarnik Effect (think cliffhanger)....🎵Cliffhanger hanging on a cliff, and that's why he's called cliffhanger🎵 "Can't hold on much LOOOOONGERRRRR"
yeah I guess, idk I mean like honestly I can agree with what you're saying, I also think by the time someone succeeds in finding what they want using either these steps or something else, their reasoning my come out a little different for how to achieve this, actually I really appreciate you're comment being here really good food for thought :).
Another tip, remember them and what they talked about. They're more likely to remember you if they know you actually listen to them, remember what they talk about, and engage with them as much as you can. Just make them feel like you care, that way they want to come back to you to hang out and stuff, not just think about you.
Ooooh, and here i thought i just a memorable face because pretty much everyone i lived (still a bedspacer and people come and go here frequently) remembers me. This is exactly what i do with everyone i talk to.
In my opinion, just make it go smoothly and have a good bond with them. When you have a great relationship with people or your loved one, it makes people remember us more
thank you for helping me with my depression you helped me find out I uave depression and I was able to get back a healthy lufe because of you giys so thank you
I thought about someone for a year straight one time - of course, they were harassing me and sending texts at all hours of the night even after I filed for a restraining order - had to change my number... I don't recommend stalking/ harassing people, but it certainly makes people keep you at the front of their mind...
Im just glad they have that disclaimer in the description . I saw the terms phychological conditioning and the title of the video and felt my anxiety do a spike lol
It's amazing how I subconsciously knew almost all of these tips and have been doing it for years, but every attempt to make just a lasting positive connection is crushed by my BPD and depression. It becomes harder and harder to persuade myself, that people are even capable of caring about someone else's feelings. Everyone is ok to hang out with you as long as you are happy and entertaining to them. Once you are feeling down and ask for support (just some kind words, not even actual help) - they are gone once and for all
I like how simple this seems, though of course it depends on the person, its still really fun piecing together steps or traits from this video and associating them with the things I do In real life, thank you for this video!
Something that someone did literally today and that I can’t stop thinking of is that I was running and a girl on a bike passed by and said good luck It sounds dumb but I am not used to people just being nice like that for no reason Honestly I think that I should do this more too, like just a few words can really make someone’s day better I wish I got to talk with her because I go to the park pretty often and I try to see if there are some people I could go meet but I never find anyone It’s funny that I’m thinking about someone that I don’t even know the name of

I would like to add in, from personal experience: Have a large positive impact on the person's life. When someone goes through hell, be there for them rather than turn the other cheek. Even people who dislike you for any reason, will have their memory of you live rent free in their minds.
I just came here to find out what i'm doing to attract women, make them cling on me like the best guy in the world, when I just look like the average guy. I think i might be doing stuff like this without trying. When i was younger i couldn't even pay a girl to hang out with me. Now that I'm 46, the few women I meet want me to be there bf or hook up with me. 😅
This video came at the perfect time for me. To put it lightly, recent events have made me feel completely ignored and disposable. For example, I recently went to the hospital for tests and they forgot about me for 7 hours (while regularly checking up on the people I was sitting near, etc) and even my friends have been kind of casually forgetting me or casting me aside. My intrusive thoughts have really been kicking my butt on this one. "You were left out on purpose." "You're not needed or wanted anymore." "Due to past history, this definitely wasn't an accident and their past apologies were probably a lie." On a conscious level I know this is all wrong, but... well, when it's piling up with one thing after another, it's really worn me down and I was toxic toward a friend over it yesterday when they didn't deserve that. It was an honest mistake... just the second honest mistake within about a month that left me feeling hurt and the two really compounded together in my head. I... don't think most of this will help. It might just make me seem obnoxious and more dismissable. But I'll try.
The safer option is to sometimes chose not to bottle those things in, I know you might think that you dont want to be annoying but it can prevent conflict from happening when you finally hit your limit. Even if its not a comfort zone its better to try and bring up politely that some behaviors people do bother you or you want to bring up that you need help with something. Sure not everyone will honor those feelings and it might sting but youll at least know who makes an effort to try and meet your standards and by extension feeling less unseen.
