- do our kids want to convert to Orthodox Judaism? In this video we talk about how we shared that we want to convert to Orthodox Judaism with our kids. How did our kids feel about converting? What were their thoughts about converting to Orthodox Judaism? We have 5 kids who's ages range from 8 months to 14 years old. Converting with 5 kids is no easy road. But we can honestly say that it has been the decision our family has ever made. Let us know in the comments how you handled this moment with your kids?

As an Orthodox Jewish woman from birth, I want to tell you how inspiring you both are. Your children sound incredible as well.
You guys are amazing!
It's so very difficult to change one character trait, yet you are completing the journey to change your lives entirely and are converting in the proper manner.
All of the honor to you and your family.
It's always very exciting to gain more siblings!
I'm so very sorry that you received some obnoxious comments regarding your videos.
I love your whole family.
What a special clan you are.
I'm so very grateful that you started this process before Moshiach comes.
Once he comes, there will be no more converts allowed for all eternity.
Your love for Hashem shines like a beacon of light.
Stay strong against the haters.
I love you both and your family.
💞💞💞
This is wonderful. I was in search of ….I found it and I converted to Judaism in 2019. This decision changed my life for the better.
Omgosh you’re amazing! MAZAL TOV Cheryl. Thx for sharing with us!

Yesssss BzH soon! Thank you! Can’t wait to visit
Thx for watching
My Grandma was the one to teach me the Shema as a child, when she tucked me in at night. That is one of my oldest and most comforting memories. B”H
What a beautiful memory.
You both are so inspiring. A true kiddush Hashem!
BH! thank you so much and thanks for watching!! Gd bless you!
"grace and patience"... really seems to define you, and your journey. you seem to have true inner peace a harmony of thought, emotion and speech (deeds), no wonder your are such great examples for your children! Much nachos from them all Beezrat Hashem
Thank you so much! Very kind words. Gd bless you
When my husband and I converted we did not have any kids. Our daughter is fully in to being Jewish. She is proud in her Yiddishkite. I love witching her grow and learn her Hebrew I love listening to her Daven. Being in an orthodox Jewish school has really made a big difference in her skill level.
BH!!! That is beautiful to hear…thank you for your support!!!😊❤️
May G-d bless you both and your children. I am most impressed with your intelligence, dignity and connection to Hashem. What you had to say about your children sounds like the way forward in the best way possible. You perfectly understand, as do your children, that it's not the answers we give but the questions we ask in life. You are a credit to the Jewish community.
Aw BH!!! Thank you so much!!! That means a lot!
Kol hakavod, you guys! You’re such a model of great parenting, it’s beautiful! ❤
Thank you. It’s a work in progress for sure 😅 thx for watching!
Love this video so much!
My husband and I are on a similar journey. We've been out of Christianity for about 5 years and are starting the conversion process to orthodox Judaism as well! Super happy to have found your channel! This is an excellent video and so helpful to us!

BH!!!!!! Thank you and bless you!🙏🏾
Daughter of a convert here and I love the content! So beautiful to hear that the process is going great with your kids! I would love a video on what resources you found most helpful and how orthodox jews can and do help you on your journey ❤
I find you every inspiring. I am the child of a convert, but was born into being an Chasidic jew. It's amazing that you are such good role models for your kids, for them to want to join you on this journey. I always grew up feeling very proud of my father for being a convert. It's not always easy being the child of converts, when living in a very insular community, since we are sometimes the subject to bullying or judgment or being othered. Thankfully, I've never experienced this, but my brothers have, unfortunately. I have always been very proud of being Jewish and would never want it any other way. I always feel grateful to my father for choosing this path. I always had a positive view of Hashem, because of my parents view of Hashem. Keep passing on the positive messages and they will blossom. May Hashem always send you and your children the right people and community who will always make you feel loved and cherished and may you have an easy transition . I think you are two beautiful people, both inside and out and you embody special neshamos.
Wow what a message!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you for sharing this. Hope to continue meeting great people like you!!!! Thank you and may Gd send you and your family Hatzlacha raba and many brachas
I think your channel is probably one of the most intelligent and meaningful one on the internet. And you look so young to be married for 15 years! Thank you for sharing your sincerity. You have an amazing clarity. Thank you ❤
Thank you! Baruch Hashem!

We too are on the same journey! It was like Hashem was calling us home. The journey has been absolutely refreshing and invigorating. The seeking of knowledge and having your questions answered sometimes before you get to ask them. We will convert later this month. Baruch Hashem and Shavuah Tov mispacah.
Wow that is amazing family! May Hashem continue to bring lots of Brachas and simcha on your journey!
Mazel Tov on your upcoming conversion (if it hasn't happened already) and as a fellow convert I love hearing stories like yours. The journey isn't necessarily always easy, but it is worth the effort.
כל הכבוד
Kol haKavod!
Much Respect!
You are such an inspiration for your fellow Jews, our people is enriched by your joining the tribe.
Thx so much! It’s our honor
מדוייק!!!❤
Beautiful story! Giving them choice is important. I knew a family in congregation who had six children and they had lived a form of Judaism for over a decade. But in the end their lives totally changed and they went back to Sunday christian church and today their adult children don't follow anything other than secular life. I don't think their kids had ever been guided into in learning Hebrew or Torah but that the kids just tagged along and got lost in the shuffle. Very sad. So to hear your story is encouraging. Bring up a child in the way it should go......right. Shalom
Bless your entire family..you both exude so much wisdom and it's a delight to listen to what you have to say..I'm an American/Israeli safta living in Israel for the past 27 yrs. and would love for you to be guests at my shabbat table when you make the ultimate journey of Aliyah..Shalom from Safta Shlomit.
We’d love that! Thank you.
BzH we make Aliyah in the near future
Thank you for sharing your journey. Your experience is very inspiring, especially for those of us who may feel stagnant in our spiritual life. Watching your excitement and love of mitzvot is a tremendous motivation for myself. May Hashem continue to bless you and your family with everything good, pleasant and plentiful.
Wow thank you brother! Your words really touched me. May you have lots of koach to continue to keep going. Everyone has stagnation. That’s the beauty of having access to all of the stories of Tanakh… all of the greats had struggles. They were examples for all of us. I don’t think there were any “perfect” journeys. May we all draw strength from these stories and find encouragement to keep going! Much love achi!🙏🏾🙏🏾
Just found your channel - what a beautiful couple and beautiful story of your spiritual journey. Really inspiring!! You have beautiful neshamas
Hi Laura. Thank you so much. We’re happy you found it. Happy to connect with you. ☺️☺️☺️❤️
Shavua Tov! I am new to your channel and have really enjoyed the videos I have seen. I love your energy and find you to be a beautiful couple, inside and out. I look forward to your future posts. All the best wishes.
Hey Ruby!! So happy to see your message. Thank you so much. Happy to be connected!
Wow, I am so impressed with you both. Not just because of the dedication with which you live the life you have felt led to, but also just as people and parents in general. Your respect and understanding for others is astounding. From my understanding converting to Judaism, especially Orthodox Judaism, is an extremely long and intense process. I really admire the intention and thought with which you have approached it. Can't wait to binge watch all of the other videos you have posted! :)
Awww thank you for the love and support! We appreciate you tuning in!!!❤️🙏🏽
Hello guys, congrats, you are very inspiring. I can fill all your love in your videos. If it happens that I come in the u.s I hope to meet you. May Hachem bless you.
Y’all are amazing. Love the positive energy on your channel. Sounds like you live in a very special community.
Thank you. And yes we do. 🙌🙌
Wow, may Ha Shem send you siatta di shmaya on your path!
I am a convert for 24 years now ( in Israel) and even it is a huge responsibility to yourself and obviously to Ha Shem to be true and honest as a convert, Judaism kept me on the safe and narrow path, because i am not sure where i would have ended up without it.
Really hope you guys are going to make aliyah!!!
Wow! Mazal Tov!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👊🏾
Love hearing that.

You are such wonderful, loving and respectful parents. I'm sure tgat you are a great light to your family and others around you.

Hi! So excited to have found your channel. Subscribing now! What an amazing journey.
Thank you! We’re so happy to connect with you. Welcome aboard!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thx for subbing
So sorry for negative interactions. I majored in social media management, and I gotta say try and ignore the comments if you can. I view it is as the baseless hatred of our generation. There's really nothing but HaShem, just know there will be justice somewhere, on this side of Shamayim or another. As for you, keep your head up and revealing the light. May HaShem bless your journey. Tehillim 1 says it best
Amazing. Thank you for the encouragement. We are staying strong. We hurt more for the people who says the hurtful things than the actual words spoken. Baseless hatred is correct 💯
We know it comes with the territory
Very inspiring people!
Thank you Daniel!
Keep up the learning yourselves so that you can keep up with your kids.
That’s a fact! 💯 because they’re learning quick lol
This is awesome guys!!! Love the both of you.

Wow! May Hashem bless your entire family. Where are you guys from? I'm sure you talked about it in one of your videos. I just started watching your channel. Thanks for sharing. I am totally inspired by your family.
Hey thx so much David. Grateful that you took time to watch. We’re from Detroit originally!
Just discovered your channel through UA-cam. When do you expect your conversion to be complete? I love your story and the way you have eased your children's way down this path.
Thank you. Happy to be connected🙏🏾. No date yet. BzH soon
Hi Danielle, so beautiful to hear how you’ve grown and how you’ve loved your kids through this process 🙏 Do you have access to a good Torah library? So many excellent resources for kids, books about middos and Hashem. Wishing you continued chizuk in your journey and your learning 💕
I don’t think the greatest thing is that your kids ask questions because that is normal for kids. The greatest thing is that their parents (u 2) created and perpetuate an environment where ur kids feel so comfortable(beyond safe) to ask questions and receive answers.
Awesome message. Thank you!☺️
Extra merit that your kids transitioned so BEAUTIFULLY
We’re very grateful for that! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm so proud of you my beautiful FAMILY! Love you much! Lol I'm still vegan Family lol lol to each his or her own. Yes I love that you two have allowed there to be an open door for my little nieces and nephews! Love and hugs!

You’ve got some fantastic parenting going on with your children. You say that your children have impressed you. I’m very impressed as well because teen years can be difficult.

I am thankful for your channel!
Thank you! We’re so happy to hear. Hope you continue to enjoy
Your family will be blessed during this journey. It is so good to see parents who understand their children's needs. My son excelled in Hebrew Day school.
Love hearing that about your son.
Thank you very much
Beautiful parents ....may you go from strength to strength!

Thank you for bringing us on this journey with you! You both exude Jewish joy and just seem like all around awesome people. Best wishes to you and your beautiful family!
Thank you Mindy! Well it takes one to know one! ☺️ Brachas to you and your family
In terms of food I say, do you! Eat how you want :) Live how you wish to live. My family friend, who is modern orthodox and Jewish, is kosher and vegan, which I think is fantastic but quite hard. I think the way you both handled the issue with your kids is beautiful and I think show not tell is beautiful I think that's so beautiful how they love the lifestyle of being Jewish. You mentioned your daughter is 14 and your son I believe is 13 will they have Bat and Bar Mitvahs I know some people once converted do one to enjoy it.
The converts I've known tend to be the Jewiest Jews. They get really excited at Pesach about celebrating freedom & love eating in the Sukkah even when it's cold. It's good to have these folks around to remind us born Jewish Jews that we have something really wonderful.
This really made us smile!!! 😃 “Jewiest”!! 😂😂😂 We’re all striving to become better and better everyday with Gd’s help
Us Messianic Jews enjoy all the appointed feasts with the same enthusiasm: we are the Bride, waiting for our Galatian Wedding, with The Bride-Groom: Hashem.
Hashem was peirced, on the cross: God wrapped in flesh.
Hashem is the Afikomen: Yeshua's body, broken for His Believers, wrapped in linen, & "hidden"/buried, for the younger generations to: "find"/see/witness.
Hashem has already paid the Bride's Dowry, in the southeast U.S., in the 1990's: gold coins supernaturally manifested and dropped from near the ceiling, when the Christian Church was praying and fasting, asking Hashem for help in paying paying past-due billscand taxes.
The Jewish Rabbis are dishonest, & hide many verses from their followers.
Muslims & Palestine hides: excavated dirt from near the Dome on the Rock...but: when Archealogists were able to dig through just a small portion, the New Testament was proven to be a historical record!
Be encouraged to pray about it, asking Hashem to reveal the Truth. Why would Yeshua declare: "Telestine"/it is finished/paid in full, had God not wrapped Himself in flesh, born of the house of David? Even: John the Baptist was descended from the house of David.
Before this period of Grace is over--be encouraged to look up/listen to & study with: One For Israel, Zev Porat, & Sid Roth. There is much being censored from Jews--it's not fair. Seek the Truth, & ye shall find it!
בהצלחה משפחה יקרה! תעשו חיל!
Thank you!
Hope one day I will meet you
You are the best ❤

Very Helpful
So glad to hear. Thank you
real inspiration! our sages talk so much about how Hashem "loves" converts!
So encouraging to hear
You guys are so smart and have such a great mentality. I have a question, are you choosing to adopt the minhagim of one particular community or are you going with an approach that takes from different communities? I don't think there's a right or wrong way I'm just curious.
Yes! Ashkenazi! Our Rabbi is Ashkenazi so it made sense to follow his minhag!!!👍🏾
And we will be Breslov chassidus!
שלום, על האש!! Conversion or no conversion, I'm sure that they'll grow up wonderfully! שבת שלום
Love that you're sharing this journey with the world. You have a fan from Israel.
Thx Rashi! We’re honored

Wow THATS BEAUTIFUL!!!! Mazal Tov! Thank you so much! Happy to connect
May you guys have Brachas and success!
God bless you! Love you from Israel!
Gd bless you too! And we love ya back
I assume that the Beis Din had you guys enroll your school-age children in a Jewish school. I wanted to know how your children were doing in school and how they are adapting. I also am curious about the kind of effect they are having on both of you as parents. I ask because my children progressed so quickly and seemed to flourish that they sort of put the "pressure" on me and my wife. It is incredible what kind of motivation and good influence your children can have on you. I know it might sound strange to some out there, but I think you know exactly what I'm referring to.
All the best to you both, Binyomin
Yes they did!!! They are flourishing as well and yes teaching us a lot. We couldn’t be more proud of our children!!! I’m so happy to hear that about your kids! May Hashem continue to bless you and your family!🙏🏽💙💙
"Lead by example" - that's it my beautiful people
👍🏾👍🏾
Now that is a question I never thought of before: does the mezuzah have to be at any particular height on the door frame? What if the inhabitant of a particular room in a house is of short stature and is not able to reach very high? Is it permissible to place the mezuzah lower than the "usual" height, so that they can reach it? If they are a child, is it possible to place the mezuzah low when they are young, and gradually raise it as they get older?
You mention having been vegan, and one of the things I noticed that makes keeping kosher easier is vegetarianism. My old R"Y had the idea of being vegetarian during the week and then eating fish on Shabbos in lieu of meat.
Thanks
When my husband and I decided to take our daughters’ lead and become ba’alei t’shuva/ones who return and repent…I liked to say that we took something really good (our marriage, our kids, our family unit and our standing in the community) and just made it all that much better with Torah observance. This is what I believe you are doing. You sound like really good human beings who respect one another and others and raised your children with love and patience and understanding…in other words… real menschen!!! As Rabbi Shurin told me years ago (the rabbi who leads the women’s seminary of Shappell’s Yeshiva in J’lem)… you can teach anyone Torah but you can’t teach them how to be a MENSCH!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 wow what a quote!!! May have to use that lol! (I’ll give your Rabbi credit lol😎) but thank you for sharing your beautiful story. Very encouraging
from my personal experience - the easiest way to keep kosher is being vegan , that way everything is parve and there is no need to have separate dishes , silverware and sinks for meat and dairy , If I was vegan when I was orthodox it would have been a lot less work
Thanks for sharing!👍🏾👍🏾
You guys are inspiring. I converted 25 years ago I was religious for a while but I had some problems and I gave in to adversity. Later I met my wife who isn't Jewish and now I would like to return but how do I return now with family and my wife so into her ways?
Wow thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable! When it comes to your journey shalom bayit is the most important thing you can do! You lead by example by studying and not forcing your wife to do something she doesn’t want to do and lots of prayer! May H’ bless you and your journey and give you lots of shalom Bayit!🙏🏽💙
Be sure to teach them to say Modeh ani. And netilat yadayim, and Asher yatzar. The last two are said so many times in the day they will know them in Hebrew in no time. If they don’t already 😀. Our daughter was able to say them by age 2.
Beautiful! Thx for the advice. They’re working on it❤️
Hi brother and sister shalom from Israel
Shalom family!!
Beautiful! Curious to know which sort of Jewish community you two have joined?
FYI I did some research on dieting and found vegetarian keto with occasional fish to be the most healthy. Meat and dairy are overrated, and despite the encouragement to eat meat and drink wine, I find that eating heathly means more than indulging in lavish meals, its a quandryz, people serving the best tasting meat cholent, and wondrously tasting cheese dishes, etc, but when age kicks in it hurts you later. There is no obligation to eat meat, and restricting it to Shabbos and Yom Tov is sensible.....its the mitzvah of guarding your health and the custom to eat meat over and over and then eat some more. Seeming contradictions......being vegetarian is not against the Torah, its a slight modification of custom (a warranted modification given 120 million Americans are obese, diabetic or pre diabetic, something has to give).....food for thought.....I hope this helps you note the custom vs the obligation.
Are you hoping eventually to make aliyah? If so you might want to consider Tzfat as a possibility for you. There are a lot of gerim here for some reason...( maybe because it is possibly one of the ancient cities of refuge) and so the community is very accepting, there is a big Breslov community here, and we also have an Ethiopian community here as well.. not to mention a relatively large Anglo community..
However it's not so great for parnassah, but great for spirituality... the Israeli population is mostly Sephardi from the Arab countries...
Gd willing… yes! We’ve heard a lot of good things about Tzfat!!! We will keep it in mind 🙏🏾😎
Thank you
I'm jewish and i can still learn from both of you it's very interesting and amazing
Wow!! Your words mean a lot! Thank you for watching❤️😊
Yasher koach for allowing your children their space and time in the process? Will the little ones participate in the mikveh with you?
I believe they will! ☺️
I thought the Shabbaton was in February
How did the rest of your family react?
May I ask what structure you found in Judaism that was missing in Christianity. I have a friend who converted from Christianity to Islam and she also spoke about structure. Thanks for sharing your journey, as a non-religious person I find your journey very interesting😊
Christianity only taught me to just believe…. And everything will be ok. Judaism taught me how to put action behind the belief. There are steps and very detailed directions on how to do everything in Judaism. Thx for asking
I left Christianity and Judaism and converted to Islam after reading Bible, Torah and Quran. I encourage you to read the Quran. May God guide us all. Peace and Blessings
@@halalhabibti3388 how much Torah did you learned? What is in the Quran that is missing in the Torah? for my knowledge. thank you
@@eliedecastro5716 hello. I’ve studied the Torah, the Nevi'im and the Ketuvim. I realized while reading that the Jews actually don’t follow Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). The Jews believe that their rabbis are charged with interpreting its commandments. Therefore, even God’s own judgment cannot outweigh the consensus of the rabbis. I found that strange because God , the All Knowing and Wise doesn’t need permission from His creations & God wouldn’t choose ill prophets whomHe sent specifically for us to follow and why would we follow not the prophet that was specially chosen by God but fallible rabbis? The Quran was revealed and recited and remembered by billions of Muslims and we follow the Quran and the the acts (sunnah) of God final Prophet. We have scholars and imams to help but the Quran is the literal word of God, no contradiction or human intervention and no human (scholar, Imam or rabbi) can outweigh the judgment of the All Mighty God.
@@halalhabibti3388 thank you for responding. How do you know what the Torah says? do you just read it? Do you know biblical Hebrew? Who was you Torah teacher? nothing personal
We are all part of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Thank- you for sharing.
And Thank you for watching!!
Hi I have been thinking about converting for 5 years now but my husband is a devoted Christian I don’t know how to talk him into converting I’m just so lost
Hi Joacob! We definitely hear you and can imagine how tough your situation can be. Trying to Talk someone into changing their religious beliefs will always be tough. A person has to have a want and desire. Continue to love him. If something is meant to be, then it will be. Gd is always in control!
Watch rabbi yosef mizrachis debate between a christian and rabbi on you tube and he has many lectures comparing the religions.... I believe you will get the clarity you are looking for.
How did your kids deal with the shift from the big event of Christmas with their extended family to Chanukah.
Honestly, it was a pretty smooth transition. We explained why we were doing what we were doing! Thank Gd
