I feel like so many women in our times right now have a skewed version of women empowerment. Myself included, I struggled with this for a long time. I once thought that wearing tight clothes/showing skin is empowerment and shows confidence and acceptance of yourself. The opposite is true. Having dignity to be modest is the true empowerment, especially when we live in a world where it is so common to see women dressed inappropriately. By dressing modest you are saying I have enough confidence in myself to attract the right type of people in my life. I don't need reassurance of my body from thirsty men to know my worth. But when someone shows skin it doesnt mean they want to be looked at or get validation from lusty men. Maybe they just want to look good for themselves and i think that is empowering. Maybe it's even just hot outside. Like i live in spain for example and it gets up to 40°C/ 104°F in summer (and the Summers here are like 4 months okay) Of course it's possible to dress modestly in that weather and i prefer to do that personally, but i also understand that people are different and some people feel more comfortable in shorter clothes. Yes they are more revealing but also you just sweat less🤷🏽♀

This is so beautiful. In the beginning of my Christian walk I didn’t think dressing modestly wearing skirts or dresses was a big deal but then I started having the desire to wear dresses or skirts, and when I started wearing women’s clothing I started feeling more like a women and graceful and people were even looking at me and I felt like I was already showing a testimony to others by wearing modest clothing without even saying a word.

What a fabulous conversation! After being born again, I started dressing VERY differently! It made me realize that I was exposing my temple and diminishing my dignity. As women, we should also respect other relationships and marriages by not being a temptation to their eyes. It's human nature to look when someone is exposing what shouldn't be, so if we dress modestly we are not only respecting God & ourselves, but also the people around us. God bless you ladies!

Yes and I vet if we told that we will be meeting our maker for an interview about out reason to be in the kingdom, all women will remove off the wigs, eyelashes, fake butts, and breast and come to the tabernacle in a modest apparel. We sometimes live for the worldly lust. But that's wrong

Love it! I’m a Catholic too and just recently decided to ditch the pants and wear skirts and dresses daily (except gardening) and have veiled at Mass for years. Slowly I’m becoming more feminine for God’s glory. And my husband loves it as well. 💗
I Love women who is young talking about this , knowing that women should dress modestly because we are Christians that we Love the Lord . I wanted way too late until I was in my 50 years old until realizing this.

I live in south Florida and it’s sad how exposed women are on the beach. I have seen women with their children and husbands wearing thong bikinis. All of a sudden it is acceptable to wear thong bikinis and it is really discouraging that women think that’s acceptable. I pray they come to their senses. You look beautiful ladies. God bless you.

I am modest. Have been for years now and have a similar experience. Recently a friend announced she was moving to Quatar and would be modest out of respect to her new home. She is a fashionistas and the comments on her life update were filled with why can't you wear this or that.. and on and on. I commented and explained I was modest, had been for many years and could not wait to see the transition and how she would rock modesty. The comments were mind blowing. People had never really noticed that I was modest which I guess is a great thing.

I love the women in the head wrap outfit, she has her head covered, long skirt covering ankles, top that covers her collarbone to the elbows, and she appears to be wearing flats. She is the best example of the way God wants us to be dressed.

I believe it is about looking like the Lady God made me to be,(pants or dresses) and not dishonoring God or my husband by demanding sexual attention. I did a personal experiment and found that I actually get more respect in a dress . I wear jewelry, but I keep it simple and tasteful

Loved this conversation. I'm new on this journey of modesty but their earlier point about who you are dressing for really convicted me. The thought of dressing to please Jesus gives a lot of perspective. I know I always felt (and still feel) a little uncomfortable with certain shorts and swimsuits at the beach but I was brainwashed by society to believe that as a married woman, it's almost equally important to be sexy for my husband even in public.

The ladies in the video look very lovely, however why are almost all modesty video advocating skirts and dresses only as a standard of modesty? Is there a particular reason for that? Because one can wear pants and still be modest, what about people with jobs that require them to wear pants? It feels a bit judgemental to emphasize that modesty only means flowy skirts and dresses, it's some form of a priviledge because women who only have the option of certain jobs, cannot wear flowy skirts and dresses only, there are also situations that don't allow for dresses only kind of lifestyle. Just putting a different perspective out there.

That part 💯 I often hear the same things. The flowy dresses are only afforded by women who can sit and not be super active throughout the day and also women and wives who don’t work. We need more representation of the women who are on the go. All women of god are not in the position to dress like this all year round. I’m a delivery driver for instance...

With all due respect It’s simple, a woman shall not wear men’s clothing and men shall not wear women’s clothing. (Pants trousers jeans) believe it or not are originally man clothing today’s world just made it so that women can wear them too. We are women we were made to wear skirts in the beginning not jeans and pants . Deuteronomy 22:5 is a good start
It’s not a legalistic thing for women to wear dress or pants it’s just not as pleasing to God to wear pants than it is a dress and I know this because the Holy Spirit convicted me to know this. It is what it is. Women wear skirts but you won’t go to hell for NOT wearing dresses 💜 The Holy Spirit also put that in my heart. But represent God the way you think he wants you represent him. Be modest not only on the outside but inside too
I don’t think pants are bad at all, but most womens pants are tight. If you’re wearing really baggy pants, that’s cool and it’s cute and in style. If you wear a super oversized shirt to cover your butt, that’s fine too.

This was really nice and fun to watch. I've gotten my convictions and have changed a lot of what I use to wear, specially having a son and daughter, I'm glad they were young to not see me and remember what they saw me wear, or were too young to know what wasn't modest. Where I live it's very very bad with dressing. With celebrity and fashion designers just becoming worse people are hard naked or naked. I don't wear tight shirts because I don't like shirts that outline my breast. I see both men and women always look, which makes me very uncomfortable and I also don't want to draw attention in that area and want to be a solution not the cause. I wear long T-Shirts that cover my butt and make sure my front is cover as well. Not sure if anyone notice or experienced this as well but where I live people look at your virgina as well, so I'm very cautious and am mindful of what I wear to make sure my T-Shirt covers and if not I always wear a sweater wrapped around my waist to cover it. There is a lot to look for when dressing, from checking sleeves when lifting your arms to make sure if people look your direction they can't see inside, making sure you wear under garments specially that clothes they make is super see-through, etc. But I am glad that the Holy Spirit has convicted me and sent my friend to share testimonies. Everyday we learn, and I Pray that we will keep learning and being the solution not the cause to help and respect our fellow brother's and Sister's in christ and be different from the world. Modesty is incredibly important. I hope you all follow Christ and His Word without the added traditions of man. These traditions/doctrines of man are taught in the Catholic church. Please seek Him on those doctrines in an unbias search for the truth. May God bless and guide you ladies!

@@momshandle It's very bad to make assumptions and/or false accusations. If you're implying that I do not obey scripture by covering my head when praying or prophesying as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 11:5, then that is wrong of you to do _if_ that is what you're doing. As God lead me throughout the scriptures, He lead me to change and grow according to His Word and it isn't an easy process, but all His children go through it. Head covering is important to me and I strive to have one with me or have one on a majority of the time, but I've sadly had moments without one nearby and have had to improvise. God has helped me with my wardrobe also.
Seek to follow Jesus obediently vs added doctrines. This goes for all denominations and religions, not just Catholics. And lastly, I do not look down on muslim women who wear hijabs, I have actually complimented their modesty before, so that is just another false accusation. Just as everyone else, I just want them to be saved. And by the way, I do forgive you.

Any added doctrines, philosophies, teachings, traditions, holidays, etc. that are not within scripture, is adding to scripture. God has lead me away from celebrating added holidays for instance. The pagan roots and practices are obvious, yet ignored. Many people do this. Seek God in prayer and by His Word, not by false additions given by a church or anyone for that matter. Just want to throw in an opinion into this discussion sisters- revealing clothing has been used as a symbolic liberation, and there's some validity to that- but I feel its also actually left women more open to exploitation as its gotten more acceptable in our societies. The fact that people can use women's bodies to sell almost anything because its become sociality acceptable illustrates this, I feel. Adam was created in the image of God and Eve was created out of Adam's body. Yet the seed of Eve would bear the Redeemer for "man". "And in His image He created him, in the image of God He created them, male and female". So as per Scripture, that's what it means for "a woman to be the glory of man". Just like "she will be saved through child bearing." The human nature of Christ came from the seed of Eve, not the seed of Adam. And since Jesus never produced any children in the flesh; all believers became His glory.
Such beautiful ladies I am new in my walk with Christ and I keep being called to focus on what I wear. I have never been very immodest but I do think I have lost that ethereal feminine energy that you were talking about when you wear longer dresses etc.
Where are the good women like this. Sin has a hold on the mind thru actions that we provoke. All a man wants to do is walk right and prepare for the kingdom.
Modesty also applies to short hair in women, because God's Word says: 1Cor 11:14-16: "Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering. But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies." God's daughters should have long hair (but without fancy pinning them up 1.Timothy 2:9 + 1.Peter 3:3) because that's what sets us apart from men. A woman with short hair looks like a man. And one more thing - Please remember this verse: 1Cor 11:5: "But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head. This modern idea of self validation or dressing for self neglects that God validates us, we don't validate ourselves nor does society or peers. If we are seeking validation outside of Christ we fall short. He is all we need and all we seek. We need a Christ focused view of everything and should only seek to please him.

What was the purpose for clothing in the first place? (Adam and Eve sewed themselves together fig leaves because they were ashamed of their nakedness.)
As apparel apples to God; who has no sin; in that sense, "dressing for God" is irrelevant. Certainly not that modesty isn't important because we live in a fallen world. Even Jesus generally wore clothing even though from a personal moral standpoint of hiding sin, clothing wasn't technically necessary for him, because Jesus didn't have any sin. Yet he still lived in a world that contended with the sin of others.
So clothing and modesty only has a peripheral relationship to God, in regards to the reason we wear clothing in the first place. The parable is that if we are to be able to stand in the presence of God; we need the righteousness of Christ to cover our sin. (That's why God Himself killed an animal to dress Adam and Eve.) "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." And it doesn't matter how pretty our earthly outfits are. "All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."
I think the issue is not on how much cloth is in your body. women athletes like gymnasts, swimmers and ballet dancers they wear revealing clothes and not much is said about it because the context is not sensual.
I don’t think it is a good idea to think “if you don’t feel comfortable wearing this in front of Jesus, don’t wear it.” I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing my bathroom necessities in front of Jesus. And going pee and poo isn’t sinful and Jesus is certainly seeing us do it everyday.
A married couple with no children can certainly walk naked in the house with no problem at all. At least I don’t see any biblical reason to be obligated not to do so.
In my view, the reason why nakedness became an issue is because we are sinful and bereft of God’s glory in us. So we are gloryless creatures and because of this we don’t feel good naked around other people. So we are instinctually driven to cover ourselves someway.
Our clothes send messages to other people about ourselves. What message do we want to convey?

Even filming this video, we see the older woman has on something longer appearing with her lower body in the camera. The young ladies should have on something longer as well as to not draw attention to their legs. You see, it was still about how they are seen, humanism. But we are supposed to draw attention to Christ.
