    The "little black tube" is an actuator, these control how much travel there is as that is what presses the microswitches (1mm oversized for quicker response/less travel)....it looks like a universal mounting plate so you would not need sanwa parts when modding (buttons nor lever). This review is good, but I feel your reviewing it without much context of what is available at the price or lower/higher. And there are some details that can help like the spring tension(1lb, 2lb) and so on. I think you should have fitted the replacement lever just to more fully test it....then when the e clip pops off and the spring and actuator pop out you would immediately understand what the key parts of the lever are/do. Maybe next time mess around with one a bit and try switching the parts out....as for all we/you know the alt lever you may have liked more? You don't know until you try it

    i get not everyone is consumed by fighting games like me or the FGC. but it's kind of hard to take this review seriously the only people buying this stick are the hardcore fighting game fans so the info coming from a guy that this stick seems to be his first stick is odd. like attacking the Sanwa buttons saying there not clickie sanwa is the safe button option that most players would want and expect on a stick like this. or setting the stick to analog, which will do nothing that option is there if there is a game or menu that dpad doesn't work

      Hey loot any input on mechanical buttons?. I personally use sanwa. I know crown masked mechanical buttons and they are more available. Gamerfinger are hard to find and expensive. There is a mode to turn sanwa buttons to mechanical but that’s always sold out?

    • @nellen55
      @nellen55 Рік тому

      @@emmanuelhernandez3200 I own a couple super custom sticks and as far as buttons go I don't think they matter as much as the lever(i use a Sanwa with the otto DIY kits on all my sticks), Sanwa buttons are fine you will not gain performance really by switching buttons, but if you want a deferent feel i like the crown SDB-202 and qumba gravity are also really good

    You glossed over the functions of the buttons. The only thing not obvious and the only thing separating this from other sticks (besides the look). 5/10 usefulness of a review

    This product is a total mess. No R3 and L3 buttons. Operating the additional functions is not intuitive at all. And it is drastically overpriced. I would love to get this if it had the R3/L3 instead of Qanba's Obsidian2. Total bummer.

    I bought one via amazon based on this review - and was rather disappointed. The Joystick (Analog or DPad) did not work at all or moved by itself to the left. Really sad for that price. I am now in contact with PDP customer service regarding repair or if I simply return via amazon.
    What do you suggest? Thanks either was for the review!

    If i pay $400 for a stick, those button presses better be cemetery silent.
    I've only owned a SF4 MadKatz TE and personally, i was never fond with how loud the button presses are since you're hitting plastic into hollow plastic. It doesn't give me an old school arcade cabinet feel where the button presses frankly were boring, but they werent obnoxious. We didn't have gated joysticks so they were silent as well, but i can deal with that.

    oh man i respect doing a review of arcade sticks but man this was painful coming from somebody who has made their own and actually owns one of these plus many others. Nonetheless keep up the good work and would love to see more fighting game content in any from! Cheers

    Can you remap the pro button on the Victrix pro fs to the start button?

  • @spragzpc1

    I can confirm the buttons are boring to press. It took me a while to figure that out it just felt weird, but I guess it was to reduce button travel time.

    Can someone explain why R1 is on the left of L1?

    • @tj1622
      @tj1622 10 місяців тому

      Typically most 6 button fighting games have heavy punch and heavy kick on R1 and RT. Having those next to the face buttons and in line with the other punch/kick button makes it so that you don't have to remap the buttons. They are already where you need them to be. L1 and LT are typically shortcut buttons so they get put to the far right as they are usually not as useful on a stick where you can very easily just press the combo that those buttons are shortcuts for.

    It feels like a paid review. Lots of stuff about how cool and cool it is, but you never showed how it's actually played in real time. It's like doing a review of an iPhone and telling the whole issue what's in the packaging and what a cool material the smartphone is made of.

    • @NoisyPixelNews

      fightsticks range in price, for someone like me that has 1000s of hours and travels for fighting games I'm willing to spend money on something that makes me happy to use and look at. i own multiple fight sticks that are fully custom that cost more then i would like to add up. this stick is not made for you and that's fine you can pick up a qumba stick and be happy that's fine
