Hello Christine, you out did yourself again with another beautifully filmed video. Thank you for the tagalong to the Sawtooths. It's certainly magnificent country. All the best to you Dear. Please stay safe and healthy. 🤗
Have never been into the sawtooth! Next year I'll be doing the sawtooth loop in September although I think I will make it a 10 day trip so I can explore many of the lakes that there are no trails to! Thank you for the video of the amazing country
A lot of Elk in that area. Maybe that was a red mountain fox, very rare, you were lucky to see him. When my wife was a live, we hiked the sawtooths, her grandparents lived there, every October beautiful time to hike for fall colors. But you could expect rain and snow showers then. Also you are looking very stealthy, look like you carry a light pack. You need to give some assistance to Kat. Everytime I watch her videos with huge pack. Beautiful hike. Thanks 😊
Hi John! I found out that it is a cross fox. Very beautiful animal. Cat and I carry about the same stuff and while my set-up is a little lighter that's because I made the investment in lightweight items for the PCT. For some reason her pack just looks deceivingly large. ;)
Wow! Love the Sawtooths! Beautifully shot video showing some of that stunning scenery. I was amazed by your 14,000 ft hike the other day, and now this - what an epic summer you're having!
I love the mirror image on the mountain lakes. That look like a fox to me. I know the color wasn't a typical red fox but they do sometimes have large black patches.
Absolutely beautiful video! There's nothing like a good solo trip to reset your stress button. The fox (?) was awesome. I hope to visit this area someday. Thanks for taking us along :)
OK, I haven’t even finished the video; I had to look up the fox. It is a red fox; the species has a lot of color variations. This one is known as cross type. Now I’ll finish the video!
Beautiful area...going to hit the Sierras after Labor Day...BUT...Cali is on fire! Hoping the smoke is not to bad and that there are no road closures. Playing it by ear....if I hear its a mess up there it may just be no trips this year. 2020 GO AWAY. Take care Christine...LOL out to you
Everything was beautiful, so can you make longer videos please? Because i really enjoy your description of the day and the lanscape but it s finish to quick.
I would certainly share this video with a forest ranger if I were you. I have tried Googling what that animal is @ 5:25. I don't think it is a fox. Every pic I find in Google is not representative of the animal in this video. I have only seen one fox in the wild. It looked nothing like this. It seems to me that the tail is significantly longer than a fox or coyote. The markings are clearly different than a fox or coyote that I have ever seen. It appears to be a tad thicker and huskier as well. I hope someone can shed some light on what that beautiful animal is. I'd be curious to know what it is.
@@nomad_unknown Christine, Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment. My wife and I aspire to do some part time van life on the road. If I ever run into you and/or Cathy it would be great to have a campfire meal. The 2 of you make really wonderful videos. Both of you really help keep inspiration alive. Thank you. Be safe and be blessed.
You are right, the Sawtooths are distinctive, their own, not Sierra Nevada or Rockies, must less San Juan’s . I like your emerging style of video and story telling.
Thank you for the wonderful video! What time of year did you go? Seems like there were no bugs? Did you bring bear spray and / or vault? Thanks! We’re thinking of hiking this loop in Early Sept. ;)
Gorgeous hike! Your Aunt's beautiful film making is rubbing off on you. What a pleasure to watch.🌻💛

I live in Idaho and always wanted to do this but unfortunately I waited too long and my body won't allow it. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Just . Beautiful
Breathtaking Scenery!
fantastic / your tent reminds me the Marshall Islands flag but the blue is darker on it. Dont ask me why.
Sick video! Motivation for my next venture. Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!

Feels unfinished, hope it's a two part series.
Wow, what was that thing at 5:00
It's a cross fox. :)
Great hike, great video. Do you get Grizzlies there?
No grizzlies in the Sawtooths. I don't hike alone in grizzly country.
I think it was a fox 🙂
Christine, are you going to the dark side? Doing your camp review in the shade? LOL
🤣😁
Wow! Nice video!!! Thank you....Anyone that would give you a thumbs down has the IQ of a fence post.
This area looks a lot like the Sierra Nevada
Is this in the sierras because it’s just as awesome looking as some of the sierras?
No, it does bear some similarities but there are subtle differences. This range is in Idaho.
Great video. Excellent videography. What camera do you use? Crow✌️
Sony a6400
Beautiful video and a beautiful you lil lady
2 15 second videos no thank you
