I bet this lifestyle is hard at times. I’m guessing the day to day stuff gets to be a drag but the freedom to go where you want and seeing new things makes it worth it. I’m leaving my home January 1st, coming to the RTR for the first time in what will be my first major roadtrip. I’m hoping to be on the road for all of January, February and March. Return home in early April. I plan to get a hotel room to get a good nights rest, shower and recharge myself and equipment as needed tho.

You're telling my story. It kept getting worse and worse. I couldn't sleep at night. I sold my first RV because of it, THEM! Now I regret it every day.

I have had mice invade my car twice. I've placed no-kill mice traps and caught them. Put so cheese in the traps or whatever you have on hand. I don't like killing them, so I just release them a distance from my car. Both times they've been tiny and cute.

Girlfriend I'd rethink traveling out into the middle of the desert to a festival named after some kind of leftover joke from a men's locker room. Don't be fooled and lured into the desert or anywhere else for that matter, that involve raunchy names that men who know better would ever say around a lady, much less advertise it! This whole thing is just a test to see who'd show up. It's no coincidence it's far from anything. You think this could have been held in a nice place like say, Mission Viejo?

Getting sick as a nomad alone and away from love ones makes you feel as vulnerable as a child, after several years of living the Van life fairy tale I was nearly killed by covid in its first month, it left me fearful to get back to this beautiful life, thank God I got over it and I'm again a full-time vanlifer living my greatest life ever

Don't ever apologize for taking breaks. When I worked full time for a plumbing company. I used to take 1 weeks off each quarter. My Boss hated it, but he really didn't have a choice. Now that I run my own Company and I'm semi-retired. I take break all the time. If you are anything like me, INFJ-T you must have breaks to recharged. I'm not saying you are one of these rare personalities, but I watch just about all the vanlifers and they all seem to have one of the 16 personalities types. It takes a rare personality to live on the road in a car. INFJ love to be around family and friends, but we find it very draining. You might of just needed a recharged. ./cheers

For whatever it's worth, many many people are also feeling the same exact thing you described. AND getting sick with various colds, etc, on a GLOBAL scale. It's nothing you are doing wrong. It's the energy shift we are all going through right now. If you tap into it, you can tell and actually FEEL this shift. It has to do with the way the planets are lining up. I liken it to like the pandemic almost because it's affecting ALL of us Globally, except more subtle and of coarse not as devastating. This, too, shall pass. Be kind to yourself, do whatever self care you need to do to take care of YOU, and know you are not alone. We are all loved by a benevolent Universe who is watching over all of us. We are moving thru the energy, and as uncomfortable as it is, JUST WAIT until we end up on the other side of it! Many blessings and gifts are in-store . Take care of yourself. When me and my sister were camped out in the redwoods in our vehicles I had a baby skunk try and make a home inside my left front tire well. I blasted my music and that is how I got rid of it finally. It was really cute and even thought about how cool it would be to make a pet out of it. I kind of missed it when it was gone.

Looked very delicious… I use peppermint spray inside the engine bay and the tires once to twice a week. By way, you need to flush your break fluid.

Loved my travels through JT. So quiet when I stopped to take a leak it sounded like a thunderstorm…. As far as spiders and rodents…. Glue traps….. Take no prisoners.
