Brother, you make it look so easy. You should have been a small engine instructor. I friend of mine that worked as a line mechanic with me quit and became a Votech auto mechanics instructor. He was great. Won many awards. That is so you. He and I graduated from Nashville Auto College. He’s about 8-10 yrs older than me though. Great video

Great video. Found out that the hard way, if you loop the drive belt on the wrong side of the idler pully looping left to right, it really doesn't want to go. Really sucks being dyslexic. Switched sides and it drives like a champ. Thanks for a great instruction. next time I draw a diagram.

@RayleysSmallengines I have a 2017 husqvarna z254 zero turn mower right! My mower works fine when I start to cut my yard until about 30 to 44 minutes in to cutting my yard and then my mower starts to gradually slows down and won't go! But when I turn the mower off and let it sit about 30 minutes to an hour and when I start it back up it starts to cut back like nothing never happened to it🤷🏽‍♂️! What do you think is wrong with my mower?

Great video. I had to replace the idler pulley and the belt. This video walked me through it step by step. I did exactly what you said and I had no problems at all. The hardest part was getting under the mower without a lift, but I still managed to get it done. Fantastic video.

I was cutting today and all of a sudden it wouldnt drive. Rocked back and forth and eventually it limped back to the garage.. about halfway back in stopped driving again. Belt looks to be in good condition. What can it be?

I change the drive belt and it’s routed same as this diagram and spring is towards the right and still won’t drive. I hook spring to the left hand side and it drives but slips. Belt is brand new. I’m stumped?

You made what at first glance seems almost impossible, actually possible! Good thing, because I’ve got a Snapper ZT in right now and in checking the belts I found the hydro belt is cracked almost all the way through! Thanks, brother! 🔧👍
I haven’t exactly figured out what’s going on yet, but another belt seems twisted in at least a couple pulleys. I suspect it was too short.

It amazes me why people wear flip flops while working on equipment. Good way to lose a few piggies. First priority should be safety first. Otherwise excellent video .
