I've started to use the mantra "try softer" instead of "try harder". Btw, I like your spiritual touch about the connection through energy at the end of the class.
So much of getting through hot yoga class is mental, so setting intentions seems like a good alternative to "Why am I in this scorching hot room doing this?" 😉
