Fengureek is part of a traditional dish known as hilbeh. In yemen people pour boiled water onto it and let it soak for a while until its soft. Then they get rid of the water. They then blend fenugreek with garlic, cilantro and yoghurt and a little bit of water. You can also add tomatoes, lemon or add anything else you like. It is then eaten as a side dish with any type of savoury main meal. You should try :)

Making chickpea flour was already on my to do list for those carby days so I'm happy to hear they're a good food choice, thank you.

what do you drink with your meals?
to absorb the max nutrients from legumes you gotta drink it with lemonade or limeade( no sugar ofcourse).
WHOLE juiced organic limeade inhibits lipid perioxidation( if you ever have fatty meals OR high carb meals)
i prefer to consume legumes that are UNDERCOOKED( slightly crunchy) because the phytic acid reduce all cause mortality.
i balance the meal with limeade to inhibit the binding of phytic acid to important minerals the body needs.
limes also increase bile production to healp break down high fiber foods.

Yes. You are absolutely right about adding lemons or lemon juice to vegetables, legumes, mushrooms, beans and peas. Similarly, dairy is also another that can do wonders especially when some of our traditional cuisines use dairy such as Cream of Mushrooms soup, Clam Chowder soup and more.
I am into Immunology and Gerontology research work in Asia over 18 years.
What we have discovered so far are that Hormonal Disruptions including Endocrine Disruptions occur in all human bodies if certain foods are consumed that are hormonal disruptors to the individual.
As such we have to reduce whatever foods that may cause hormonal and endocrine imbalances, disruptions or disorders which can prevent autoimmune or chronic diseases and reverse aging.

@angeljuliedr that's great! I'm no biologist, but I have greatly done research and conducted experiments on myself that i believe to be anti-Aging. the beans I make are actualy doing GREAT for my gut health I have combined beans from all over the world to make a very nutritious meal.
      so far, it's going GREAT.
lately, I have been making an extract from lotus seeds to use as a moisturizer with African shea butter and EVOO and other ingredients.
the compounds in the lotus seed are very promising for anti-aging. I plan to use it for 3 months and see my results.

Beans are fine if you either ferment them, or soak well, rinse with baking soda and cook in a pressure cooker.
I don't have time to do beans (I like chickpeas and lentils);but I am a generous maker and giver of Sauerkraut and pickles to friends and my Christian brothers and sisters here in Singapore and also in the Philippines and overseas. (Fyi I just returned to Spore 17 months ago).
I also consume all wholesome Japanese products like Natto and Miso and award-winning Japanese green teas that I am a Reseller of, as well as exotic foods and superfoods.
As for Lotus roots, I am not sure but heard that these are grown in water logged ponds and lakes and fields that are similar growing environment as paddy and rice which may absorb a significant amount of Arsenic. You may need to do more reading up and research on lotus plants.
Not so much of seeds for me because most seeds are so small and washing them soaking them takes too much time.
I love fish and seafood, and a very small amount of fruits (low sugar and low glycemic ones).
Enzyme-rich foods are equally important as pre- and probiotic foods.
Intermittent Fasting, barefoot beach walking and backwards walking are all great for longevity.
The top cause of sickness and diseases other than stress, is hormonal and endocrine disruptions. Simply put, our body has too many hormones that need to be in balance as well as our atoms that make up our cells in our body.
Hormonal imbalances, disorders and disruptions will lead to long term autoimmune and chronic disorders.
That's what immunology and immunotherapy research work that I have done for the past 18 years has unveiled, with much of our focus on dementia and gerontology.

The variations in trigonelline content you report point to a major flaw in your entire experiment. That is, you don’t really know how much of any micro or macronutrient is an any of your food samples despite what chronometer says. Food nutrients differ from cultivar to cultivar, soil variances, where they’re grown, time of year they’re grown and likely other factors too.

As previously cited, Italian clover has the highest level of trig found in foods - even higher than unprocessed coffee. No idea whether the levels are higher in sprouts or seeds or the mature plant ... nor whether the seeds are edible. I've taken two and four capsules a day. The brands they recommended though just have funugreek capsules and not a concentrated extract so not sure about the recommendation. I eat/chew some of the seeds after meals and am also worried about my teeth with that; kind of found a different chewing stroke that seems better. Will have to try grinding like you're doing. It is phytoestrogenic, but I dont think it increases estrogen- phytoestrogen just mimics estrogen to keep estrogen receptors happy. In fact, I it seems to increase testosterone levels because it inhibits the enzymes like aromatase and 5-alpha-reductase and limits the metabolism of serum testosterone. I also just read that it positively reduced body fat, increased lean body mass, improved muscle strength and endurance, and accelerated the rate of glycogen resynthesis during post-exercise recovery. Its anabolic and androgenic activity is responsible for enhanced muscle performance. I wish I could take it myself now, but I can’t because I am on HRT

Yes, but I didn't measure homocysteine, NAD, epigenetics or metabolomics during those tests...

Maybe a higher-fiber version (85 vs 30g/d) without olive oil (olives instead) and wine. But, I didn't settle on this diet because of published data in others...

For the fenugreek experiment I sent blood for analysis on 2/2, results are expected by the 15th, I'll post them as soon as they're in

u may be somewhat opposed to the concept of supplements
but if u wanna #livethathustlelife u could just create some lab tested trigonelline (maybe fenugreek/coffee extract) and sell it
u got some phd so u got some good amount of credibility (which in ur case compared to many other phd ppl for once is actual fact)
could get rid of ur day job eventually if sales r good (which u mentioned in another vid is a potential longterm wish of urs) and since trigonelline (among other cool things u find) is largely unknown (by the supplement industry) so u could be spearheading that sector probably relatively easily
great thing about supplements is that they r like a subscription service, so they provide a steady income once the balls gotten rolling 😂

Hi Michael, perhaps it is a problem of bioavailability.
Besides this, I don't know if you've seen, Kay Bart has made a video about your last video on fiber. I was wondering if you had any comments. Kay Bart is kind of like a dumbass character, but let's stick to the scientific arguments.
