SMAW - Single Bevel 2G Welding Project

This video is a step by step demonstration on how to prepare, assemble, and weld a Horizontal Single-Bevel Groove weld with a Backing Bar.
This is a project I use in my intermediate SMAW course. It prepares students for structural work they may do out in industry, and prepares them for open-groove welding that they will get to do in the SMAW advance class.

Thanks for showing how this is done. I would like to see more videos similar to this using 3G open root vertical up, using 6010 for the root pass and 7018 for fill and cover.
