Very nice video! Thanks. I do have 2 questions. 1. When we use the 7018 in vertical we might use c/z weave but is it uphill/downhill or both? 2. Outside of 6010 we only do straight movements right? Nothing for 6011 even? Thanks again.
Thank you for watching! Typically, when using 7018 on vertical welds you'll be traveling uphill. Welding downhill usually calls for the use of a "fast freezing" electrode like 6010. Yes, typically with 6010 or 6011 you'll be depositing stringer beads. Now depending on the joint, you could use a slight and quick side to side motion; for example, running a downhill cover pass on 5g pipe, you could run a stringer bread but also move the electrode side to side to slightly widen the bead. Hope this helps!
My apologies. I did have to take a step back for some time, the past couple of semesters have been a doozie. Moving forward I do plan on being more active.
You are precise easy to understand and the best on line to learn from.Thanks.
Thank you as well!

I am not sure what size electrode you using and other than the size of the weld possibly which one are you using
In this video I'm using 1/8" diameter electrodes. I apologize for leaving that information out.
It looks like from the comment that was already posted with no answer, he's not answering any comments
