I kind of felt the same way Kent. I think it was because I associate Haley with the upbeat, playful, jazzy songs while this particular video was quite melancholy. She didn't have any opportunity to bring up the energy with that powerful voice of hers. Having said that, I love Haley's music and won't shy away from the next video that gets uploaded. Great suggestion Richard.
It doesn't matter what Haley sings, it's going to be great. Haley and Angelina Jordan are 2 of the most incredible talents today. Would love to hear the two of them together.

Thanks, Kent. That was an odd conclusion, but I can't disagree. Haley has one of the best voices I can remember, and her vocal skills are superb. Lyrics never interest me as much as the music and the quality of the singer's voice, but normally a video is a plus. This song's lyrics move right along, but the visual "storyline" isn't a good fit -- like you said. In the case of her original song "Honey, There's the Door" ( reaction is here: ua-cam.com/video/va4N-cK6SpE/v-deo.html ) we got a beautifully aligned combination of music, lyrics, and video "story." Thank you, Jay, for the link to the live version...it's more satisfying than the official video.

@@jaybourne1185 I agree. "Don't Speak" was arranged by Scott Bradlee, and the performance appears to be recorded live, not dubbed in the studio.

The reason why this reaction videos hardly has any views is because the reactor reacted to a Haley Reinhart official video which are always atrocious because they are all low-budget affairs, as opposed to reacting to a live performance in which are always astronomically far better and entertaining.
The lesson one should learn from this idiotic blunder, is never ever, ever react to a Haley Reinhart official video and always and only react to Haley Reinhart live performances.
Haley Reinhart official videos are the worse low-budget music videos in the world. As they do her far more harm than they do her good. Whenever reacting to Haley Reinhart music, reactors are much better served by reacting to her live performance videos, as opposed to her horrible official music videos that all stink to high heaven.
