It’s so unfair they experience prejudice and racism, especially in the wake of everything, but as shown here they don’t let it drag them down. Whether we did or did not fight alongside the British historically is irrelevant. In current day Britain there's harmony between us, unlike Islam of course.
I am Spanish and here in Spain what I very much like about most Sikhs is that they treat women equally and that Sikh girls work outside from home and are hard working and kind, regardless of the nationality of others. I once visited a Sikh Temple on a tourist journey to India and it was so nice to see how much they cared for others giving them food,...I think that some people just lack the knowledge and they need a kind explanation about Sikhism to appreciate it more. About racist people who want to send them "home" as a young girl one of the nicest things I recall when I reached London for the first time was seeing a Sikh worker at the airport being welcoming, smiling and waving his hand saying hello. I felt less afraid☺️
If you've never been to a Sikh temple before I advise you to visit one and eat the food, it's so good 😍, even if you don't want to pray you can go eat no questions asked
I'm sure you can. The "Langar"( I think thats right, I'm not really a sikh, just born from the heritage.) is intended to be a feeding hall for anyone, male, women, sikhs, non sikhs, whites, blacks etc etc etc. The friend and the enemy can even eat there. If you walk in, just take off your shoes, cover your head (there are clothes supplied for those without) and go get a tray thing and fill it with whatever you want, eat as much as you want and if you ask to take some, they'll let you. Everyone who works there does it voluntarily. If you are ever poor/homeless/hungry... Go to a gurduwara(sikh temple) and help yourself to whatever you want. They will never ever turn you down.

I have several sikh friends, and one thing common in all of them, at least from my point of view is - they love punjab, they will mention that "we are punjabi, so we do it like this" or "it's because we are punjabi", or anything, they will never forget to mention punjab in their conversations, - even though i don't speak punjabi, they will start talking to each other in punjabi and i'm like completely lost in the conversation, - They all love to joke around, drink, eat, they especially love chicken and curry, they love to dance out on punjabi music, do bhangra, and love to smoke a joint, at least the ones i hang out with lol. - One last thing, they are also very friendly people, they will help you if you need help, they are fun to hang out with, they rarely talk about negative things, they are always optimistic, good people to have as friends.
A Sikh is not supposed to smoke joints, weed and cigarette, do any sort of drug, and are not allowed to drink alcohol (or get drunk in any way) as per the commands of our gurus... But there are almost all types of people.. But yeah thanks, no matter what most of Sikhs are good hearted people and brave..
I had a Sikh teacher. Best teacher ever! He was always available to help out and genuinely cared for his students. I remember during our HSC (Year 12 in Australia), Mr. Singh invited us all for a "holiday class" but it was really just a little class gatho where he bought food for us and spoke to us about time management and managing stress during our final exams.
Worked at a private high school in Los Angeles, there were several Sikh students. They were so polite and well spoken. One girl had hair down to the floor, she was stunning, smart and funny.
You gotta credit the old folk they are the best. I once went trick or treating (2017) and this elder woman gave me a 10 pound note. And then one year later I accidentally scraped her car with my scooter and I was sooo guilty

KESARI - This is a great movie, based on an incredible true story of the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897. They fought to the last man, asking and giving no quarter. This is filmed in a beautiful land. The battle was fought at Saragarhi, a small village at border district of Kohat, situated on the Samna Range, in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (previously Northwest Frontier Provience) present-day Pakistan. It is filmed in Hindi, and I did not understand but a few words that were spoken in English, but knowing the story of the battle it was easy to enjoy this great movie. It has great videography, special effects, and acting. In my opinion this would be worthy of several Academy Awards. The lead actor was phenomenal These are my opinions.....feel free to make them your own.

I would like to thank him very much for all he taught me.
Sikh's are . . . I have no worlds that can say how amazing they are. Im not religiose my self but Sikh's have always been kind to me and everyone here in Canada. When I was homeless, I was a ghost to everyone but a Sikh would see me and give me food. He never said a word to me though. He would just show up, give me food and sometimes cloths, Smile and walk away. Almost as if it was his job to do this for me. I would say Thank you it was almost as if he ignored it and continued to get stuff out of his bag for me. THEN when i got back on my feet I found him working in a Phone store and I said hello and asked if he remembered me. He said Yes, With a big smile and Nothing more. I do not think He wanted my Thanks. He was just doing good and that was it. In this cold world I had never seen this type of person before. SOmeone who just did good things just because. He did not want a parade, He did not want to be a Hero. He just did it. There is one question that is driving me mad. Please put me out of my misery. How do the Sikhs deal with the heat? Given that they have to wear their turbans all day all year round. Surely, the undissipated heat could do damage to the brain. If I were to wear a turban indoors for a couple of hours my brain would begin to cook.
@@bobburborjigin9938actually you will be surprise I have heard many people say that turban helps with the heat. Also using lighter material during summer also helps.

Cool. Can you take "Doggy bags"?

- they love punjab, they will mention that "we are punjabi, so we do it like this" or "it's because we are punjabi", or anything, they will never forget to mention punjab in their conversations,
- even though i don't speak punjabi, they will start talking to each other in punjabi and i'm like completely lost in the conversation,
- They all love to joke around, drink, eat, they especially love chicken and curry, they love to dance out on punjabi music, do bhangra, and love to smoke a joint, at least the ones i hang out with lol.
- One last thing, they are also very friendly people, they will help you if you need help, they are fun to hang out with, they rarely talk about negative things, they are always optimistic, good people to have as friends.

@@bobburborjigin9938actually you will be surprise I have heard many people say that turban helps with the heat. Also using lighter material during summer also helps.
“Nooo where are you FROM?”
“...it’s so good to be Asian”
My god...
I also find people get relieved when I tell them I'm not Muslim. I just try not to clarify now. I keep my background ambiguous. I don't want to be friends with small minded people
People that defend muslims deserve to live with them when they are a majority
Its not about being small minded it is justifiable fear. I have read the koran, they are told to kill us where they find us. In the west not many want too but it only takes one that does.

Where is your proof ? Lol You have never read the Quran neither you can spell it correctly. “Koran”😂
My neighbor is sikh, he's really generous. But I don't care about his religion. I mean religion is something personal, relationship between individual and God. If you're good and we're good. If you're cruel, I hate you, not entire community. Racist is normal, I mean people like to compare the difference. but spread hate and offensive in public isn't normal. So if you're racist better keep it for your self, stop act like you know everything, and start act like an adult.
"Can you sing, Singh?" Do people actually say that?

I've had friends explain all the different Pagh designs and ways of tying it and it's a lot...I just can't wrap my head around it (heh).
Sofia Watch “basics of sikhi” on you tube , for more information sister
As a Christian who lives amongst Sikhs I view you all as brothers and sisters. Sikhs are very good people who work hard and are very nice people.
There is something so gracious about Sikhs.
