The sikh religion is being hijacked by thugs. Real Sikhs are cool but these hijackers are cruel and violent. Most religions have meek approach to defending themselves... Its literally built into Sikhism, "You mess with a bull, u get the horns." We have no issue defending ourselves.
In Sikhism the 10th guru propogated this concept that good spiritual people should not sit silent in the affairs of kingship, they should rule its their right.

I grew up around in London, where there’s a sizeable Sikh community. In my experience they are the most friendly, inclusive and welcoming religious community I’ve ever encountered. I made friends with some Sikhs, and one of the old ladies I worked with taught me how to make North Indian food, and we taught each other about our spiritual beliefs. I was the first time they’d met a neo-norse pagan.
By Christianity's current defn of "God" Sikhs, whether they understand it or not would align much more closely to an Atheist -with rejection of a notion of a anthropomorphic deity
Lassi isn't a slur or a term of disrespect, Sikhs who happen to be Punjabis contain within them the ability to digest milk, a tolerance for its consumption, a reason why they are stronger taller and have better genetics than much of the subcontinent. Furthermore, don't you drink cow piss on your religion?
This is actually quite well done. There are some more interesting details missed at various points but overall as a superficial understanding of the history of the Sikhs from 1st to last guru in a 20 minute video - it was not bad at all. There is so much more to the religion - historically speaking, than what was shown for that time period but that will make for a much longer video. Still - great job on whatever was covered

Ill be honest i didnt click on this video (and i probably wouldnt have if there was more Roman, Greek, or Egyptian historical videos in the recommended-next video section), however, im glad i took too long to keep it from auto-playing to this. Ive always been curious about Sikh-ism or Sikh's or whichever way is most proper to refer to it, but never really got clarification about its details or what the theology/culture/history/etcetera as theres not really anyone who hails from said faith or culture in my area of the world since i live in a semi-rural, but partially suburban area of the US in the sort of Midwest, sort of South, sort of East Coast region and im rather far from the major population centers of NYC, LA, Chicago, etcetera. So ive never met anyone who could break it down or explain it to me so im glad i stumbled upon this gem of a breakdown/evaluation video.

Over the past years since the inception of this fine channel I have learned so much more about worldwide human history. I first started studying history ( particularly ancient and medieval military history in 1956). As you can see I'm still at it. Thank you so much my friends.
I really appreciate the thorough research that went into this. As per my knowledge, guru gobind Singh ji did not die to the assassin, but rather from the wound reopening a little further down the line, after treatment from a European doctor
When I was young and traveled abroad to study, my father told me that if I am ever in trouble or don’t know where to turn, go to the nearest gurdwara and the Sikhs will always help you. I now give the same advice to my children. We are not Sikhs, but have immense respect for them ❤
If you are a hindu then I certainly won't suggest you to teach that to your children because they will most likely be attacked at a Gurudwara by Sikhs, especially abroad.
so let me ask you why your Hindu parents would tell their children to ask Sikhs instead of other Hindus for help? It’s because they know their history and even maybe seen sikhs in action, now the issue I have is when the Sikhs need help from other communities especially Hindu why don’t Hindus help them? Example I just recently watched a video of a Hindu woman doctor who was raped by a gang of Hindu men and seen protesting in the streets then I remembered about another video about different Hindu woman in a bus raped by bunch of Hindu men including the bus driver and seen videos of protesting throughout India for these 2 Hindu women who were raped but when thousands of Sikh women who were beaten raped in front of their fathers and then killed by burning them alive in 1984 Sikh genocide on the streets of Delhi then why were Hindus silent why no Hindus came out of their house and protested or the same parents tell their children to also stand with Sikhs as they always stood by them?? If Hindu women always look for Sikhs to help but in return they will never stand by them when they are even pretesting the genocide, but we get ungrateful Hindus like this guy above my comment making stupid comments telling don’t go to gurdwara because they will attack you for no reason.
@@Tera_Baap_Ka_Baap_Ka_BaapWhy didn't Sikhs come out in support of the Hindus who were pulled down from buses and unalived by Sikhs? Why don't Sikhs condemn the assassination of Hindu journalists during the insurgency for merely doing their job and freedom of expression?
@@Tera_Baap_Ka_Baap_Ka_BaapAnd why would Hindus be grateful to you exactly? Grateful that you plagiarised the Upanishads and appropriated our gods and doctrines as your own? No thanks.
@@hindugramsci Why do you people always trying to justify the Sikh doing killing of Hindus with lies? And It was actually the government agents called “Cats” who were disguised as Sikhs with turbans who pulled other Hindus from a bus and killed them with bullets so then no Hindus or anyone else would support or feel any sympathy for Sikhs who died after the Indian government attacked the golden temple and murdered Sikhs. But I’m sure you already knew that, search “pinky cat” tells his story who was one of those cats from 80’s revealed what really happened If you have any evidence please provide it, it was actually the opposite of what the Indian newspapers were saying there was no Hindus killed in any villages from records if you have proof prove me wrong. Expect for a few government owned newspapers at that time saying Sikhs killed Hindus just to tarnish their reputation and image but if you look at the actual records in Punjab in the 80’s you won’t see any incidents that took place of incident Hindus killings. But Sikh genocide in Delhi and other parts of India that took place in 1984 is real and even more killed before the genocide attacking their most famous golden temple that killed over 30,000 more, stop trying to tarnish Sikh image, you really think after the India government attacked the golden temple any Hindus would still be alive in Punjab if sikhs hated all common Hindus?? That’s what the government actually wanted after the attack that Sikhs go bloodthirsty crazy after the attack and start killing all Hindus in Punjab to make this into Sikhs vs Hindus to call it a “Riot” instead of a “Genocide”, Sikhs didn’t start killing anyone because Sikhs know their enemy isn’t common innocent people it’s always been bad governments they’re against, even when Muslims ruled they didn’t go around killing every Muslims did they? It was always fight with the bad rulers who were killing innocent people, I’m reading many comments on here who have been misled or are just part of that group to put a divide between the two communities, if I’m wrong should be very easy to google me the proof right? Don’t try to tarnish the Sikh image because you won’t succeed because at the end truth always wins.
i myself belonging to a Sikh community would like to say that you explained the basics of religion to the people who know nothing of Sikhism perfectly. but if move to the deeper history, various factors at play, all the intrigues then the video is sure lacking a lot if we compare it with the standard of your videos on roman and byzantine empires. for instance you by mistake changed the pictures of guru hargobind with guru harkrishan. but if would have to say it was a really good video.

The sikh religion is being hijacked by thugs. Real Sikhs are cool but these hijackers are cruel and violent. Please also note that these hijackers are in Pakistan, in training camps with peaceful thugs, learning about how to attack India. There's a video on this u tube about how a particular individual screams foul language outside a Sikh temple in a Western country at an old hindu man. He is shouting swear words outside a place of worship in front of other people. This is how the sikh religion has been hijacked.
As a uk man who doesn’t strictly believe in or follow any religion, I have to say this religion has a very fair and open view on others. Kudos. Feel like that’s lacking in almost all religions 🙌🏼👌🏽

By Christianity's current defn of "God" Sikhs, whether they understand it or not would align much more closely to an Atheist -with rejection of a notion of a anthropomorphic deity

This is actually quite well done. There are some more interesting details missed at various points but overall as a superficial understanding of the history of the Sikhs from 1st to last guru in a 20 minute video - it was not bad at all.

Ill be honest i didnt click on this video (and i probably wouldnt have if there was more Roman, Greek, or Egyptian historical videos in the recommended-next video section), however, im glad i took too long to keep it from auto-playing to this. long time subscriber thanks for this one ...thanks
Why didn't Sikhs come out in support of those Hindus whose religious gatherings were bombed during Punjab insurgency by Sikhs?
Great work brother thank you very much full support

@@man58652But it has immense theological similarities to Hinduism and Islam as well highlighting their clear influence in shaping it. From the doctrine of Karma, Moksha, Rebirth, tracing the lineage of its gurus to a Hindu god, to the very word 'guru' itself; are all of Upanishadic and Vedic origin. That's why even the Ggs, attest to the existence of Hindu gods like Indra in section 2 and accepts the validity of the Vedas by saying that those pandits singing the Vedas sing of 'You'. (The supreme being)
@@hindugramsci yes i know
But for example word guru is common word in that region and guru nanak can‘t invent new words you know
Btw yes the pandits are mentioned by this but even the sufis are mentioned that they also mean "you" by saying allah for example

@@man58652The ggs validates the Vedas and Smritis as equally valid scriptures since those singing their hymns are praising the Supreme being through them according to it (section 1). I don't think it validates Quran similarly as a valid text because if it does then it would be a contradiction in ggs since while Vedas contain hymns praising multiple gods like Indra, Agni etc., whose existence is accepted by the ggs itself in section 2 btw, while Quran denies the existence of multiple deities and talks of only one Allah. So both can't be true simultaneously and I don't think the ggs would contradict itself.
