When you kill the humanoid things they break off in pretty crytals or like green goo. I liked how when you would be killing the angels in Bayo 1 & 2 the more you beat them up the more messed up they looked. The third thing is the game itself seems a bit blurry compared to Bayo 2 its actually annoying. I love everything else about the game but those are just my only grimes.
I agree. As a 3d artist I have seen this all to often where a woman character in a form fitting outfit showing her butt or breasts shape is giving this tacky add on to cover up. Bayonetta's is not as bad as a the tumblr sjws but it sure makes feel less fun. Part seems to have dumbed down the combat as well. I'm on the fence about this game.
i actually like the skirt, it's a fun new style on her and it pays an homage to cereza's design referencing her preference for dresses. it also really invokes a magical girl concept which really fits bayonetta. i do think that there could have been ways to incorporate that classic, tight-fitting silhouette that bayonetta had even wearing a skirt though, it is kind of disappointing how it isn't as mature or sexy as her previous designs. i agree though the enemies in bayonetta 3 have no charm, not only do their designs sanitize the gore key to the previous games-but their designs are just boring in general and look like generic sci-fi monsters and lack the iconic style of the angels and even the demons. i can't say i mostly appreciate the rest of the game though
@@veilego this such a good take on her skirt cause I never thought about it that way. Bayo 3 story is miles better than the bandwagon online would have people believe, and the story ending is a good mix of the emotions of 2 with the hype of 1. Not to mention the graphics are still good, it’s mostly just the coloration that feels off

@@TrueEnlightment2024 Bayo 2 is by FAR the most causal game in the series. Simplified combat, lowered difficulty, less mechanics, etc. Bayo 3 is easily on the level of the first game in terms of gameplay depth and variety if you know how to use it, possibly beyond it even In terms of story, Bayo 1 is by far the most causal and simplistic, with the story not being compelling until 2 recontextualized it. As both 2 and 3 are compelling on their own, I’d say they both win here Don’t see how the game with the best or tied for 1st best combat as well as the tied for first or 2nd best story is the most casual, but keep coping if you want mate lmao
@@aidengray4711 No, no, he does have a point. I've looked through all the games top to bottom and I do have to agree that Bayo 3 doesn't really have a good feel for it artistically speaking. The lighting in many of the scenes is that weird minty tint which sucks out a lot of the color of already pretty colorless environments, put that with the constant extreme bright screens such as the costumes only having neon colors or the new death screen and the spider explosion it really does hurt the eyes significantly. Also, I love a lot of the mechanics of the game such as the more involved demons, but the demonic Masquerades could use a little work like Madama Butterfly's being purely neon compared to the rest and not really looking like a good mix of Bayo and Madama Butterfly. The super forms of the Demons are also pretty lacking with Ghamorrah being difficult to see in darker screens, Queen Butterfly not looking like a butterfly AT ALL and more like a Wasp with weird effects on her 'wings', and Baal (I love the Siren fight, don't mistake that) being a singing Frog doesn't really fit considering we saw Baal consume others and show no signs of being a singer till Bayo 3. The game is going a bit over the top even for the Bayo series with the story being all over the place and also retconning the lore of Bayo 1 and 2 as both Bayos were originally one in one world. I really don't like Multiverse stories, they ruin current standing rules of a cultured and matured story and make it extremely chaotic, this can be seen in the very clear lack of direction in both art style and story writing. Overall, the game's mechanics and fighting styles are decent, but it truly is the weakest of them all.
@Anti-Sor0 No one is saying this is the best bayonetta game yes there is flaws within the game but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad game. There were a lot of aspects of the game that i really enjoyed like being able to control your summons, unique boss fights and regular battles, and the designs for the game imo was good especially at some points of the game it really captured your emotions. And we're not fanboys for supporting a game or liking a game because you don't doesn't mean everyone else has to as well or their considered fan boys no one is saying this is perfect.
Imo the costume design in 3 ruined her iconic silouhette with that skirt. Doesn't make sense even from a practical perspective. Hopefully There's an option to select the previous costumes.

I see they removed the game over scene. I don't know why, but even modern fighting games refuse to say to the players "you lose" when they lost, and instead they say "(insert winner npc name) win". We no longer have a scene that shows the consequence of our failure like bayonetta got dragged to hell, or continue screen in fighting games, or like in many games from ps3/xbox era that mostly showing grim fate to the main char when we failed. The silhouette in Bayonetta 3 is totally weird and doesn't suit her sleek vibe at all. They could've at least gone with a less bulky hairstyle that wouldn't interfere with the outfit as much.
The moves are tied to the equipped weapon. In Bayonetta 3 the standard set is different compared to 1 and 2. But you can acquire weapons from previous entries and the breakdance move should work then. Edit: If you equip the Scarborough Fair you can do the breakdance.
No you can't, i swear people don't even check before posting. There is no breakdance move, there's only witch twist which is not the same. Also old moves on Scarborough Fair do not return like unique air spin attack, Umbran Portal, 360 move without bullets that scattering enemies. There is 2 Umbran Crow attacks but its still busted since you can't teleport instantly just like with every Masquarade demon. Breakdance input is holding dodge, there is no input like that anymore, same with Punch/Kick after dodge its not existing now with every weapon.

One thing that I thing changes bayo 3 from 2 and 1 is the voice and summons. Helena is iconic (her voice) but I’m not saying bayo 3 voice is bad I think she actually did so good as bayo but having bayonettas British is just chefs kiss
Is it just me or is it so satisfying in bayo 3 when the verse is cleared she just snaps her fingers. To me that’s the best animation than bayo 1 and 2!
Bayonetta 3 cutscenes and face models look like a mobile game 😭 Bayonetta 2s was much better even Bayonetta 1s looks better (other than the dingy brown colors)
Only thing besides the story I hate about bayonetta 3 is the character models, like she’s built so weird in this game 😭 in the prologue when she’s walking down the street her walk animation looks so off, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a lack of motion capture in this game making some movements look a bit more stiff or cartoony compared to the predecessors, if they had kept bayo’s unrealistic proportions (E.g 7ft tall and long legs) rather than going for something more realistic(?) it would have been a lot better, I assume they needed new models for the new game mechanics or whatever but I feel that the change made the game a little bit weird
As a Bayonetta fan who actually played through and completed the entire game, I must say that Bayonetta 3 definitely lives up to 1 and 2, and then some. Platinum Games pushed the Switch to its limit trying to deliver enhanced graphics, BIGGER environments, more bombastic battles / action, etc. all while trying to keep framerates (60fps target) as high and consistent as possible without making the game feel unplayable or unenjoyable. Unfortunately, the general consumer usually has tunnel vision and simply doesn’t care about intricate details-the great effort put into Bayonetta 3 (Switch), for example. In any case, in my opinion, the story is this game’s weakest aspect, as it’s all over the place especially with the whole multiverse thing. At least Bayo 1 and 2 had some semblance of a coordinated story, but with Bayo 3, it’s almost as if anything goes at any given moment.
Was agreeing until your take on the story. The story is objectively better than 1, which needed an entire separate game to be compelling on that front. Plus it’s not that hard to keep track of, and is probably the most straightforward and understandable on a first watch of the series
For some reason bayonetta in 3 seems weaker. The fact the other two have multiple demons in their arsenal they can summon whenever. And bayo 3 has you unlocked most of the same ones from 1/2. Plus the punches feel less impactful due to lack of impact effects. Sure you can say the demon slave but bayo from the other two could control their summons for the most part already.
Bayonetta 3 is a turd. They should've held it back until new hardware released. I can't see anything it's so low res, pixelated, and zoomed out. The art design is pretty poo as well. Not sure what happened here but it sucks. 1 and 2 we're master class, this isn't unfortunately.
The zooming out issue is something all the Bayonetta games have done. They have too much visual noise and overuse the large enemies. As for low resolution and pixilated, you're exaggerating just a bit. But at the same time, it's on the Switch. What do you expect?
@@thatonetemplar Its not overraxegarrating, 400p in handheld speak for itself. Previous games both run at 720p. "The zooming out issue is something all the Bayonetta games have done" Nope, there no zooming issue in previous games, the problem was with autocorrection of the camera. "They have too much visual noise and overuse the large enemies" No they not, Bayo 2 have this problem due to very bright colours, both games have very few big enemies outside of bosses, what are you talking about?
@saaaaaaaaadasda It is not 400p in handheld lmao, what crevice of your ass did you pull that out from? And yes there is a zooming thing in all of the Bayonetta games. There has always been loads of massive enemies that they try to fit onto the screen. Like... I don't know how you're arguing with that when it is what the series is known for; over the top shit.
The first was the best . It was on all consoles and because Nintendo sponsored the last 2 games it became exclusive to the switch and the other Nintendo consoles . They kept her alive but their interpretation of her sucked . Nintendos graphics are more cartoony and they made her seem more like a super Mario character and less of a force to be reckoned with . And then they couldn’t even keep the original voice actress for the third installment . Lmao The new games suck .
As a fan of the series, I just want to point out people hated 2 when it came out as well. This trend of hate is normal. No one liked Nero in 4 until dmc remake and no one likes V in dmv5 combat wise. I don't like it, but if entitled gamers exist, it's this. People hate Viola without even trying dodge offset and at least she can still fight with her summon still out. People haven't explored enough for me to not say people are just a bit butthurt right now. There are legit reasons, but some just looks to be based on ignorance and immediate feelings.
Finally someone who gets it! All of the complaints I see for Bayo3 have been for Bayo2 before aswell! Does that make it better? No, but honestly if people think her characterization in this game is worse, the graphics are bad, the gameplay is horrid etcetc, maybe Bayonetta is no longer for you? I felt the game to be a gigantic step up as a whole after Bayo2, the story is a mess but it was an exciting ride since it hyped up so many moments and the combat is still loads of fun! Viola is hard to get used to, but she feels better to play after her rebalancing. People hate just to hate, but I gave Bayo3 a very fair and unbiased chance and the things I dislike about it seem pretty justified, verse times are insanely short, the balancing on this game unfortunately discourages going for insane fun combos, the enemy attacks range from being really good to how did that hit me? But as a whole it feels like an improvement, saving verse clears is great and encourages replays and just whaling fun combos after you get pureplats, but it does also discourage replays since, after you pureplat everything theres not much else to go back for.
I think my issue is how they added over top of her suit randomly I think they could have designed better so that way it would mesh well with the over all outfit instead on just placing over top of it it makes look a bit awkward to me I think the idea was there but fell a bit flat for me.
bayonetta 2 is far superior to bayonetta 3 because of story and graphics, let's face it, bayonetta3 has the worst ending of all
I also like that bayonetta 1 and 2 both tie into each other. You can play either one in any order with how the events are played.
Bayo 3 story is miles better than the bandwagon online would have people believe, and the story ending is a good mix of the emotions of 2 with the hype of 1. Not to mention the graphics are still good, it’s mostly just the coloration that feels off

OK I know that being at the three is a more usually used to but it all fairness it is stepping away from it what we are usually used to like angels stepping something more modern nowadays with the multiverse and that’s okay because they are trying to do there best and I liked it and sorry it didn’t leave to your standards whatever at least we got it and that just fine with me it’s not the end of the f the world

In terms of story, Bayo 1 is by far the most causal and simplistic, with the story not being compelling until 2 recontextualized it. As both 2 and 3 are compelling on their own, I’d say they both win here

The silhouette in Bayonetta 3 is totally weird and doesn't suit her sleek vibe at all. They could've at least gone with a less bulky hairstyle that wouldn't interfere with the outfit as much.
The reason her hair and whole outfit is like that is because its the baby cereza from 1 all grown up

The moves are tied to the equipped weapon. In Bayonetta 3 the standard set is different compared to 1 and 2. But you can acquire weapons from previous entries and the breakdance move should work then.
Edit: If you equip the Scarborough Fair you can do the breakdance.
It doesn't ! I've tried ..
The only good thing Bayo 3 Implemented was the cool effect when you trigger witch time perfectly and the magical aesthetic while on witch time window
You can just tell the graphical change in bayonetta 3
I still kinda miss the old bayonetta music
Why can’t I do the idle animation with Bayo 1 and Scarborough Fair and the panther appeared instead

Platinum is losing money. Babylon's Fall was a huge fail.
The zooming out issue is something all the Bayonetta games have done. They have too much visual noise and overuse the large enemies.
As for low resolution and pixilated, you're exaggerating just a bit. But at the same time, it's on the Switch. What do you expect?
