Hello! These are fantastic tips indeed! I'm experiencing a similar issue with my plant, as it only exhibits variegation on the first leaf. I've been growing it on a moss pole, eagerly anticipating variegation with each new leaf. However, after eight leaves, they all remain solid green. I would truly appreciate any updates on your progress to inspire me to consider pruning my plant as well! thanks! 😀
Thanks for showing the plants. So many videos show the person with a few leaves peeking up the bottom. I have a Florida Green that is growing like a week UP UP and UP. I think it's time to chop it to encourage 'side ways' growth. I will wait 'till Spring. Maybe.
hi there, I'm getting rid of a couple mid cuts I took and all the growth has been green :) the original plant has about 4-5 all green leaves as well as the top cut. nothing has grown in variegated!
Thank you! I got it from overstock. I’m not sure if it’s in stock or not but here’s the link! www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Large-Open-Bookshelves-Industrial-Triple-Wide-5-Tier-Bookcase/32228786/product.html
Thank you for this video. My husband treated me to a single leaf Florida Beauty for my birthday a few months ago. It looked like your first leaf. The first three leaves are all green, so I think I’ll be air layering and following your technique very soon! Good luck! Please show us an update when you can. 💚 🪴
Thank you! I ended up with 3 mid cuts and a top cut and so far the growth has come in all green :( still hoping I get variegation because some nodes haven't grown yet. The top cut still is growing green and one of the nodes on the main plant grew back green. Another node activated but no growth yet!
I hope it works to get the varigation back! It will be interesting to see what happens! It is such a nice growing plant otherwise.... see you next time...are the florida beauties still pricey?
Thank you!! I hope so too! I’m not too sure! I imagine it depends on how much variegation it has and if you get a cutting or a full plant. I imagine they’re still pretty expensive 😊
I’d like to add my support to your efforts to get the variegation back. You are definitely a plantologist extraordinaire! No doubt about it you have a lot of knowledge that you present very well in your videos and that is enhanced greatly by your excellent camera shots. Fantastic work. I recently purchased an Alocasia Polly that is off to a good start in my house. I nicknamed it pterodactyl because the leaves remind me of a pterodactyl head. Do you see that resemblance? Thanks again.
Thank you! I really love sharing and helping with what I can! Loving the new camera to get these up close shots too! Propagating is one of my favorite things to do and I love watching them grow. Haha yes!! I can totally see that! 😂🙌🏼
mine gave me 2 full green leaf should i chop it i paid alot for her lol and also got it with 2 smal lvery variegated leaf but now i got 2 green leaf u give the courage to chop it after watching this video to see if i can promote it
It’s up to you! Someone told me to wait it out because I was going to chop it after the second green one. They said that they got variegation on the 4th leaf. I waited 5 haha I wished I chopped it sooner! ☺️
I've just seen your replies to the same question! All good. I guess I thought it was a potential that the original cutting might do a variegated leaf after the all the green leaves had been removed.... Thanks for sharing your experiences. Look forward to seeing more.
Yes! I have propagated those a lot! They can be a bit stubborn to root but not all the time lol. I had pretty good success with moss but didn’t really try water for those. Don’t be surprised if they take a bit to root!
Hi, usually when I have a few inches of root growth. Sometimes I like to see secondary roots off the main ones but not always. I could have potted up the top cut into soil already but I figured I would let it root a little longer first ☺️
Hi Melissa, I just found a channel Sydney Plant Guy and he has a moss pole collection like you! His plant your vid is only 6 min...you have to watch it! Ok I screamed the whole way through....he has only been on youtube for 3weeks! Ok hope you like it!
I don't think I did an update yet - I can say I have gotten nothing but all green since I chopped it back. All of the cuts have gotten new growth and nothing variegated. I keeping hoping but it might be officially reverted :( There's still a chance down the road but will just have to wait it out!

Thank for sharing your propagation knowledge! Learn so much from you!
You’re very welcome!! ☺️
Is there any update on new growth from your propagations? Are they variegated? I just bought a gorgeous one leaf cutting and now I'm nervous...😅
Oh my, I’m was lucky to find one at my local nursery for $16 which came with 5 leaves but it wasn’t variegated but it could have still cost more.

Did you ever do an update on how these are doing and whether you got any new variegation?
I didn't film one on it yet but nothing grew back variegated. All the growth is green :(
Your video really awesome 😎

Hi! I'm in the same boat. Did it work? Did chopping the plant encourage it to make variegated leaves?
I've just seen your replies to the same question! All good. I guess I thought it was a potential that the original cutting might do a variegated leaf after the all the green leaves had been removed.... Thanks for sharing your experiences. Look forward to seeing more.
Mine didn’t grow ANYTHING variegated 😂 my stem had variegation on the main part but I guess it decided to grow green 🥲
응원합니다 굿. 구독 😊😊
Hi! Have you had any luck with propping Monstera sp. Peru? Just curious. Thinking of chopping mine, but kinda nervous. 🙂💚
Yes! I have propagated those a lot! They can be a bit stubborn to root but not all the time lol. I had pretty good success with moss but didn’t really try water for those. Don’t be surprised if they take a bit to root!
Approximately how long until you can transition the cuttings to soil?

Do you have an update?😊😊
No variegated growth has come yet :(
