I’ve had this machine for about 15 years and I love it. Just a tip when you do your cable rows there should be a pin that you put in so the leg extension arm doesn’t move on you.
How smooth are the cables? The machine looks more complicated than a typical functional trainer - are the cable smooth? I tried a different model and didn't like cause a low weights there was so much drag that the cable would have like 10 less pounds of resistance when returning as opposed to the pull
@@steverapos3904 IMO it’s extremely smooth. I know what you mean about weights under 10lbs but in my experience pro equipment does the same thing with the drag . What I did is buy a 5lb weight that sits on the stack so I can get 5lb increments instead of only 10 . Yes it’s complicated and will take a few days to assemble but I think it’s worth it. I researched several other machines and this does a ton of exercises for the footprint it takes up . I did not get the leg press because at the time of purchase I was much younger and it wasn’t enough weight for me. I love it and recommend it. If you have follow up questions please ask . Good luck 🍀
@@drgenejames Haha. I made this for myself so I don’t have to keep scrolling every time I need to see it. Thank you for this video tho. It’s a big help with learning the exercises. You’re a legend sir!

If you still have this. Could you please show the 1:2 leveage stuff where you can get more weight on in bench press? "The resistance for the chest press provided by the weight block can easily be doubled by simply connecting two cables to the dual cable pulls for a maximum resistance of 180 kg!"
My stepdad bought this machine a few years back and never complained. However for me, standing at 6’4, some exercises can be difficult. For example the shoulder exercises are hard for me because I can’t fit in the middle without bending my neck.
Love all these videos- thanks so much! Had a question- i have never used one of these machines - what does the weight stack equate to in real weight? I know with functional trainers generally they have a 2 to one ratio so for instance 100 pounds on the stack is equivalent to 50 pounds of resistance- is it the same with these machines?
I don’t know what the ratio is. I count it as simply resistance. Each plate increases the resistance and that’s what you ultimately want. That’s what makes your body respond. Just keep getting stronger my friend.
Thanks for the Video. I am looking for BodCraft Elite / Xpress and Body solid Fusion 600 / Body Solid G5S. Which one would you choose and why ? Thanks a lot
Hands-down the bodycraft elite express. It combines the features of the other two and in addition it offers a seated leg curl which the others do not have. It is your best bet among the three, guaranteed.

I rate it a 4. I like it better than the Odyssey 5 gym by TuffStuff. Even though Odyssey 5 outsells this gym I do like the pivot arms and the versatility that it gives you. It’s smooth and feels good with all of the exercises but comparing this gym to all of the others of its type I will give it a four.
Are the weights enough so that you can still increase? I am a beginner and am considering to get the Xpress Pro but am afraid that after a certain time I will not be able to increase myself because the weight block is too small. Greetings from Germany
Good demo. You gave me a few new positions. I have same unit. Leave pin in on seated row.👍
You're absolutely right. I forgot to do this on the demo. Thanks

I've had mine since 2007. This is a solid machine that covers everything. No need for a gym membership. You showed me a few more exercises. Thanks.

Yes, they are made for shorter guys

One of the weight blocks equals 4.5kg so do the math and you know What you’re pressing
They have an option for the bench press to actually double up to 400 pounds of weight when set for 200 pounds when you attach the cables to it.

The Bodycraft Express over the Elite model
I had this machine for almost 7 years now . Although the cables are getting worn . Is there any website out there that sells the cables itself ?
You can’t buy them, the gym is too old. You have to make them yourself
@@drgenejames you can ! on a UK retailer u can anyway has the cables for this exact model + other cable related parts, theyre about £30 each

It should be OK unless you’re going into really heavy powerlifting or intense high-level bodybuilding.

@@mkay6115 yes, it’s a great gym.
