    Holy Shit. I didn't think of creating a literal library of pre-made painted assets to reuse in future pieces. like Set and prop building, or 3D asset libraries!
    This is actually genius... I need to start building a library ASAP. This might actually be the most valuable thing I've learned in half a year.

    I was thinking about this the other day.. Fundamentally, there's two kinds of artists. 1) Boobies and butts artists, and 2) pecs and abs artists. I wonder where it starts? Perhaps when playing with blocks and shape sorters as toddlers. Those who prefer the circles become butt and boobie artists, those who prefer the squares become pec and ab artists... Are the triangle lovers the rock painters?

    8:00 why not use a clipping mask? hold option/alt between layers to create a clipping mask.

    • @An.Unsought.Thought
      @An.Unsought.Thought 2 роки тому +1

      Because he is adding multiple layers to get multiple blend modes. Clipping mask is fine for some stuff (like blending two layers in a non-destructive way) but when you want to add multiple blend modes, like multiply or overlay.. maybe a color burn too... It's just quicker to do this because you can easily click on the layer you want to paint rather than constantly going back and changing your brush blend mode.. plus you can soft erase on one layer without it effecting the other layers blend modes.

    • @mudbutt234
      @mudbutt234 2 роки тому

      @@An.Unsought.Thought You can change the layer blend mode and add a mask to the individual layers. meh, doesn't matter. everyone has their own process and approach. its all good

      I never really got comfortable with that workflow. It feels restrictive to me. But I know it's very valuable for many artists to do it that way.
