I'm going to have to ask you, if you could put a spacer on the XRS chassis, then why not on the GRS? Is it the overall fit and feel of the MDT chassis or the ergonomics of the pad area? Bit being a hardass about it, just wanting to know. I understand about making it fit you for sure. Shoot a browning 725 pro sport for trap, continental, 5 stand, and sporting clays. It just didn't fit right. So added a fully adjustable rear plate except in and out. Had to use 1/2" polypropylene and make a spacer plus a thicker recoil pad. Could use a little bit more length tho.
With my GRS Beserk stock I made up a longer thread and rods to increase the length of pull. With my GRS Bifrost the adjustment rods are plastic U channels, so I couldn't make up new ones, but I guess I could have fabricated a spacer, GRS actually do a 1 inch limbsaver pad.... From an ergonomic point of view the GRS is more comfortable because it is designed around your hands, and in some way because it is flexible. The MDT XRS is just rock solid and you feel everything.
Not a big issue being "English ", and using metric. When repairing stripped holes in carburetors and the such, I use metric a lot. So many more sizes, pitch, and availability.
um question does that fit into the space of your elbow while holding the grip?? seems long. and the scope is very far back why is it so far back? it should be foreward more!
It is setup with a 15" pull - I have long arms, and yes, when my finger is on the trigger and hand on the grip the chassis still fits the inside of my forearm. The scope is a thermal so your eye is right up against the rubber shroud. Effectively I've set the rifle up for myself and how I like it...

Thank you. That was great information. Might just have to try both like you did to decide which works best for each venue.

Totally agree - I know in my sets of taps I've got 4 different thread pitches for one size...
