Grunge brush sells an all aluminum version brush and the bristles are replaceable. Highly recommended it over the plastic ones. Also look into belray chain lube. Its more of a wax that doesnt attract as much grime

nah this motul chain cleaning kit is nice. Only thing is the lube overspray might be slick on tires because it adheres so damn well. I can tell if my chain is lubed still by the tacky feel when i touch my fingers tips on it. He has a solid spray method that would prevent this though

I had my tubes hanging down exactly like yours do. You can push them up into the bike some to get rid of them or you can cut off a couple inches from the bottom without messing up anything on the bike.

Pal save yourself a buck, get a can of brake clean it doesn’t damage the O-rings it’s been tested. If you read the instructions on the Motul chain lube, it should only be applied to the internal rollers. I daily a cbr-1000 and you’ll find if you apply lube as seen in the video you’ll attract lots of gunk into your chain. Rock on 🤙🏽

I would not use any water on your chain like that or down in the wheel bearings unless you're using compressed air to dry. It can get inside the O-rings and bearings. The Motul cleaning kit is awesome stuff. Use chain cleaner, scrub it, wipe off with rag and then lube. Done
Lube EVERY ride with Fluid Film or an off road chain lube. A bit messy around front sprocket, but won't get the guck buildup and won't need cleaning. Penetrates and lubricates, chains last 40 thousand km on ZX-10.
I let the brush into a plastic ice cream case, that is filled with a mix of APC with water. Or… I spray with brake cleaner on it when I want to… I am not sure these are the best ways, if anyone has a better idea let me know.

water is poison for your chain…. and that is exactly why you lubricate a chain to keep water away from the O/X-rings in the chain, so that no water can penetrate there and wash out the internal lubrication... And of course also against rust and for a smooth running

This is the most backwards procedure I’ve ever seen. We spray and brush at the same time to remove gunk and then a quick spray for rinsing. Or just dip a brush in kerosene and brush on it and then spray kerosene to rinse and wipe it off. Or use brake cleaner and wipe the chain section down with a cloth. But you however sprayed a shit loads of chain cleaner and when the solvent already evaporated off, only then you starts brushing on a dry chain. Like wtf? What is that plastic bristle is going to do on a already dried up chain? Might as well just get a bucket of soap and brush it all and wash it off with water since the beginning than waste half a can of chain cleaner and gain nothing from it. Not to mention the half of can of chain lube 😂 you should have buy a 5L jug of 80w-90 gear oil and just dump it all on the chain, pour it on your motorcycle, gas tank, radiator, tires, brake disc too for maximum lubrication.
Kerosene will remove the internal grease behind the o rings. Would not reccomend. General degreaser is the cheapest best way to clean it in my opinion.
@@nathanhampf5400 kero does a great job, doesn't damage the O rings, it's cheaper, & I spray lube after I've cleaned the chain. I also have a Scottoiler system that oils my chain as I ride. Works off engine vacuum & has a control regulator for the drip feed oiler. Google search it, definitely recommend it.

Use hot water and dip the brush inside for sometime. Or use Tarpin or kerosene oil to clean.
