    I always let my candles cure for 3 weeks minimum. The longer the cure, the better the HT and CT. Thanks for the video.

    New candle maker…… I really appreciate you sharing your video and experience with candle making. You are right, most UA-camrs want to keep a lids on CT/HT secrets or want to charge for information. I figured most would be common sense or findable though research…. Learning do’s and don’t’s from established pro candle makers. Just appreciate the information 😊

    What great news! Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with me, is that I am having a difficult time with the finishing of my candles, I always get the rough finish on top, I am using the 464, and the fragrance from candle science, thank you again

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  9 місяців тому

      Thank you and you are very welcome. Unfortunately that is one of the downsides of 464... just make sure you are pouring at the recommended pour temp... and after they cool you may need to use a heat gun to smooth the tops. Honestly that's one of the reasons why I switched to coconut soy C6

    Thank you for reminding me in another video to heat the jars. I like you am using same wax and clear jars. Wax adhesion is very important to me. I have been nearly 100% since implementing your suggestion to heat my jars. I also put them in an aluminum foil tray with lid to further slow down the cooling process. Thanks!

    I love this. I use GW464 when reading reviews would the coconut soy wax be the same? Like if you posted a review would I be able to go by that review although my wax isn't the coconut wax or should I look for only soy wax specific reviews? (hope that made sense lol)

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  11 місяців тому

      Yes... your comment makes perfect sense...LOL. GW464 is a Soy wax with a soy based additive and is not the same as Coconut Soy. Check my videos, I have a review of the Coconut Soy wax that I use. Hope this was helpful.

    Does using a hand blender to stir mess with the fragrance

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  11 місяців тому

      I don’t think I can advise you to use a hand lender , due to the fact it would create bubbles. Perhaps it’s better to stick with a slow stir by hand. 👍🏼😊

    What is the difference between using fragrance oil and essential oils for making candles??

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  5 місяців тому

      Essential oils are all natural and don't contain any synthetic components. Fragrance Oils contain some synthetic components, but can also contain essential oils.

    My candle has no throw. I use the Apricot creme from makes. I don't get 🎉a full melt pool it only burns in the middle and the sides isn't melting. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My fragrances comes Candle science. I want to start making candles but it's becoming very frustrating not to do it.

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  Рік тому +2

      Go to candlescience.com and check your wick size… make sure you burn 1 hour for every inch of width .. then try one of the fragrances I mentioned in the video. Let me know how it goes. 👍🏼❤️

    Hi and thank you for this video! So, I make candles as a hobby. There’s a few scents that I’m playing with that say for instance if I use a CDN-3 the candle tunnels but the HT is amazing. If I wick up to a CDN-4 the candle no longer tunnels but the HT is gone. Have you experienced this?

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  Рік тому +2

      You are very welcome ❤️. Yes, I have experienced this before. If the width of your candle jar allows… I double wick using a smaller size wick.

    • @MisterWhatWhat
      @MisterWhatWhat Рік тому

      I wish I could for this vessel. It’s a Nova vessel from Dream Vessels. I am beating myself up over it LOL 😂 candle making is truly a science. I’ve lowered the FO% to 3% and increased it up to 10% and still the same results.

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  Рік тому

      @@MisterWhatWhat Have you tried a different type of Wick? Have you checked what wick is recommended … you can check the wick guide on candlescience.com. And did you allow the candle to burn the first time it was lit… for at least 2-4 hours?

    • @MisterWhatWhat
      @MisterWhatWhat Рік тому

      @@wilcandles Oh yeah all of my candles cure for a minimum of 3-weeks. I use No. 7 wax from 16/17, they recommend CDN wicks because they burn cooler. I’ve dabbled with CD, ECO, LCS, LX, HPSP, and HTP wicks with these scents and it is driving me crazy. I believe I’m at the point of just tossing these scents. I’m the type of person that likes to fix things and it can be a curse and a blessing at the same time.

    • @wilcandles
      @wilcandles  Рік тому

      @@MisterWhatWhat Hmm... changing fragrances is def an option. One last thing.. see if you can find someone on UA-cam using the same fragrance in a similar candle vessel ... and hopefully they mention what wick they are using. Good Luck... keep me posted.
