When you doing these videos do you do your take while watching the film? Or do you just have a script after the fact and just do an infinite amount of takes till they all hit. Also would love to see more puppet master for sure.
Just rewatched the first "Friday the 13th" killcount. They have really grown in a big way from those times. It really was just a quick summary of the plot and the kills, which pales in comparison to the more recent ones where we're bombarded with tons of interesting facts and anecdotes about their production that give so much life to these new videos.
More more more please. 80s and 90s horror are what made me find and fall in love with this channel. I wish people didn’t just ignore a kill count because it’s an “old” movie. They are missing out on the golden age of horror

speaking of Lucio Fulci, i hope he covers one of those films one day, Zombie(1979), City of the Living Dead(1980) or The Best one in Fulci's Gates of Trilogy, The Beyond(1981)
Hearing James be this passionate about a franchise, knowing how he dreads doing them due to how long it would take him is refreshing. I hope we give good feedback to this one to encourage the rest of them to be covered by him, he clearly loves this franchise.
These movies got so absurd so fast, and it's honestly a bit jarring how slow this one is by comparison. But I still think it's a great time, and a great start to this insane series. The puppetry and stop motion is especially impressive.
"As Frank tunnels into Carissa, tunneler enters the room" has to be the most Zoran line that's ever existed and I shall carry it with me till the end of time.

Never expected to see something so great here as a Kill Count. It’s such a masterpiece along with the rest of the franchise. Plus, Blade is my favorite character. He and his allies can be seen as either heroes or villains.
You don’t know how much we’ve wanted this since the demonic toys kill count. Highly underrated franchise, you gotta love how weird and quirky the puppet designs are.

Puppetmaster was also one of my first horror movies as a kid. Here in Brazil, you'd watch it on many afternoon sessions through the years - mostly, around 3pm on a specific TV channel. I think its actually great it took so long for the James to cover Puppet Master because the channel has grown in its style and delivery of content~ This probably is the golden era of Dead Meat!
Agreed on the golden era part, maybe the jokes aren’t as good but everything else is the best it’s ever been Now if only it was the golden era in terms of views
Just a point about the special effects, the first Child's Play had over 15x the budget that the first Puppet Master had. I think the effects, especially 2-5, are actually solid when you take the budget into account
It probably helps none of the puppets need to talk or emote(aside from jester), so they just needed to focus on movement and not trying to make them talk convincingly like chucky
Oh bro I can't wait for 3, it's both the best and the funniest. The entire idea of leech woman is so funny all the other puppets have to set her up and help her out to even use her power.
I will definitely encourage you to cover the whole series. There's something fun about going through an entire long series of films... it's like a rollercoaster, there's highs, there's lows, there's tepid little flat parts, and that's kinda the fun. You can enjoy the good and snark the bad.

Yep. And "difficult to work with" is being polite when it comes to Klaus Kinski. Bluntly speaking, he was a complete LUNATIC to work with. And Schmoeller did NOT have one easy bit of time with him.

We've been waiting for this for so long. Please do them all. Even the Axis trilogy. Even if you do them in batches rather than all at once
Normally I don't get down with puppets, but James' contagious enthusiasm is making me give this one a try :) Hope this does well! (Not so James has to do the thousand sequels lmao, but because James is sharing a film with us that he clearly values)
YES! FINALLY! This is my wife's favorite horror series. It's how I got hooked on Full Moon Entertainment.
So I just watched the first 3 movies and they were amazing, I’m also so in love with all the puppets designs and they backstory about them
3:43 that little wave killed me 😂
I love it when James talks about movies that he loves. You can tell how exited he is.
I'm honestly loving how much they're going into the numbers and just adding that additional statistical look at other movies that compare counts and spreads on kills.
Yeah! Puppet Master! So much nostalgia, this was an introduction into movie monsters that were not necessarily “evil”, thanks for covering this part of my childhood!
“And just this guy who’s in one scene” the funniest line of heard from James
Watched the first puppet master today for the first time and immediately started watching the second one. Yea, I hope James decides to cover this series
I never thought I see the day where James would cover another Long Franchise
I wonder if he’ll do the first four 4 Sequels like with Hellraiser
I love how maddening and over complicated the lore becomes over this series. It almost reaches FNAF levels of absurdity with its retcons.
Also the ending of the movie is quite similar to the ending of the fnaf movie
Finally!! I’ve been waiting so long for this kill count!! 🎉
This is the Kill COunt I've been waiting for since I was 7 years old. Respect James. I really hope that this video reaches the bar to justify its continuation.
Oh my god yes!!!! It’s literally midnight where I am and I’m staying up to watch this! Puppet master is one of my favorite horror movies!
Almost 1M! Seems lots of us DM fans hoping for more in the series.
Holy crap - the Klaus Kinski thing explains why I could never put my finger on why the puppet looked familiar. Can't wait to see James cover the sequels for this one!
Yep. And "difficult to work with" is being polite when it comes to Klaus Kinski.
Bluntly speaking, he was a complete LUNATIC to work with.
And Schmoeller did NOT have one easy bit of time with him.
