Someone working on Demonic Toys was a big Doom Patrol nerd. The imagery of the three little kids in gas masks on tricycles is straight out of Issue 31 of Grant Morrison's run.

When it comes to "best-written Full Moon movies" I have a real soft spot for the flicks written by Neal Marshall Stevens. He really leans into the schlock while still managing to write a cohesive narrative with fun characters. Head of the Family is an all-time favorite of mine, but a lot of what he'd written around the same time, like Hideous! and The Creeps, are also a great time.

Seeing the Demonic Toys vs Puppet Master clips and learning it was made by Sci Fi makes so much sense. The coloring is like sub-Standard Dynamic Range, somehow jpeg compressed, and the depth of field is uncanny the entire time. It’s like they took the exact camera from How It’s Made and made a movie. Edit: Science Channel and Sci Fi are two different channels, but my point still stands.
