I started investing with fundrise about 4 months ago can’t complain it’s been great investing with them. I really thank you for your great presentation, by the way I would love if you can do a new video about fundrise, thanks and god bless you.
Started today, once I make some consistent money in day trading futures i’ll bring more in on fundrise and stocks. We’ll see how it goes, it’ll be interesting.
Great Video and thank you because I was just thinking about switching to a different Crowdfunding real estate app like Landa but I regained my Faith and will give my money time
REIT distributions are not qualified so investing for "passive income" in REIT in a taxable account seems like a big waste of tax dollars but I'm more of a total return kind of guy
Fundrise does have an IRA option to hold in a tax advantaged account. But I believe that’s correct - there are more tax efficient strategies if your situation and goals differ.
My big question the entire time was - How are you able to cash out? And just as I thought, they make it as arduous and well-hidden as possible. For that reason I do not, nor will I, trust these types of investments. I hope everyone who opts in does well, but I'm not willing to risk what little I have when my money is not readily available.
Yes, I’d definitely consider it a long term hold and stay away if you anticipate needing near-term liquidity. On the plus side, my recent cash out request was honored without issue.
I have hearing loss and really tried to understand your video. But the music was really too loud and you voice was often over powered by the music. Best to you and thanks for attempting to inform me. But I just could not compete with your low voice and loud museic.
I've had a small amount in it and pays almost no dividends and the value of the account went down 11%. Although publicly traded REITs went down 20% or more.
Ive been invested in their Flagship fund and it has done poorly. Fortunately I am highly diversified and its a small part of my portfolio. Account value went down 11%. Pays almost no dividends.
the cashout process does seem jank. have you withdrawn any money from them? what was your experience like despite their disclaimers of suspension, wait periods, etc?
So far the only withdrawals I’ve made have been the quarterly dividends, since I’ve been trying to grow the account. But I can test a small withdrawal to see how the process goes.
UPDATE: I made my withdrawal request in mid-August, and in early October, got a note that it was approved and processed. In total, it was around 50 days, but I think it was maybe a little faster because it coincided with the end of the calendar quarter.
People be careful! He said they are paying him. One person commented that he is losing money! If we all in the same investment, why is he losing and you winning? Oh you getting paid!

Per the SEC, Fundrise paid a $250k penalty related to their 2016-2021 marketing efforts. SEC Charges Fundrise Advisors, LLC for Paying Content Creators to Solicit Clients in Violation of the Cash Solicitation Rule ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEEDING File No. 3-21571 August 22, 2023 - The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settled charges against Washington, D.C.-based investment adviser Fundrise Advisors, LLC arising from the firm’s solicitation arrangements with online content creators. According to the SEC’s order, from February 2016 through December 2021, Fundrise made cash payments to over 200 social media influencers and publishers of online newsletters to solicit clients for Fundrise. The order finds that Fundrise did not require the solicitors to provide clients with certain disclosures required by the rules governing cash solicitation payments in effect at that time: specifically, Fundrise’s brochure and a separate written disclosure document describing the solicitor’s relationship with Fundrise and the terms of the compensation agreement. Fundrise consented to the entry of the SEC’s order finding that the firm willfully violated the compliance and former cash solicitation provisions of Section 206(4) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Rules 206(4)-3 and 206(4)-7 thereunder. Without admitting or denying the findings, Fundrise agreed to a cease-and-desist order, a censure, and a $250,000 civil penalty to settle the charges.
I have also lost with Fundrise. Started with a net contribution of $1,010 in July 2022 and have a net loss of $99.44 as of August 2023. Started with $1k as a test for this company and will not invest more funds.
@@TheBlairWitch this is the worst time to invest, you invested when the real estate market went down. As a matter of fact July 2022 was when the stock market went down compared to the surrounding years.
Yes, however there are two stipulations. 1. It takes time, from what I've seen they only pay you out once a quarter 2. There's fees, for sure you'll be taxed on it and I believe the app has a fee as well.
Its not traded on an exchange so the only way out is through "redemption", where you sell your share back to fundrise. And they will decide when/if to buy it back. So you are at their mercy. So, if you invest, be aware it may be a long time to cash out, there may be fees involved, etc.
Like I said, I didn’t get paid to make the video, but Fundrise does pay me for referring new investors. So yes, even though I’m sharing my actual account and results as a Fundrise investor since 2015, make sure to do your own due diligence. If it’s not a fit for you and your goals, no hard feelings! It’s definitely not for everyone. 👍

Hey Question, should I distribute dividends into my bank account or reinvest them?
Up to you! For what it’s worth, I’ve always had mine sent to my bank account.
The dividend percentage looks very low. I would like to knowbout the dividend growth rate.
I’m not sure about the dividend growth rate. Yields have fallen since 2015, but are in included in that 10% lifetime performance figure.
REIT distributions are not qualified so investing for "passive income" in REIT in a taxable account seems like a big waste of tax dollars but I'm more of a total return kind of guy

I wish it paid dividends monthly.
Alas, only quarterly :)

What if you want to use your dividends as a paycheck? Are you forced to reinvest dividends?
No, you can have them sent directly to your bank account.

New here, thinking about getting into Fundrise. In your opinion is it safe? And is it great for future money appreciation?
I've had a small amount in it and pays almost no dividends and the value of the account went down 11%. Although publicly traded REITs went down 20% or more.
@@jameskeefe1761It’s kind of expected in this market though. The money is long term.
I have REITs in my M1 Finance portfolio 🤑
Me too. Well, Fidelity in my case, but yeah. Fundrise is like a less volatile version of those publicly-traded REITs.
Did you ever visit the properties in person?
I never have, or at least not knowingly. That’s part of the appeal, being completely hands-off.
Ive been invested in their Flagship fund and it has done poorly. Fortunately I am highly diversified and its a small part of my portfolio. Account value went down 11%. Pays almost no dividends.

Yes

Consistent contributions plus a strong real estate market.
He contributed more than 100K, you notice it in the stepwise increments of the growth graph
Just tell us how much you made vs how much you invested. And over how long of a period. Thats all we want to know
