    This is the 7th year I've reviewed my initial $1,000 investment to see what investing with Fundrise is like. Despite its ease and accessibility, this year has shown the lowest returns. I'll walk you through the current user interface changes, my account's performance, and what you might expect if you choose to invest. This isn't just about the good; it's a real look at the potential lows as well. Whether you're new to Fundrise or considering it, this video will give you an honest insight into passive real estate investing.

    A lot of people in the comments are complaining that they’re not getting rich off of this and then they go ahead and say they’ve got like 5 or 10 grand invested. You’re not going to get any return for that amount. If you want good returns for investing in real estate, you have to put in the same money as if you owned 2 or 3 houses. And fundrise hasn’t been around that long and the time they have been around they have seen a pandemic, a housing boom, and reduction of home values. Invest 2,000,000 and keep it there for 20 years and you’ll see some respectable returns! Or invest $500 a month without stopping. If you people want real estate returns you gotta put in real estate money.

      ….if Fundrise can’t deliver respectable returns on $10K for me at 7 years, why do you believe they would if I invested $100k? For me and many others, the low dollar investment was a trial run- which the helped us realize Fundrise is just a ponzy scheme with bot reviews propping them up.

      @@Wi2Low for me it’s really bad. Factor in inflation and I lost money. I underperformed a savings account. Not worth the time for 5 years just to receive nothing for it. I was 50/50 Flagship fund and Income fund. The income fund did 7.1%, but was dragged down by the Flagship fund which was nothing but negative. I cashed out at this most recent redemption window this past week

    Biggest lesson i learnt in 2023 in the stock market is that nobody knows what is going to happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long term edge.

    Your cumulative return is much better. Mine is 5.7%, I started in 2021. Its a sham. Diversify, my foot. Treasury bills would have given a better return. Im withdrawing. It was my stupidity to invest in it

      If this is your take… yes don’t invest on this. This is supposed to be highly risky and you should have a diversified portfolio that includes bonds.

    I'm averaging just under 8% annualized returns (before taxes) with the income funds . Nice way to diversify away from the stock market.

    People complaining about a stable conservative 5% return in real estate is crazy. Crypto ruined everyones expectation. Fundrise invests conservatively, so conservative returns. If you want better gain, it means to put in more money..

    After 4 years in Fundrise, I have seen a 5% decline on my $10000 investment. Overall, it's rather meh. I like the idea, but it's just too slow and too little. I attribute the 5% decline obviously to 2023/2024 in which the market sucked, but even before then, the gains were not really seeing they'd be worth it. I'll just take out later and invest in something a bit more steady, even if just as slow.

      I’m at 4.6-4.9 decline! Depends on the month I’ve been in since 2020. I stopped because I buy property myself and I was getting way better returns. I invested because it was 100 %passive I have around only $3,000 but that was early on. The returns didn’t make since so I stopped but just let it sit. Still isn’t doing anything

    Can this be considered digital real estate? I’m sold to this idea knowing I don’t need to travel out there and look for property investments

    • @Retipster
      @Retipster  3 місяці тому +2

      Perhaps. It depends how you define 'digital.' Arguably, I would call it _actual_ real estate, but fractionally owned through a REIT fund.

    • @rahmaximus8736
      @rahmaximus8736 Місяць тому

      I don't think so. I think digital real estate is more about creating a place on the web where lots of people will spend time and money

    I dont understand how he still had money in his account if he withdrew the money ? Can someone please explain 🙏🏾

    • @Retipster
      @Retipster  29 днів тому +1

      The money you see in that account are the dividends automatically re-invested each quarter, which I never withdrew. If I had withdrawn my dividends each quarter, I would've had $0 available after I withdrew my principal in year 5.

    people here complaining of a 5% return… the first thing you should do is to not only put money once but also buy all the way down and up. It is not a good strategy to just buy a lump sum and wait. Put a lump sum AND keep investing AND if you don’t have time for fundamental analysis diversify.
