Would love to see a bit more in-depth comparison between Fundrise vs typical REITS offered via Vanguard or Schwab, etc. (similar to other offering 8% or higher) Potential appreciation plus Qualified dividend tax benefits and may be more liquid than Fundrise. I have Fundrise myself and it does pay what is to be an anticipated 8.5% this year. I also have my brokerage account as well. Would love to see YOUR comparison Marko. I'm curious. =)

Hi Great video, with regard to your comment about taxes on the divide paid if you use the reinvestment option are the divide that are reinvested taxed?
My biggest loss ever as an investor was in a oil company REIT. They filed bankruptcy and I got nothing. Never again. And the tax paperwork was insane, I had to fill out forms my accountant couldn't even understand. It did pay great dividends for awhile, but the bottom fell out very quickly. Of course it wasn't as diversified as this, and it was more liquid like a stock. It was a stock, in a company that invested in real estate. Ok, I got in over my head...lol...i bought on advise from someone who I valued their opinion more than I should have. When it fell, I doubled down, and I've been in the house of pain ever since.
I like your videos but had a comment about what you said about minimalists. I don’t necessarily describe myself as a minimalist but probably something more of a practical or realistic minimalists/ consumer. The term minimalists can have the extremists but in general I find it mostly refers to realistic financial purchases, which means living within your means. If your making minimum wage you don’t need/shouldn’t be driving a Porsche like the guy making 100g+. Even if you could still some how afford the Porsche that unrealistic amount of your income should have been used to buy/pay mortgage or investments. We all want and need everything now, and with easy and low financing we can all rent the things we believe that we own.

Of course it wasn't as diversified as this, and it was more liquid like a stock. It was a stock, in a company that invested in real estate. Ok, I got in over my head...lol...i bought on advise from someone who I valued their opinion more than I should have. When it fell, I doubled down, and I've been in the house of pain ever since.
very risky boom and bust industry
The Watson Apartments are about 20 minutes from where I live. That’s cool lol
Same. And I've toured inside.
Fundrise can add additional fees later that can add upto 2-3%, not just 1%, according to my research.
I just opened my account today, and with the downturn of everything. How are your investments looking? A Quarterly review?
