I cannot thank you enough for making this how to video! I teach high school forensics and I have the students recreate various blood spatter patterns and I am always looking for new videos that show different techniques they can use. I provide the supplies but they have to already know what they are going to do. I am adding this to the list of videos I share with them. Also, thank you for saying spatter. :)
I tried some of these while painting blood on my guitar, brush fling worked the best for me. Sadly the toothbrush that I also tried using has soft bristles so it didn't work that well, but I managed! Thanks for the tips
Thank you so much! I just used the spay technique for my Halloween costume- early ik but I rlly want to be prepared! I’m going for an all of us are dead infected student + sweatpants Cos the skirt on the uniform was short. Worked well on the sweatpants and shirt~ and on the plus side my textiles teacher was more than happy to let me use the classroom for my prep!
Exactly what I was looking for! I'm wanting to create a heavy metal kutte with bloody fabric paint splatters, and seeing how to do the different effects is a massive help, especially the splatter guard set up xD awesome tutorial, thanks for making and sharing
Yo im gonna have to try the duster one. Normally i just use a tap/flinger method where i hold a paint stick in one hand a tap the paintbrush on to it flinging the splatter. Awesome video thanks for the tips.
Hey. I loved these techniques. I never knew about these besides the flinger and the spray bottle one. Love it. Also I have a question. When is the next Fan Mail video? I sent you another fan mail like the last month or two ago. I'm sure you received it.
I came about finding your video for blood splatter, because I needed it for painting miniatures… I’m finding the toothbrush method very satisfying. However, I’m also realizing that if automated weapon switch is a buzz saw is being used, I need to put something of similar mass behind, the weapon, to count for the weapon being between the miniature and the victim; if that makes sense… Thank you very much for this tutorial!
The air technique I’ve actually thought of for years now but I’ve never been allowed because I keep wanting to use the air compressor or chuck it into a fan
Cool tips, dude. Think I'm going to have to try the flinger and the spritzer. I reckon loading up a super-soaker would be an extremely cool, fun technique too.
I've only used the flinger one but I make the paint really waterery before flinging it on my masks or costumes but I'll have to try a couple others you demonstrated
Maybe add more water to thin it out a bit? It might be too thick of paint still. After you're done you can try sticking the sprayer hose in water or paint thinner and then spray a whole bunch to clean everything out.
Bro, your video helped me out big time. I'm going to perform Michael Jackson's Thriller tomorrow at a Halloween party with other people as zombie and I really wanted my white shirt to have some good looking blood spatters and also stains. I first tried the fake blood sprays from the stores, at first looks great, then turns pink when it dries up. Good old red paint with some water and the results are great! And the different methods of using the spray work great too.
Thanks for doing this. Have used the toothbrush in the past but was looking for something more like the drip syringe. Thanks for the idea, I'll give it a go...
"Hey, Big Hush. My name is Logan Monroe, and I'm a really big fan of your awesome UA-cam channel on tutorial videos on hockey masks of Jason Voorhees."
My one issue with the spray bottle technique is that it can be hit or miss,I got 4 bottles and they all spray in awkward positions such as one spraying like and upside down heart one like a tadpole

That's awesome! Sounds like a fun project for the students. Thank you so much for sharing my video!

Very cool. I've used the flinger technique but I think I like the toothbrush method better.
You should use those canvases as your Friday giveaways.

I've also used the Straw technique in a few videos, but I didn't think to include it here.
Just ordered a blank mask from your Etsy. In the process of making my own part 5 Roy burns mask.
Thanks for making this video. It helped me figure out what tools to use for an art project!

When I made a blood splat on my controller I used spray pant and I sprayed my glove and flicked it onto it. I’ll have to try these out next!
Nice! I've used acrylic paint on my fingers and flicked as well.
When I do the spritz one the bottle seems to clog up in the tube.Any idea how to stop that?

Nice idea for a video Big Hush 👍🏻 Where did you get the Jason figure that's lurking in the background? Don't think I've seen that before anywhere
Could you use those effects for film projects?

"Hey, Big Hush.

That spritz one is the one for sure! But all of em were really good. Thanks for the vid!

The spitter is my favorite. Always great to get a mouth full of fake blood and spit out into your choosing.
