Here's a nice challenge for you... ask an Indian friend to help you pick out a ripe jackfruit. Cut it open yourself and eat it. It's so hard I do it only about once a year 🤣. The fruit is tasty! But it's such a pain to cut. The fruit has to be ripe, otherwise, you will hate the whole experience. The "fake meat" ones are unripe jackfruit. We use those also, but it's a whole different beast.

People from North Karnataka, you know what it is. Now you see even Americans find it confusing. The last thing on stick, It's called Chigli in kannada language. It got tamarind, sesame seeds, molasses, pepper, and a fruit called Jamun or Nerale which is a tropical dark violet fruit. It's healthy for toddlers for some reason which i don't recall.

Try the regular food like regular Ghee Tawa Roti with Some sabzi like Aalu Methi, Shimla Mirch Aalu, Liquid Aalu Tamatar Sabzi, Baingan ka Bharta, and diff types of daal, khichdi, rajma chawal, kadhi chawal and the list goes on
