These are gorgeous Annette! I’ve never used tea bags, so I’m going to start saving them now. Your junk journal is stunning, and you’re not even finished it yet. Thanks for a great time watching you experiment. That’s what it’s all about. ❤
Thank you so much! I hope you DO give them a try and play around with your own ideas. I'm already dreaming of making a Christmas junk journal. Now to find the time...(sigh)
Awesome tips again, and your journal is amazing. Thank you. 😀
Thanks so very much!
I love them all, even the wrinkly one! My favorite is the one with the photo. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks so very much! That's nice to hear. Thank you for being here and watching.
What a fun video, Annette!!! Enjoyed this so very much. Thank you and take care!
Thanks Carole! So happy to hear that. See you next week!
You always have such good ideas, but great... now I have to start saving my teabags! Thanks, I think!!!
Thanks so much! I would recommend rinsing and emptying the tea bags after you've brewed. I tried letting them dry first and emptying them after and they were soggy for days and harder to clean.
I actually like the wrinkling on the page in your book. I like how these turned out.
Thanks, so do some other viewers, so now I don't feel so badly about it. Thanks for watching!
@@AnnetteGreen you're welcome 😊
Great tutorial Annette - your pages are wonderful - I love how you used the tea bags - thank you!!!
Thanks so much Cheryl!
I had saved tea bags from a while ago and didn’t really do anything with them. Now I have a lot of ideas!:) Thank you, Carleen:)
That's great Carleen! I hope you do try some of these out with your tea bags.
Tjanx again Really nice as always. Love the new technique. I'm always looking for junk journal ideas. Looking forward to next week's video
Thanks Chava. I'm also looking for junk journal ideas too, so I'm happy you liked this! See you next time.
I have lots of used tea bags I've been saving. So thanks for sharing with us.
Well hopefully you'll try something fun with them! Thanks for watching.
Great pages. Thanks for sharing. Love them all.your journal looking good. 😊❤
Thanks so much Jane. thanks for watching again this week.
Great video! I’m ready to give tea bags, napkins and rice paper a go! Thank you!!
Yay! I hope you do. Have fun with it!
The tea bags take embossing ink and metallic embossing powders really well, too! Ranger’s metallics are especially effective - gold, silver, gunmetal.
Ooh, I'll definitely play around with those too. Thanks Wendy!
I too was inspired by Treasure Books and used her recipe for glue; it worked so well! Your pieces are gorgeous and I have to tell you that I too have a bee tattoo in my left forearm!
I’m sure you already know this but just in case, if you put parchment paper on each side of your page that wrinkled in your book and iron it it should take most of the wrinkles and rippling away. The heat from the iron reactivates your glue but also dries it Hope that makes sense
Whoa! Cool! I would love to add a little more around my bee. Thanks for watching and hope to see you here again.
Oh, that's a great suggestion! Thank you!
Great ideas . I will have to find my teabags & try them out. I also get great ideas from Treasure Books 😍
Thanks so much. I hope you do give them a try.
I love using the tea bags. Different flavours give different colours of tea bag. So its a lot of fun. Thanks for your great ideas. I follow Natasha on Treasure Books as well. She is fabulous.
She really is, isn't she? So many good tips and ideas! Thanks for watching my take on collaging with tea bags.
I really like the tags with the water mark on one side
Thanks so much!
Great ideas! The loose tea is good for your compost/garden as well.
Oh that's a great suggestion!
Love all your projects❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much Mary! Thanks for watching again this week.
I have saved up some tea bags but wasn't sure what to do with them. Thank you for the ideas. I liked the wrinkled look of the page you covered.
Well I hope you try doing something fun with yours too. Thanks!
Cant wait to try these out,i loved ur video and eager to get started thank u so much take care❤❤❤❤
I hope you DO! Come on back and let me know how it goes!
Love this idea! I bought some tea bag papers - think Devid had used them - but when I stamped on it it bled terribly! Maybe I’ll try again but coat them first! 😉
Yes, I don't know how ink can't soak through, it's so thin, but definitely try coating it first and see for yourself.
really awesome junk journal
Thanks so much Kathy!
Love all of them 😊. I would love to see how you make your glued edged tablets. I've never seen it done before and would love to try it.
Thanks! Yes, I will do that for sure.
Great ideas!
Thanks so much!
I learned a lot thank you
That's so great to hear, thank you!
English’s Breakfast tea is tea as strong as coffee and it is drank early and at breakfast it’s very good
I'm such a coffee fan, I don't even know why I have this tea in my cupboard. LOL! At night I drink my tea usually, and of course it's decaffeinated.
Have you ever used the nylon fabric tea bags? Loved this technique. I really liked the page you covered up. 😂 I thought the texture was really cool.
I have not heard of nylon fabric tea bags. Interesting. Where would one find those? Are they actual tea bags?
@@AnnetteGreen Smith Teamakers and Tea Forté are two brands that I know use them. In case you don’t find them, I’ll bring some to Banff in November.
Very pretty and interesting. I've seen videos where the person using plastic wrap between napkin and whatever they're adhering it to. Then they iron it. I haven't tried that method so don't know if it works or stays long term.
I believe I've seen that as well, but I'm not sure if it was plastic wrap or deli paper... hmmm, either way, interesting.
By the way, those Avery labels are SO expensive here (UK) which is very sad, as I loved your other video using them
I'm trying to get them in Australia, too. Pretty expensive here, too. When I find them, I will shout myself because they look wonderful ❤
Bummer! Must not be produced there? Do you have another company like Avery there? Maybe they have an alternative or equivalent.
Let us know!
Fun with tea bags! While watching I soaked some tea bags and just opened some & dumped out the tea. These were old ones (caramel tea) someone gave me that I won't be using to make tea to drink. Question... what is the difference using the pva glue vs mod podge?
If you Google Polyvinyl Acetate, you'll find all the science behind what's in it and what makes it unique. It definitely has a bit of a rubbery quality when dry and that's why it works well in book binding and making these notepads. I'm not sure I would say the same for Mod Podge.
Have you ever tried printing on them?😀
I haven't, Crystal, and I'm a bit scared to since they seem a little delicate. I suppose if you taped them to a piece of paper and fed it through that way, it might work. Well, if you try it, let me know!
