Unique! It was a joy to watch the entire creative process. Thanks Annette😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for checking it out.
Nice!!!! First I'd seen that butterfly stamped like that. Thanks!!
Thanks! Such an easy and effective technique to try!
Annette - those turned out beautiful! I love them! Thank you for the inspiration! Your paper collection is so beautiful!

Your laminator idea for pressed flowers is fantastic!
Thanks. I'm sure I'm not the first to use a laminator, but it just seemed to make sense to try it. Thanks for watching.
Such pretty cards, Annette! Have never heard of specimen cards. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much Carole. Some people definitely haven't seen these before. So it's great you learned something new!
I have not seen the Specimen Cards before, but these are gorgeous!!! Think that might be in my future - thank you Annette!!!!
Thanks so much Cheryl. If you do a search, you'll see a zillion come up but they're all the traditional vintage brown distressed look. I'm so happy you liked my take on them. Give them a try!
@@AnnetteGreen Thank you!!!
Love your take on the specimen cards. I'm going try these. Thanks Annette for another great video/tutorial

beautiful! now I know what to do with my pressed flowers, thanks so much,🙂
Thanks! There you go! Now go and try it out!!
Love the cards and a great idea to use the laminator.
Thanks, it's a really great way to get a good seal. Do you think you'd ever try this?
Really love these cards! You are so creative!
Aw, thank you so much Maja. You're very kind. Thanks for watching. ❤
Annette, these are just beautiful. I was not familiar with specimen cards, so this
was extremely interesting. I guess I live under a rock because your techniques are new to me. But hey, I did get a mini pancake maker and have had so much fun making things, especially with shrink paper. So thank you for that!!
Thanks Marie! There's always something new to learn out there, isn't there? I'm constantly finding out about things I never knew. I'm glad you got a pancake maker and have been enjoying it.
Beautiful specimen cards.😊
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching.
Very nice as always. This looks like a lot of fun. One day I'll try it. Looking forward to next week's video 😊
Thanks Chava. A good one to add to the growing list of things to try! See you next time.
Beautiful specimen cards!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the laminating idea!
Sure thing Gayle. Hope you give it a try!
I really like almost all window ephemera and yours are beautiful!! Thank you! If you know that you are going to use fussy cuts double sided, you could just flip the image and print it out that way too, then you could cut them out and glue together and voila, double sided! Yay!Thank you!
Thanks so much! And yes, that's a great idea too. Thanks for that suggestion.
Annette, I do like your alternatives to the traditional specimen slide, especially the one with the fiddlehead fern die placement. Thank you.
Thanks Cheryl. So that's what that fern is called! I knew it was a cute name.
very creative!! love the colors❤️❤️
Thanks so much Kathy!
Absolutely lovely
Thank you so much Cyndi, and thanks for watching.
Those are so cute.
Thank you so much Becky 😊
Hi Annette, these are gorgeous. TFS 😊
Hi there Linda. Thank you so much!
These are really beautiful ❤
Thank you so much!
Very enjoyable❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful, thanks Mary!
I just discovered your video. I’m going to try this specimen card right now. Thankyou
Well, welcome!! I hope you have making some for yourself. Thanks for watching.
Love these!
Wonderful, thanks Patti!
Your specimen cards are all gorgeous! Your papers really add such a nice look to them too. That sticky grid technique is awesome. I would love one for my misti but for now I tried my little gelli plate in my misti. Only thing is it is thicker so the misti doesn’t completely close but I did get it to work just not quite as good as yours but not too bad. I love having a two sided die-cut butterfly for specimen cards…yay!
Thanks Belinda! Isn't that mirror stamping cool? The UA-camr I saw doing this technique used her silicone mat she normally uses in her die-cutting machine. I suppose that works as long as you have the cushion mat in your Misti as well, otherwise it's too thin. I don't have one of those mats (I thought I did, but don't, LOL) so that's why I just tried out this Waffle Flower grip mat.
@@AnnetteGreen I know! I’ve seen others use their white silicone mat to do the mirror stamping and other things but your idea to make it be exactly mirrored behind the original image using a stamp positioner tool is so clever! Way to go….love it!
Beautiful ❤
Thanks so much!
Great Specimen cards. I have done some with dried flowers in the past as well but I struggle with proper seal around the flower when laminating. Perhaps I am using too heavy of laminating sheets, or....... it could be the operator. This has motivated me to keep trying. :)
Thanks Celine. Does your laminator have two settings like mine does? When I do the very thin real flowers, I set it to the 3 mil setting. When I do the cardstock cut-outs or thicker artificial flowers, I set it to 5 mil. Mine are sealed very nicely. Also, do the whole sheet as opposed to small pieces of the laminating sheets. That's what is recommended for the best seal, at least on my machine. Hope that helps you before trying again.
@@AnnetteGreen Hi Annette. It doesn't. just an on and off switch. Not top of the line for sure but I am going to try some different weight of the sheets. Thanks.
These are awesome!
Well thank you so much!
These are fun. I'm glad you left the mistakes in, so we can see how you corrected them. I do love the vintage look, but I'm glad you showed other samples too.
Thanks. Mistakes are my specialty! LOL! I'm so happy you liked them. Thanks for checking them out.
Hello, it's really beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊 So happy you liked these. Thanks for watching.
Great idea to laminate your pressed flowers. I always use acetate and it slips around a lot.
Thanks. I was happy to pull out that dusty laminator for a change. Now I'm looking around for more things to laminate!
I love your style it’s gorgeous
Thanks so very much! I'm happy you like my style. Thanks for watching.
Wow love these
Thanks so much!!
P.S. like the stamping trick too. Would anything else work to stamp onto besides the waffle mat for that technique? Thank you!
I saw a video where someone used a silicone mat that one would normally use for embossing through their die-cutting machine. I didn't have that, so I tried mine instead. I would test out things you have to see what works.
Just subscribed to your channel! Really enjoyed watching you💕
Thanks and welcome! I'm so happy you enjoyed this!
Question......the Grip Matt isn't that sticky? How does the ink come off it then? I like this idea of reverse stamping. This seems to be a quick and simple technique but it's not clicking for me. Thanks
The grip mat is "tacky" but not sticky. Any silicone mat would work I believe. I just didn't have one so I tried this. They key is to make sure whatever mat your use, it's thick enough or shimmed enough so that your stamp makes good contact.
@@AnnetteGreen Ok I get it now. Thanks
👍👍👍💕💕💕🇩🇰
Thanks for all the love!
Great idea. The new ring light glare is a little distracting and makes it hard to see some of the details. Not a complaint just an observation
I agree, and it doesn't seem to matter what light I choose. The shiny plastic is going to be an issue unfortunately. Ideally, I would make UA-cam video outside on a table with no lamps! 😆

Thanks for that Patti! If I wasn't so lazy I would've looked it up. 😆
