I was a fan of the original ones that were long with a spiral binding. When they discontinued those, I made my own, too! Great ideas for recreating that center detail, Annette!
After finding you on youtube the other day...I have been binge watching...and shopping online far too much. hah! Thank you for sharing how to make this policy envelope. I really like the part that we can choose any paper. They are beautiful!
Thank you for sharing this. I was so disappointed they were discontinued. I hoarded them when I found out and now hate to use them. But will make my own going forward. 😉
Me too! They're so great. I'm glad you are willing to make your own. Some day off in the future there will be hoards of those G45 policy envelopes. They'll become a vintage collectible! LOL.
Thank you so much Annette. I really really love ❤❤❤. Your policy envelope it’s so cute and adorable too. I’m going to have to make some. Love ❤❤the papers that you’ve used. Great job. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Just found your channel and love this video on how to make your own. As much as I like having ready made supplies (which I don't always have on hand) I get tired of having to order online, paying postage and then waiting for delivery. Thank you for this video. I have subscribed and will be going back and doing a bit of binge watching. Pamela A / PA
Thanks Pamela! I'm glad you found me and enjoyed this video, and hopefully more. There's a more rewarding feeling, I believe, in making your own things over buying ready made. Sometimes we're in a hurry, and that's when it's definitely better. Thanks again for watching.
Hi Annette! Thanks so much for this video - Saved to favorites. Going to use it to make envelopes for my Christmas cards that I hand deliver this year.
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing! Do you think you could review how to use a crop-a-dile? Many of us have not used one before and it would be nice to learn. Thanks for considering.
Thanks Sue! I'll keep that in mind for a future video. In the meanwhile, you can check out We R Memory Keepers UA-cam channel for this great overview on how to use the Crop-a-dile: ua-cam.com/video/JyAQtIvP5d0/v-deo.html
Annette, surprisingly, this is the first of your videos that I have watched. Your voice is very soothing and so nice for instructing. Of course, your tutorial itself was great. Thanks very much!
Thank you for this, Annette! I have been wondering where to buy those disks that you wrap the twine around; now I see I can make them if I have a circle punch and heavy card and eyelets! :-)
When I did mine, I sliced 1/16th off the side of the envelope (or you could do the bottom) and then slid it onto a hinged binding, then you can reseal that part closed with a bit of glue or thin double-sided tape.
I quickly went to my friend Google (which you can do as well) and converted the measures to centimeters. 9 1/4" = 23.495 cm, 10" = 25.4 cm, 2 5/8" = 6.6675 cm, 3/4" = 1.905 cm, 2" = 5.08 cm
Thanks Annette have a great weekend too 🇬🇧
Great page so colourful . Have a great day. 😊❤

Thank you for sharing this. I was very sad when they were discontinued,🇦🇺💕
Yep, weren't we all? So now we can make our own, and it's way more fun to customize them now than to simply purchase them.

I have the CTMH stamp and 2 different library stamps. I’m excited.
Perfect! (I still love my CTMH stamps from back in my consultant days) Have fun making yours!

Awesome! Thanks.

Yay! Super easy DIY. Have fun with yours!
I did it!
Awesome!!
Thanks so much! Do you happen to know what all of the finished envelope sizes were?
Hi Janey, sorry for my delayed response. The finished size is 4 3/4" wide by 6 1/2" tall.
How do I attach this to a album? I am using hinges with tape. It would take room out of the envelope???
When I did mine, I sliced 1/16th off the side of the envelope (or you could do the bottom) and then slid it onto a hinged binding, then you can reseal that part closed with a bit of glue or thin double-sided tape.
Ohhhh, never thought of that! You are so smart!
Bonjour, j'aime beaucoup votre tutoriel pour ces supers enveloppes, mais dommage que vous ne donniez pas les mesures également en centimètres.
I quickly went to my friend Google (which you can do as well) and converted the measures to centimeters. 9 1/4" = 23.495 cm, 10" = 25.4 cm, 2 5/8" = 6.6675 cm, 3/4" = 1.905 cm, 2" = 5.08 cm
