  • Chapter 17 of the NASM Essentials of Personal Fitness Training manual aims to show how balance training can enhance keeping the center of mass inside of the base of support. The goal is to provide sound balance training exercises using proper technique to create a proprioceptively-rich environment to enhance performance and diminish injury risk and falls.
