In this video I compare the beretta 92F and the Beretta 96A1 and talk about the differences and similarities between the two fine firearms. Thanks for stopping by.
What you have there are 2 very nice Italian made 90 series! I bought my 1st beretta 92FS back when that Mel Gibson movie came out? I forget the name of it now. To my great pleasure it shoots and handles beautifully! I have large hands and the 92FS fits them perfectly! I bought the model 96 some 10 years ago. I too love the .40S/W caliber and have added a few carbine models chambered in 9mm and .40S/W. It's just how I like to simplify/maximize to usage of this pistol caliber!
The 92A1/96A1 have a blue aluminum frame buffer. In addition, the takedown lever/button is different from the standard 92FS. Also, the slide is slightly thicker and the front of the slide the log is bigger making the 92A1/96A1 slides not compatible with the regular 92 frames.
The thicker beaver tail is not due to caliber, that's new Beretta. As far as the takedown button goes all 92 series model have an oval one like the 92F but the 92A1 & 96A1 both have a circle shaped button. This makes sense as the 92A1 & 96A1 are not on the same frame as any other 92 series pistol, they're built on the "90Two" frame. They will not fit any M9/92FS/M9A1/M9A3/92X holster.
Nice pair of pistols, i currently have a 92x RDO compact and I'm thinking about getting a 40 s&w but I can't decide between the 96a1 and the PX4 Storm... What do you think?
Why would they put a. Polymer on the new one vs a metal one? 🤷 Are you going to dwitch that out? Have you done any mods or upgrades? Do you have any other 40 s&w pistols? Hows the 96A1 holding up? How much did you get it for? I'm hearing $750ish is a conmon price
The best looking hand helds ever

Very cool, thanks for sharing your experience, and thank you for watching!
Lethal Weapon is the name of the Mel Gibson movie

You probably can't go wrong with either but I prefer metal frame guns so I like the 96 but the PX4 is cool too.
Can you tell me if its true that the 9 mm magazine and cannon can be used in the beretta 96a1? Thanks for the video!!
No you can't use it in the 96. It fits in the gun but it's not usable you will need a 96 mag for a 96
Beretta for ever ❤❤
