The very first handgun I bought when I began shooting was an F96 Beretta in .40 S&W. It was a police trade-in and at the time, my friends all said .40 S&W was the one to own for self defense. Today, I carry a Kimber TLE II in .45 acp as my EDC and have for years. But that first Beretta was a sweet gun and the one I trained on to get proficient with shooting handguns. The .40 S&W wasn't easy to master and took a lot of practice and training. Thank you for the great content.

I don’t care what anyone says about 40 cal, I love 40cal. I think the hate comes from people that can’t handle the recoil. This is a very fine looking pistol.

  • @TheGunfighter45acp

Nice find! This pistol is definitely a winning combo of Beretta good looks and the punch of .40. The +2 mag may seem like such a minor thing, but it definitely ups the capacity to the modern notion of an adequate number of rounds on board. And it looks like it's in fantastic shape for a used pistol. Enjoy it! 👍👍

I love 40. Because here in California, no matter how many rounds the gun can hold, we are limited to 10 rounds! So 10 in 9mm, or 10 in 40🤔? But I do love my 92FS. Thank you Beretta Sr. For another great review.

  • @deltaactual8286

Love my 96a1, I just acquired a Beretta 92a1 as well.

  • @guardianminifarm8005

Nice! To my shame I didn't know Beretta was still making the 96. I am proponent of the 40. I have carried a 40 as primary carry since the late 90s. Thank you for the experienced opinion concerning the threat stopping capacity. I have seen and heard the same. I have worked with LE for decades. The caliber debate is always present. The stats are available and real. The 9 is definitely not useless or incapable. But the 40, 45acp, 357 Sig and 10mm do bring more "power" to the fight. A 96LTT sounds like a great option.

I am a Beretta fan boy and I have the M9A1 and it’s fantastic. Great pistol and great video Beretta Sr. 🤠

Beretta 96A1 in .40 S&W is my personal favorite gun. Great gun in an ample caliber. Thanks for an awesome review!!

  • @SnakeEater871

Nice to see that Beretta made an A1 in 40 cal. I've only seen the 92A1 at my local gunshop.

  • @ahmade.8142

First gun I ever shot was a 96FS, first gun i ever owned was a 96A1 amd I'll never get rid of it. A set of Trijicon night sights is a must

  • @maddog8148

    40 S&W is basically at 10mm short; just like a 380 ACP/9mm short to the 9MM.

  • @Art-mo5bt

Real life is all right with me.

  • @slimfire5475

I've always like the Beretta 9mm but never owned on. This is a nice one so congrats on the 40cal and thanks for the video, Slim.

  • @randlecarr3257

Love my INOX 96 Wilson Combat makeover. Trigger is SICK so fun to put .40 holes in things

  • @MidwayShooter

Just shot my 92 FS today. It was a trade in from LAPD and kinda beat. Paid 200$ for it. My sons a Leo and a gun dude. He went through it and replaced everything new with Wilson Combat… what a shooter.

  • @3Pillers

What a combination, Beretta and 40 cal 👍.
