Don't forget that the Kanan comic is just a reflection of his memory. And with his trauma, it is conceivable that many things went differently than in his memories
Seeing Caleb again made me instantly fall in love with the show. This was an amazing opener and Omega is quite honestly just the cutest. Also my boi Echo is back and looking fresh as ever, kama and all.
Echo seems a bit misplaced just now though since Tech seems to be doing all his work. Hopefully with Crosshair now out of it, Echo will come into his own in the team.

Fun little detail, Crosshair kept his helmet on when they returned to Kamino. The only clone faces we saw besides Squad 99 were the regs in the mess hall. This signifies the loss of the individuality (we saw a bit of this with Rex in the last 2 episodes of Clone Wars)

I felt like the comic version was more moving since it was grounded in the relationship Caleb had with the clones he fought with and the fear and betrayal of being hunted by his friends. But I’m so happy to see Caleb Dume and the way they tied on his backstory to the story they’re telling here. It makes it believable since so many masters died and he survived as only a Padawan. Like lucky circumstances that he was with a group of clones that didn’t follow orders at once makes it plausible he survived.
I think the mystery dead Jedi when they first got back to Kamino was Rig Nema. She was seen in season 6 as a medical Jedi. Pretty obscure character, but just from the way her hand looked, she's the best fit.
I don’t know why but it gives me chills that poor Saw Gararea has be fighting the Empire since literally day 1. That dude was fighting impossible odds before the rebels made it cool.

so they retconned Kanan's story from the comics... a bit of a bummer, but i guess the same impact of order 66 is shown here on him. the end credits named him as Captain Grey (if you didn't see it already) so to me he's kind of a mix of Commander Grey and Captain Styles from the comics, but his green helmet kinda reminds me of Big Mouth i'm so happy to see echo again

If they’re willing to retcon something made canon relatively recently then this may open the door to them retconning other things. I’m curious if the rumors that they’re rebooting the sequels softly with Favreau and Filoni are actually gonna come true

The sound of the stress on the wires as Wrecker was pushing the tanks over sounded so similar to the sounds in RotS. It was so weird hearing Tech say "you're more machine than man". A direct reference to Obi-Wan saying that about Anakin/Vader.

Honestly, with that hair I thought she might be the prototype clone crossed between Jango and Palpatine. Because her hair looks similar to Palpatine's in Phantom Menace.

I hope they might integrate some of the unfinished Bad Batch stuff from the 10 still cancelled Clone Wars arcs (about 40 episodes) into this show, even though those stories were probably happening before the CW season 7 finale. I would just really like to see all of these still missing episodes on screen again.
I did not care much for the Bad Batch in season 7 so I was not super excited for this series but oh how wrong I was. Really great first episode! Love the new perspective during Order 66 and the interactions between Omega and the Batch and Tech and Wrecker😁 Caleb's voice was a bit weird, but I'll allow it since it's still Kanan's voice actor :P
I think it is supposed to be Shakk Ti because in a two deleted scenes in Revenge of the Sith she was killed one of the deleted scenes she was killed by General Grevious (also this has nothing to do with what I'm saying but General Grevious is one of my favorite star wars characters) and the other deleted scene, although I actually don't remember if it was a deleted scene or a deleted storyboard, Anakin killed her in the attack on the temple, and the other time she was killed, well not really killed she basically committed suicide, was in the game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed by Gallen Marek (A.K.A. Starkiller) which was in the old expanded universe, but obviously since those two deleted scenes are deleted they wouldn't be canon and since the expanded universe was nicked and made no longer canon Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is not canon anymore, meaning Shaak Ti was never given a confirmed death, but since she oversaw the training facility on Kamino it's probably safe to assume that the body's is hers

Ok so what episode is Saw in? This is only the second time I have seen him with Rogue One being the first. I thought I had seen all the main clone storyline, but they say Rex trained him. My watch list for Clone Wars only consists of 31 episodes, focusing on the Clones and Droid, leaving Jedi as side characters that show up every so often.

The clones we've grown to love have all been wiped of their personality. It's going to be hard to think differently of the clones on this show.

Ok so what episode is Saw in? This is only the second time I have seen him with Rogue One being the first. I thought I had seen all the main clone storyline, but they say Rex trained him. My watch list for Clone Wars only consists of 31 episodes, focusing on the Clones and Droid, leaving Jedi as side characters that show up every so often.
