@@laurids796 On the pinned comment of last episode I said it was because his animation style was very different I frankly didn't recognize him. His skin tone even looked different, to me.
@@emme It's okay, Emme. As the animation style changes (gets better), these kind of things happen. Also, do you remember "Quinlan Voss" from the Clone Wars series? His actual first appearance was in Phantom Menace, where he was a background character. He'll be mentioned again, which is why I'm mentioning him.
14:58 You might have been told this already since you said these episodes were released a while back on not UA-cam but, on the chance you weren't, the clone was about to say that Cut looked like a clone (which, as you can guess, would be bad for cut since he was a deserter; the situation at the shipyard with the Bad Batch undoubtedly saved his life).
Emme, I think the dynamic between the bad batch and omega is more like four orphan older brothers raising their baby sister (follows the theme of the clones calling each other “brothers”). Love your reacts!
You are correct, the chain code is a method of tracking a person's location and agility to make purchases. Fun fact, the social security number was never supposed to be used as a method of identification but you can't live it the US or do any legally binding business without one. In a way the chain code could be compared to the SSN the same way the empire is using the chain code like the real the war on cash. Most institutions in power hate cash because you can make personal purchases between private parties away from prying eyes. What a lot of people don't know or don't care is that you technically are supposed to pay taxes on such transaction but most never do. That is why if you have a large amount of cash on you it could be confiscated by the authorities like police, or even the airport security without being accused of any crime and never get your money back. Just having such fund on you is enough for you to be targeted for suspicion of illegal activity. If you do get stopped they can take your money, detain you and then blackmail you into keeping your money .The empire are locking down the people so they are sure to get a cut of any money changing hand and at the same time tracking people and their resources.
I was supposed to hang out with friends 4 hours ago but I bumped into your channel and have been skimming through your Star Wars videos for 4 hours! So excited to see your reaction to the end of Rebels. Keep going!
I spent the entire first season wracking my brain.....trying to figure out what Omega's enhancement might be. She DOES seem to be a quick study in everything she tries and excels quickly. I'm pretty sure we will find out more when season 2 starts in January.
@emme, 15:01 LOL! Listen to the voice again. They have the same voice. He was likely going to say "you look like a Clone," which he does because he is. He's a deserter. I don't recall when, when we met in in the fifth or so season of Clone Wars. IIRC, Rex found him and instead of arresting him, let him go. Omega isn't like the Bad Batch. She's...unique. Her sex was changed to female, most likely because Nala Se wanted a daughter, but aside from that, she's an unaltered clone. She grew up naturally. She's also the second clone. Her name is very likely Omega because she's the last of the unaltered clones, her brother Boba, is Alpha. All of the other clones were made property of the Republic, now Empire, and as the Republic wanted soldiers the Kaminoans sped up their growth so that they would be ready for battle when needed. Boba was raised by Jango until AotC and Omega was raised by Nala Se. Omega knows so much about the Bad Batch because...well, I'll let you learn that as you watch the story. I shouldn't spoil it for you. The story will tell you...eventually =)
While they are like dads to Omega, it’s actually more accurate to say that they’re her older brothers since the clones always refer to each other as brothers. That being said you could say that they’re older brothers who are basically raising their younger sister.
Technically speaking, Omega is an unaltered clone. The same as Boba Fett just opposite gender. She’s the only female clone. Therefore, she’s their sister just again unaltered. Meaning she doesn’t age fast as the rest of her brothers. She grows up normally just like us. Yes, it’s funny. Clones have varying ages from 1-13 years old but they’re mostly a much more matured, well-trained & adult body state. I’m not saying the Bad Batch are 10 years old but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible. However, millions of Clones were already produced before the Clone Wars. Remember when Obi-Wan said “Master Sifo Dyas was killed nearly 10 years ago”. The Clone Wars lasted only for 3 years. Therefore, the Clones were in development since 13 years ago before the end of the Clone Wars. 10 years for before the start of the Clone Wars just to clarify that. Remember, in one of Clone Wars’ episode where Senator Padme Amidala spoke to the Senate? One of the Senators proposed purchasing an additional 5 million Clone Troopers during the 1st or 2nd year of the Clone Wars. Why not the 3rd? Cuz the Mark II Clone armor were developed during the last year of the Clone Wars. Obviously the helmets are different to indicate how many years have passed. Imagine that, 5 million produced living beings within that short span of time.
Isn’t Omega’s theme music awesome? Kevin Kiner, the composer, is great! He did the music for Clone Wars and you will also hear in Rebels. Btw, the Rebels theme is one of my favorites! Speaking of Omeeeega (that’s how she pronounces it 🤣), I speculate she can use the force. No inside info, purely guessing. And I don’t know for sure, she and Boba Fett should be the same age, since both their aging has not been accelerated. I hope for a meeting someday. By the way, even though the clones are physically men and trained to be soldiers, I think they’re still like 13 year old boys, mentally/maturity level. Kinda makes me sad since they’ve seen so much! 😞 Great episode as always!
love the bad batch family its wholesome, and weird to see them as dads/brothers since they have no clue they were breed for combat so child care so far out of the comfortzone :D
star wars isn't notorious for having good father figures, but in the exponentially short list (of maybe three characters), hunter and the bad batch are my #2 in terms of good parents!! i love them so much!! just omega chilling with her pseudo-dad and her weird uncles LMAO
Good morning, Emme! Hope you are well! 16:00 - Yeah, the Bad Batch is all about family, if you think about it. I mean, Star Wars itself is about family when you boil it all down. While you are correct about Hunter being "The Dad" of the bunch, Tech, and Echo are the "Uncles", and Wrecker... well, he's kinda more like the "Older Brother who is WAY protective of his little sister". This dynamic keeps going throughout season 1. Okay, that's a minor spoiler, but you pretty much figured that out on your own. But that leaves Crosshair... who is, I guess, the "excommunicated black sheep" of the family. But hey, you have to have a villain for the protagonists, right?
A little something I feel like this episode - and the series in general - missed out on exploring is the fact that the Bad Batch WAS killing regular clones quite casually for supposedly being brothers. Of course I do realise they weren't given much choice but I would've welcomed some emotional conflict as a follow-up.
Frankly the regular clones treated the Bad Batch like crap since they are defective clones. Its no surprise that the Bad Batch, in return, really didn't care about shooting and killing other clones. That is until they learned the real ramifications of the Stormtroopers project and what it meant for the clones.
Omega is likely force sensitive through experiment. Palpatine has always tried to capture and create force sensitives. Its something heshas obsessed over. My guess is she's a future jedi or sith just like Gorgu is a future sith/Mandalorian.
They are more like 4 older brothers looking after their younger sister. Omega needs to learn to be a little more careful, she might blow their cover or get herself in danger.
7:25 may I direct your attention to the State of Texas, where the Attorney General is compiling information about people who are transgender without their consent, without probable cause, and without statutory grounds by tracking changes to ID cards? 🙃 Also, I don't know if this was caught or not (sorry if it was) but Cut and Suu were in the Clone Wars series (Cut was the deserter that Rex let go).
I’m sorry emme I read your post wrong. The episodes below are episodes you’ll be reacting to way in the future. Those were patreon episodes. I was like why would you skip so much
When editing this I remembered we were introduced to Cut and Su in season 2 of Clone Wars! Feels like a lifetime ago but I love seeing familiar faces!
glad u remembered i love them and their relationship with rex
You didn’t remember Saw Gerrera and his sister out of clone wars either :(

Season 2 episodes 10. Nearly 13 years ago.

The Clone trooper was commenting that Cut looked like........him. They are both Clones.
Which makes Cut a part of Omega's family too, eh :)

I feel like omega is constantly teaching the bad batch, how to take the moral high ground and be better people. She’s awesome.

The fandom is calling them The Dad Batch fr XD

I love the Dad Batch meme as much as everyone else... but technically, they are her older brothers.
More like younger technically since they age faster.
