Hey folks! This is a test of a new series on The Escapist we're cheekily dubbing "Multiverse"! @@hoodagooboy5981Not everyone is Christian, for one thing, so.... Moreover, the Bible isn't clear that just saying "Jesus!" etc. in surprise is actually bad. "In vain" can mean many things. Google if ye doubt the claim.
It's so funny the way everything is horrible and the vaguely-living envy the dead. Ha haaa! (It's still a great game though, but seriously dark all over the place, gorgeous visuals aside)
This was really well edited. Monty Python was classic in their day and is always nice to see them being parodied and meshed with something recent yet familiar to their style.
It's not just nice to see, but perfectly appropriate seen as many Monty Python movies graphical style was as though they were mishmashed together from newspaper cutouts. I'm sure they'd be proud of this.
0:55 Full credit for doing this shot dude! This is such a cool shot, must have been a pain to make! The way he runs up the stairs feels way too real! Good job!
Everyone's talking about the hidden door bit, but in all honesty that whole sequence was just masterfully done, from the very moment he ran up and stabbed the door guard.
Hey folks! Welcome to a test series we're trialing here on The Escapist cheekily called, "Multiverse". We invited UA-camr eli_handle_b.wav to collaborate with us on this first episode which pairs Monty Python with Elden Ring! If you enjoyed this and want to see more of those goofy little videos on The Escapist, let us know!
I thought it looked like eli_handle_b.wav been subscribed to him for a bit, and I was thinking this has to be his work, way too clean to be anyone else
that hidden wall joke and i don't know why it so perfect of like they're doing coop so they can't summon their horses so they just jogging around hahahah love it
“Nobody expects this from The Escapist! His chief weapon is surprise... surprise and fear... fear and surprise... His two weapons are fear and surprise... and ruthless efficiency.... His three weapons are fear, and surprise, and ruthless efficiency... and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope... His four... no... Amongst his weapons... Amongst his weaponry... are such elements as fear, surprise... I'll come in again.”
Lancelot "saving" Galahad from the perilous Fia the Deathbed companion would've been absolute gold. A Holy Grail and Elden Ring is the crossover we didn't know we needed in our lives.
Honest to God the Margit scene is exactly what it feels like the first time with summons 😂 And Lancelot is when you summon that chad Sunbro who knows exactly what he's doing and goofs off anyway
"He was not in the least afraid to be hit by a Fell Omen, or to have his grace turned off, or his weapons broken. To have his runes all stolen, and his tree all burned away. Brave Brave Brave Brave sir Elden John."
One of the best edits I've ever laid my eyes upon. Even the color correction for their environments, and the way the smoke envelops them. You are a master
No ones gonna talk about how perfect that "Jesus Christ!" part is? And the rotoscoping characters from a movie that came out ion 1975 is just RUN AWAY! LOVE ITTTTT!!!!!!!
'Charge' , 'Run away'😂😂😂 That's me every time like a real Brave Sir Robin🤣 Miss the invisible coconut horses though😉but I won't fart in your general direction🤣'cause this was very funny😄
This is the most beautiful content I've seen on UA-cam in years. It brings me back to a more humble time of YTPs and mashups of hardcore raps with children's show tunes. Ahh, the good ol' days. This is content worth paying monthly for.
In the 1970s, me and friends used to do the summer season (washing dishes in hotels etc) down in Newquay, Cornwall (coastal resort in South West UK - popular with surfers). On the way home from the pub in the evenings, sometimes we'd knock on people's doors and then all shout 'Run Away! Run Away!'. And then we'd run away. It was very bad behaviour, and I do regret it now, but it seemed funny at the time. We quoted Monty Python all the time back then, just like people still do today!
well done. honestly I felt all those emotions you showed during the game. charging into a castle stabbing everything trying to keep ahead of the angry mob behind me. running away from monsters. etc.
@@alzarin Nice! He deserves the coverage, love his work hehe Escapist is mid-tier but ZP brings it high, this edit was a nice little side-shot for Escapist ^^
You made my day. I just got two teeth set up for crowns and am feeling down about the nearly 3000 dollars I am spending. This was such an antidote. I love Monty Python and loved this movie and play Elden Ring. Such a great job done here. Peace
When I saw title of the video I was happy thinking I like Monty python and I like Elder ring. Is Frost gonna pour a drink and explain how these two are related? But then I saw the video and I agree it's a fun goof but it wasn't the content category I was expecting to see
Omfg i died when he came running out stabbing everyone and running through. I died when i first watched that part in the real movie too. Holy fuck that was amazing.
This is my comment saying ‘Yes, I want more’. This guys videos are amazing. Whoever hasn’t seen his videos, look up Austin Powers in Mass Effect or his most recent John Wick in RE4. My personal favourite is The Mask in Witcher 3.

Hello there!

Thank you so much for supporting eli.b I love their videos so I'm glad to hear this means more motivation for them to continue their edits
Hell yeah!
@@eli_handle_bwavGeneral Kenobi!?
Lancelot hitting the wall looking for a secret passage 😆😆
My favourite part

John Cleese, a true visionary, predicted Dark Souls and all the tropes it would give rise to, years and years before it existed.
I waited for that to happen 😂
Kicking a crate is so fitting to DS series.
That hidden wall joke was more accurate then it had any right to be.
Agreed😂
Low key incredible! 🤣
facts 🤣🤣🤣
i had to keep going back to watch it again 😭😭
They don't have the right!
Furthermore, be wary of you don't have the right!
The "Jesus Christ" as Margit jumps at them was perfection.
It's taking the Lords name in Vain.
@@hoodagooboy5981I don’t think that matters all that much in the ER universe

This is living proof that either Monty Python meshes with anything or Elden Ring is a tragic comedy in disguise.
The Lands Between welcomes every being willing enough to become Elden Lord👑✨
Porque no los dos?
Would love to see a Monty Python Elden ring movie.
It's so funny the way everything is horrible and the vaguely-living envy the dead.
Ha haaa!

well the official manga of ER is a comedy where the player tarnished is basically retarded so
Forget Infinity war, THIS is the most ambitious crossover event in history. Also, the most hilarious. That secret door bit was perfect.
Agreed
Finally! Eldin Ring is finally good!
Infinity war isn't even a crossover

I need this to be real.
Ranni: "Wouldst thou come to me even now, my one and only Lord?"
Sir Galahad: "No, I am sworn to chastity!"
“Bet you’re gay”
“No I’m not…”
This was really well edited.

The guard even has the same expression as the one from the film

Their videos are all masterpieces, if you're planning to put out more like this I'd say go for it!
You left out "we seek the elden ring" "We've already got one"

Eli-B's work is just the cleanest. I especially love his "The office/Mass effect" and "Jim Carrey/CD projekt red" crossovers.
I didn't expect this from The Escapist, but it's more than welcome 😂

0:34 Perfectly understandable reaction to Margit, all things considered.
Every time I run away in Elden ring I have the image of the knights from monty python in my mind 10/10 hilarious imagery
More and more channels start doing those edits of movie characters in games and they are always welcome in my book.
Well it's still Eli Handle B work, seems like Escapist just hired him to do the edit.
This is living proof that nobody ever reads the credits to videos and just assume the channel posting it is the one that made it.
This was a very clever bit of video editing. I would love to see more!
0:44 The proper response to 9-10ths of the B.S. Elden Ring will throw at you.
Godrick the Grafted: Forefathers, one and all, BEAR WITNESS!!!
King Authur: … What an eccentric performance…

I usually just watch this channel for ZP but whoever made this needs a raise. Amazing.
The hidden wall gag cracked me. I legitimately laughed very loudly for longer than I care to admit.
0:25 "excuse me?"
This is just too perfect. I haven't played Elden Ring, but I have watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail again and again.
This is so good. I love the idea of the knights dancing in the Roundtable Hold.

Beautiful. A short and sweet masterpiece! John hitting the wall looking for a secret passage was an absolute brilliant touch!
"He was not in the least afraid to be hit by a Fell Omen,
or to have his grace turned off,
or his weapons broken.
To have his runes all stolen,

Seeing them pretend to be on horses just reminds of that horse glitch you can do on invasions in Elden Ring.
perfection
this guy needs to be given the budget to make a full out movie
"JESUS CHRIST" as a powerful enemy descends upon you is such a relatable gaming moment. I felt that playing TOTK against Gannon
Lancelot and the hidden wall message absolutely slayed me
One of the best edits I've ever laid my eyes upon. Even the color correction for their environments, and the way the smoke envelops them. You are a master
I would legit pay green money if there was a way to get the entire Monty Python film in Elden Ring.
No ones gonna talk about how perfect that "Jesus Christ!" part is? And the rotoscoping characters from a movie that came out ion 1975 is just RUN AWAY! LOVE ITTTTT!!!!!!!
The first quip about Camelot being only being a Model is levels of hilarious. Since the castle is pretty much a “Game Model”
Now this is some jolly cooperation! King Arthur wearing sunbro armor as well.
Fucking hell, this was great. The hidden path swing was the best
Incredible editing. This must be the best parody of this kind so far!
The cutting and editing for this video is magnificient! 😃
The Escapist gotta be the only magazine type entertainment company that actually makes enjoyable videos

You have NO IDEA how many times i would watch a Monty Python splice video of Elden Ring with production value even half as good as this.

The passive mobs looking through the dirt could also be used for a particular sketch...

Their face reaction when he calls them tarnished LOL
