I can see so much better while driving at night now! Thanks for replacing the other headlight for me, babe. Another thing you are good at is sourcing parts.
Thank you. I have a 2004. Struggled for years with the do-it-yourself cleaning videos that simply did not work. I have been friends with my mechanic for well over 20 years. Instead of replacing the assembly, we went in and replace the bulbs and put in better units.
hello and good morning.right now as I comment on your light change on your wife Avalon,we are having Blizzard conditions outside, its another Nor'easter with high winds expecting anywhere from 8'' to 18'' of snows all I can say is nice video my friend, stay warm, and thank you for the shout out...till next time
Huge help. Your video convinced me to change the whole assembly instead of just the bulbs. Aftermarket assemblies I found weren’t much more than the cost of three good bulbs. Some advice/talk through on detaching the bulbs from wiring harness might have helped novices. Still, a great video. Thanks.
If you ever feel that the yellow light is too dim at night, you can get some of those Philips CrystalVision bulbs. I did this on my 95 Mustang and it was a huge improvement. They are bit cheaper than Silverstars but also a tad bit brighter too. I just got the Avalon and the driver side headlight assembly has water in it. It looks like it's a quick job to replace it, I'll probably upgrade the bulbs as well.
That was a fun and informative video on how to change the light housing. A very enjoyable watch. You have a excellent way of talking with the viewers that comes across as if we are standing in your garage having a conversation face to face. I look forward to your upcoming videos. Phil.
P Wise thank you so much for commenting and watching my videos Phil. I really appreciate you saying that, it's not easy to look at a camera and see your best friend your having a conversation with. That's what I strive to do!
Thank you! You make this look like something I can do. I've heard to protect the new lenses from the sun's UV rays, there are specific, clear sprays that can be applied yearly or so.
Thanks for the video. I wanted to see how they were changed to see if it was something I could tackle myself and sure I can now. Changing the headlights on my 2001 Avalon this week. I tried polishing them, but the driver side light didn't do very well as it is also full of water. Plan on doing the passenger side soon as well, but had a light fender bender on that side, so I may need to straighten the framing out a bit. Also plan to change them on my 2004 Toyota Sequoia as well. I polished them about a year ago and have held up a fairly well with the kit I used, but I went back over them with a cheap polishing kit and messed them up a bit. May go ahead and swap those too.
Really outstanding! Are the lamp assemblies able to be aimed? If so, how? Thanks! Dave in Maryland. (I have two of those 2004 Avalons. Both run perfectly. Even the one with 300,000 miles!)
Great informative video. where is the best place (Ebay? Auto Zone? O'Reilly? Other website? ) to buy the new headlight assemblies?. I'm okay with aftermarket
I have a similar 2004 avalon. After unbolting the 3 10mm, the headlights doesn't come off as easily as shown in the video. Is there some sort of tab that is keeping it in and I just need to apply a lot more pressure? I've been trying to wiggle this thing out for about 15 minutes now.
@@foothillstrailhiker2426 After doing some more research, I've attempted to have another go at it. And to great success I got them off. I think it is due to my car mostly being parked outside. Some of the things must've rusted or the plastic is a little brittle. For each side of the headlight I gave it a hard yank to the side towards the parking light and it snapped right off and the new headlight assembly was easily put on. :)
This video was really helpful but on my 2000 Avalon xl, the clip on the end seem to hold back the head light with all the bolts removed. I've put a fair bit of force in all directions but nothing seems to work could you help me out?
Foothills Trail Hiker with all 3 bolts removed I can get it loose but there is a clip or something that restrains it I've put force in all kinds of directions and haven't figured it out.
jet224presents I have the same issue on my 2003. Can’t get it out because of a clip. I can see where it’s attached but can’t seem to reach it. I’m afraid I’ll break it if I pull any harder.
that feel when it's easier to repalce a light on a luxury car than a non luxury car (for some stupid reason the whole bumper needs to come off for camrys of the same year....)

I'm glad you can see better! It really needed to be done. Love you!
Replacing the headlight is easier than I thought it was gonna be the last cars I owned were way harder
We have a 2002 Avalon. It's a tank. I think it may run forever if we let it.

You made that look simple! I have never needed to replace the lenses just the light bulbs. Keep up the great job on the videos!
It really was pretty easy to fix. I'm glad I got that done for my lady.

Thanks for watching and commenting!
👍🏻 Great little video on this. Gonna be much easier than the timing belt and cylinder head I just finished on my 4G63 Laser! Thanks!

@foothillstrailhikerIs there a reasonably priced, quality, non-OEM manufacturer you'd recommend one may consider for new assemblies?
Thank you for your support and your help
Great job, thank you!
It’s really helpful, thank you 🤗

I have others ask me that before. I honestly don't know. Mine just popped right out.

I am interested in spare parts for the car in Avalon 2004 located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
