    Nice job. I have to do my struts on an 02 Avalon soon, very happy that you mention each nut/socket size. That is a big help. Much appreciated sir.

    wonderful video. I have a 2000 toyota avalon and needed to swap out the shocks and this video made it easy.

    Was it really necessary to remove the lower castle nut and remove the tie rod?

      @silvernblackattach 4 роки тому +4

      And after doing it, NO, it is not necessary....

      No. And that’s the very reason I watch multiple videos before doing any automotive work. You always see extra necessary or unnecessary steps that were or weren’t taken in each video. And afterwards you can do the job yourself using what you’ve learned from each video.

    Am I missing something? Why did you remove the tie rod bolt? Isn't that attached to the steering knuckle, not the shock?

      I was wondering the same thing. I was hoping I would find an answer in the comments. I found the question, but not the answer. At least not yet!

      I've replaced it twice on a 2000 Avalon and have never needed it remove the tie-rod bolt.
