On 9/14/19 twelve Foothills Trail Conservancy volunteers rebuilt one of the FHT's most remote campsites. We drove up a rough back country road to Long Ridge to get the materials and tools as close as possible to Pinnacle Mountain to save time and energy. On July 27th, 15 Foothills Trail volunteers turned out for our monthly trail maintenance activity. This month we planned to replace a very old and heavily damaged bridge. In this video the Foothills Trail volunteers head across Lake Jocassee to the Laurel Fork Fall access to rehab the campsite above the falls. We installed four new benches, a new fire ring with grate, a bear bag cable, and a sign post.
