My family owns a little lakeside cabin in Idaho that we visit during the summers. One of the most interesting things about that lake is that during early/mid-June the lake turns over, bringing all of the sunken algae and microorganisms up to the top. Once the algae starts to settle down again after a few weeks, the lake looks absolutely spotless. It’s a self-cleaning system! Personally, I think that’s pretty neat!
_Well at least this vid made me realize that if I was his friend and was with him during this "Wide Open Throttle, 39min Scared-Bitch-Fit", I would've killed him in the first few min. I was surprised that we didn't hear........."OH GOD!!!...A MOTH!!"_
So I have a theory- spoiler warning if you haven’t finished it yet. Basically what I think is that this guy had some near death experience, and ended up in some sort of limbo. Towards the beginning he mentioned that there was a lot of wind, which caused the water to be rocky. Being in a small canoe, his boat flipped, and between being extremely cold and the current pulling him, he was pulled under and couldn’t swim back up, he drowned. BUT, he was close to the shoreline, and he washed up there. Despite no one being around, being trapped in this horrible limbo he was fighting for his will to live, and to not die. Basically like when people talk about fighting to stay awake during a near death experience because if they “sleep” or close their eyes they’re going to die. Escaping the eldritch horrors was his body trying to survive. The visions that he saw at the end was a version of the “life flashing before your eyes” thing. During a final attempt to survive, his body produced enough strength to finally cough and expel the water from his lungs to allow him to breathe. He wakes up on the shore without his canoe, because he had drowned. I could be wrong, the plot could just be about how some guy teleported to another world/dimension, but I think this is a pretty solid theory
Wow you knocked this one out of the park as usual. First your voice acting is just so good so many creepy pasta narrators just talk in a monotone voice but you have this way of putting dread, terror and saddens in your voice. The sounds of water splashing and sloshing really helps you feel there. Also I wasn’t expecting you to use that creepy choir music in this one. So that was a surprise but a pleasant one for sure. Keep up the great work man love your videos
Holy shit bro, this has become one of my most favorite narrations by you. The whole time waiting for this man to finally reach his home had me on the edge of my seat. I feel like I’m there, going insane, the way you narrated it, I don’t know how you manage to show emotions with your voice but you do it so well that I’m so addicted to your stories. I imagined a kraken mixed with Cthulhu when the leviathan risen. I don’t need to tell you how much I love the sound effects and your music, because I did already. this is better than reading and I really want to get your audio books.

God, I can't be the only one who thinks the ending is done so perfectly. I'm not talking about the story exactly but how Somnium says it. The few words, then the pause in the music, and then the last sentence followed by the drop of the music. It legitimately gave me chills first time I heard it.

Dagon likes pranking people by suddenly pulling them into his weird infinite water dimension and scaring the shit out of them, he's a real jokester. ^^
