Hey everyone! I hope you have a great weekend! I included my thoughts of my last video in this one since i messed up and forgot to include them in that video haha. Remember to like and share (if you want to)

Hey, its the author here!! Thank you for giving the time to my little story. It was my first on the site, and while its a bit rough i think i got better over time. To address a couple questions people had, Ribbons county and Weinwick don't exist. This story is just one of a few thats I've written that take place there. Also methadone was NOT administered through an IV in the 80s. That was inaccurate, and i apologize. I ment to check it with my brother who had been an addict for a long time, but he passed away before i could talk to him about it. This story is kind of about a wierd imaginary version of him.
I honestly really like hearing your thoughts at the end of a video. I don't know the full process but I'm sure you went over every single line of text almost as much as the original author so hearing your take on the stories you narrate is always very pleasant and enlightening. It also feels like a nice way to come back down to earth after being envelopped in intriguing stories, good juxtaposition imo. Thank you as always for sharing these glorious tales! Your efforts are deeply appreciated!
It’s nice to hear a story that deals somewhat with addiction. Being a recovered addict myself, it’s something that brings me into the story a bit more. Rehabs don’t keep patients locked in cells and methadone isn’t decreased so quickly either. I’m fact, it takes weeks if not months for the to ramp you up to a dose that keeps you stable and generally folks are on it for a year or more. That said, I really enjoyed this story.
every wheres different, i was a week balancing my dose and each week they wanted me higher and higher m, im already on 70mls so i keep refusing, 72hours without a dose u be bedbound with agony unable to move only scream in agony from the stomach cramps, the body trying to force out a poop that doesn't exist, the bowls keep contracting in agonizing cramps at 72hrs the feeling of doom is so powerful that death feels like a happy realise, that sense of depression homlessness emptyness is usually why ppl relapse, the mental and physical pain is so unbreable u do anything to escape it, anything to feel normal again
For the description of the monster, it was confusing for me at first. But I listened it again and got the details. I think it’s a giant spider. A giant spider hatched out of the egg from within the sunken church. This story sounds creepy and oozy at the same time. It’s good.
I did get the impression that it was a spider, but I didn't think it was hatching. Based off the description of how all the webs centered toward a dark hole in the corner, I figured it was something more along the lines of a funnelweb spider. I think the low tune he heard was the webs vibrating, causing the spider to wake up from a previously dormant state. The fact that it's covered in mold kind of says to me that it's very old, and not something newborn.
@@Akabinxstar yeah it's a fairly decent spooky spider story like legit scary vibes and not just "yuck spider" like a majority of horror involving spiders is
@@mentkansleyunitedstatesgov6364 I dunno, they recur enough in creepypastas to the point of being played out. Not as much as skinwalkers or dogmen, but enough that the reveal is a bit of a letdown. Improbable size aside, they're functionally just animals, in this case little different from an extra mobile grizzly bear. And dangerous animals on their own lack that extra _oomph_ needed to proceed from unfortunate news report to genuinely chilling. Though, to this particular story's credit, the high detail of the description of the crawler's lair helped it over the hump.
Man!! That was a well written story!! Wow!! You certainly know how to pick them!! Your performance was nothing less than stellar! Your voice just lends itself to these kinds of examination of the mind...the dual narrators also lent an air of unique perspective. I was really impressed...always a roller coaster of deciding how the ending played out... deciding whether you would rather have heard it, or letting your mind play it out. I'm so glad your channel has been growing rapidly as of recently. Long time viewer/listener these stories get me through super long days of work or just give me something to marvel over when I have spare time to relax on weekends. I'm glad you got the long awaited attention you deserve. ❤
This story for me made me wonder are all people just judgemental of similar patients? The way the story was told feels so reflective of mentally unsound patients trying to tell their stories while doctors and others brush them off. How are we to know how true they really are? Also really good this doctor was kind enough to trust him. It was a simple monster story but really symbolises real life.
At work and just hopped on to find something to listen to and I’m just absolutely stoked that one of my favorite narrators just uploaded! Hell yeah! @@ooffs_artflowsThe MC was the character going through the therapy. It’s implied toward the end of the story both by the news reports and the letter to his grandma that he went back to the church with a shotgun, two handguns, and 2 jugs of gasoline. The forest fire is started by him burning down the church, presumably killing him in the process. He says in the note to his aunt that the missing children reports only started happening after his auntie takes him in, which occurred after he goes to the church. So i am in love with your narrations Somnium, i have been listening consistently for around 4 years I want to say? Im pretty sure ive listened to almost every single upload youve put out except for the settlement stories. You’re by far one of the most influential people in my life. Ive never had something stick long with me, much less something I have an urge to return to, and youve been that with your narrations. With stories like this you bring an emotion to me that I very rarely feel. You make me fall in love with characters, to listen at the edge of my seat for the conclusion, HELL YOUR NARRATION OF THE “I run a bar that serves one of a kind drinks” LITERALLY HAS INSPIRED ME TO BECOME A BARTENDER. stories like the girl the universe forgot, left right game, the showers, god they have a grasp on my heart like none other. All of this to say while yes the writers are the heart of the stories that have influenced me life, youre the soul. Thank you somnium, really. Also have you ever considered narrating borrasca?
I swear I remember you narrating this before. Crazy Deja Vu. That intro letter sequence feels very very very familiar. Is this a updated version of an old one you did? Either way, I love this. Great work man!
@@Darksomnium now that was a ride! I was surprised at the writing and pacing in the best way possible. Some people can write an interesting story and give glimpses at a characters. We kind of get what they’re about, fill in the gaps, imagine what their lives are like past the plot, but for them to put Harley front and centre was bold. No creepy ness apart from the none linear timeline as you pointed out. He even says as much that he really doesn’t want to talk about it. It really brought him the extra level that instead of a character filling a role in a plot, he felt like a person, and then your performance and inflections brought him to life. Colour me surprised when I saw I was 20 minutes in and it felt like no time at all. Don’t get me wrong I love a good monster, but material like this really lets you shine and show off what you can do. Eagerly looking forward to the next one
I really love your narrations ❤ you pick the most interesting, easy to listen to stories and you tell them so clearly and use emotion in your tone❤ love love love
13 seconds ago man am i glad that i happened to open UA-cam at the exact time a new video dropped to get lost in, thank you for the immersive entertainment :)
Thank you, again, for all you put into this channel... enjoy the concert a little for me too, as I'll not be able to make it to see them this time around. Have fun!!!❤
I've been having issues getting myself to eat, and your stuff is helping :) I just got a good amount of food down but felt like shit about it (which I shouldn't obviously), and this is really keeping my mind off it so I don't purge. That was maybe a bit much to say in a random ass youtube comment, but thank you anyway dude.
You can do it! EDs are a bitch to deal with, and you have my sympathies. One random tip I saw in other comment thread on this, was to have 5 or 6 small meals a day, to not overstress your digestive system. The poor thing has to learn all over again… As do you. I wish you the best for your recovery. Treat your body as if it is your baby. Make sure it gets what it needs to be healthy. You can do it. ❤️🩹
@@FireTurkey That’s the beauty of the comment section. There’s all sorts of people here, and you can learn a lot. The trick is to click away if a thread gets toxic, that requires practice. ^^;
I am excited to listen to this while on the road tomorrow. I hope it has the distinct music/beat at the end that you always end with. If that ever stops you have to rename your channel haha
Why are horror folks so wholesome and kind? After hearing the most bone-chilling, nerve wracking stories, I get greeted by the same voice that tormented my mind, now speaking in a much lighter tone, asking what I thought about the video. You’re toying with meeee!!! Should I be scared? Should I smile a little??? Guh? Huh??? ?!?!?!???
In your recap at the end of the story, you talk about how you like how the story starts with the effects of the events, then goes on to tell what happened. This reminds me of the classic story Dagon by H.P. Lovecraft. If you haven't already read it, it's a pretty short read (maybe 20 minutes?) and is written in a similar way to this story, so maybe you'd like that as well.
Hey suggestion for live stream! My boyfriend and I religiously listen to creepy pastas but we sleep with them too! Would you be able to do some darker backgrounds? I love your stories. Sometimes I’ll stay up to finish one when it gets juicy!

Great story telling .The best I have heard in a long time. keep it coming👍😧
Just in time to listen to as I get home and unwind, perfect!
have a good day!
Your putting these out so fast i can bearly keep up!!! Thank you man!!!
Glad you like them!
I really love your narrations ❤ you pick the most interesting, easy to listen to stories and you tell them so clearly and use emotion in your tone❤ love love love

Thank you Somnium for another amazing story!
Thank you, again, for all you put into this channel... enjoy the concert a little for me too, as I'll not be able to make it to see them this time around. Have fun!!!❤
That's for continuing to make long videos. You're the real MVP
amazing as always, good week to you too
I've been having issues getting myself to eat, and your stuff is helping :)
I just got a good amount of food down but felt like shit about it (which I shouldn't obviously), and this is really keeping my mind off it so I don't purge.
That was maybe a bit much to say in a random ass youtube comment, but thank you anyway dude.
I'm so glad the videos can help, I'm proud of you for making progress! Keep up the good work :)
You can do it! EDs are a bitch to deal with, and you have my sympathies. One random tip I saw in other comment thread on this, was to have 5 or 6 small meals a day, to not overstress your digestive system. The poor thing has to learn all over again…
As do you. I wish you the best for your recovery. Treat your body as if it is your baby. Make sure it gets what it needs to be healthy. You can do it. ❤️🩹
Thanks. It means a lot, which feels a bit weird given we're all internet strangers lol but thank you. 💚
@@FireTurkey That’s the beauty of the comment section. There’s all sorts of people here, and you can learn a lot. The trick is to click away if a thread gets toxic, that requires practice. ^^;
Awesome timing Just In time for my lunch Break.
Thanks as Always Mr Somnium. You've been on a Roll
i hope you're having a good day!
Fellow Coheed fan! I went on the last cruise with them and I'm super sad I'm not going this time around.
i was on that cruise too! mabye we passed by each other haha
I am excited to listen to this while on the road tomorrow. I hope it has the distinct music/beat at the end that you always end with. If that ever stops you have to rename your channel haha
It's nothing short of a treat when you post. With your thoughts at the end it's like the whole meal, lol
Guh? Huh??? ?!?!?!???
Warren went out like a boss.
Thanks for helping me sleep so well at night! Your awesome for that!
That was EXACTLY the story that inspired me when I wrote it!
You always make my weekends great
tyty :D
just what i needed today!! thank you :)
You're so welcome!
Awesome I was just about to make lunch.. now I hv something to listen to thanks Ronnie
I hope you're having a goo dday!

Hey suggestion for live stream! My boyfriend and I religiously listen to creepy pastas but we sleep with them too! Would you be able to do some darker backgrounds? I love your stories. Sometimes I’ll stay up to finish one when it gets juicy!
Another home run, Somn. Something about this one really resonated.
Having a shitty ass week and can't sleep at 2am here in Australia, glad to have some company in your stories somni
oh dang i hope your week gets better!
