For anyone smarter and more determined than this sad sack, if you are buried alive: Keep calm, panic and subsequent air loss are what is most likely to kill you. Use a ring, pen, necklace, or just your fingernails if all else fails, to chip away at the coffin above your face. Obviously the cheaper the coffin the better. If someone buried you in oak you may as well just panic and get it over with. Once you've made an opening and dirt begins to pour in, operate in cycles of pulling dirt in, shoving it down your body and using your feet to pack it into the bottom, continuously pushing yourself forward and widening the hole. If you are lucky, you'll be buried shallow and this will be enough, however considering you have been buried alive let's not rely on your luck too much. Continue pushing until you are vertical, continue clawing out the tunnel, shifting your legs to allow the dirt to fall and pack in a rising floor, moving yourself forward inch by inch. Eventually you will break the surface, perhaps then would be a good time to contemplate on your decisions that resulted in your burial, and perhaps make better choices going forward.
The bad news is if you live in any modern country your coffin is most likely going to be placed in some sort of concrete sarcophagus or chamber (kinda like with "shelves" on the walls where the dead lay). So yeah youre not getting past that concrete

I’ve been listening to creepy story channels for years, but this is the first time I’ve ever actually had to pause one of them because it was making me anxious. And that was only after about 8 minutes. Can only imagine what the rest will be like.

This one terrified me! I guess being stuck underground not knowing what was going to happen or if I could find my way out. The poor humans being created? Horrifying!! This reminds me of Frankenstein.

Escapes being a cog in one machine to be a cog in a more horrific machine. This is life after death by suicide? 😳 The negative repercussions on surviving friends, family & acquaintances is dreadful.. and nobody _truly_ knows personal consequences, so just don't. You could be trading one hell for something many orders of magnitude _more_ hellish! Anyway, that's what I got as the moral of this story 😱 Edit: Becoming a cog in this nightmarish machine is best case scenario in this story.. not being scavenged at all leaves you to truly suffer. But the point is we really don't know. Unless you're from India ;P

I only just in the past year discovered narrated horror stories on youtube that I listen to at work or on the bus mostly, and you were quickly the channel I most gravitated to. Your ability to totally immerse me in these stories and worlds is unmatched, and I'd say therapeutic even. I used to love horror until my best friend was murdered ten years ago right in front of me. Suddenly I just couldn't handle it anymore, the blood and gore, senseless violence. It all became so triggering and traumatic for me. Yet when I found these stories, and your tellings of them in particular, I reconnected with my love for horror. Maybe it's because the visual element is removed, and the mind is allowed to contemplate and experience the story in a way that is acceptable to itself despite old wounds and traumas? I don't know, but I am grateful for it. Thank you for giving me a new hobby of sorts.
@@Darksomnium You are the king of the game, nobody in this scene is like you. Keep up the good work, it is an absolute pleasure to listen to your perfect narrtions.
There was a twilight zone episode with the same concept. I still think about that episode from time to time. Imagining what it would be like to be conscious, and trapped, in your body after you pass.
I think the fact that every story about what happens after life ends just suggests.... more life but forever this time, says a lot about how terrified people are of death. Edit: this is a good story
This is really good. I don't think there is any kind of afterlife in truth, no heaven, no hell, but I still like the idea that there might be worlds beyond this one. The idea of slipping into an underworld of sorts while yet alive is really quite fascinating.

About eleven years ago I attempted suicide, I was at an extremely low point in my life and had just given up. I got in the bathtub and ate two bottles of prescription medication, a benzo and an opiate. My boyfriend found me about half an hour later, I spent a week in the ICU after having my stomach pumped and being resuscitated after I had gone to sleep the first night. I laid in that bed, in the ICU, surrounded by a pod of another dozen patients who were there, involuntarily and WANTED to live. I felt like the biggest asshole. I can't ever fathom how to put that distinct feeling into words. Something close to the most thankful, grateful, sad and guilty emotions all rolled into one. I've never been suicidal again, doubt I ever will be. That feeling was just one of those very rare experiences that lingers in your soul until you die. But, I share it with everyone I know hoping that it helps them if they're ever thinking that the world and their loved ones are better off without you. Let me suggest that they are not. It will get better, even if it gets worse, everything is temporary. As cliche as it sounds, it's 100% accurate.
This story reminds me of the robots in a game called axiom verge. And it matches up.
