Been awhile since I played titanfall 2 but seeing jack's final interaction with birks that would mean that Jack Cooper got invited to the games "you deserved this" and handing him the card that is used to invite the other legends. Whether Jack Cooper will come later on or not is up to respawn.
The reason Jack became the C.O. Of OP 217 (the Titanfall 2 campaign) is because Jack is the last living Pilot on Typhon until Commander Sarah Briggs and the rest of the Militia Fleet arrive. Basically, OP 217 has Jack go through two Field Promotions. From Rifleman to Pilot S.I.C./Second In Command (Due to taking Captain Tai Lastimosa’s place when he transferred his Authorization - Which included his rank and position in the OP - to Cooper before he died), then from OP S.I.C. (Operation’s Second in Command) to OP C.O. After the discovery of Anderson’s death, at which point Cooper went through a standard Field Promotion.
I know I'm a bit late, but the bit "Jack is the last living Pilot on Typhon" is quite wrong considering you find 2 more pilots just outside the sewer facility (I think the 3rd or 4th mission?)
@@BlessedOneOfLight Okay, then ignore the “last living pilot” part, and focus on the part where I said “transferred his Authorization - as well as his rank and position in the OP - to Cooper before he died” part.
Wasnt a collapse at the Core systems forcing the IMC to leave the colonies behind? -------------------- EDIT --------------------- Dude, *official* Lore of Titanfall *literally* states there was a decades-long war at the Core systems and the IMC was forced to abandon the Frontier. And when they returned to collect the bills the war started because the colonists refused to pay.
In cause & effect BT downloads himself into your helmet so you can communicate through timelines, at the very end your helmet flickers indicating something is happening inside, BT Lives!
When wattson was working on the ring she actually burned down the old kings canyon map (that’s why the forest is burned down on the original map) and she passed out and was saved by wraith while looking for information on her past sneaking around.
Bloody excellent, might have a couple corrections though 27:30 Bangalore is trying to get back to Gridiron, Frontier, not the Core, as she's not from the Core. Her family was based on that planet and she's not sure what remains, though she'll probably seek out Jackson in the Outlands first as recent Wraith lore suggests he's indeed alive. After the Blackout event the refueling stations across the Frontier are mostly shut down which is why the trip takes so long by the time of Apex 45:00 That's a theory that appeared on some wiki that's since been debunked as far as Pathfinder goes. Pathfinder gained his self-awareness from the Project Iris scientists who custom-built him to survive the conditions of the Branthium refinery and operate the complex process, and already had his intelligence and personality from his first waking moment, as recalled in the book Pathfinder's Quest.
Very interesting. Thanks for the corrections on those. From the wiki pages I was reading it seemed bang was from the core, but I kept getting conflicting reports. I think the pages must've been updated a bit but not necessarily accurate as new lore dropped with Apex seasons
This is the lore video I didn't know I needed until I saw it just now. No, I don't really play Apex Legends much, but I still do play Titanfall 2 a lot. Nice to see how they connect the games.

look how long it took Riot and Valve to do a movie/series. Have no doubt my guy something similar is in the works in some capacity lmao. Apex only came out in 2019 😉
Hey, this isn’t really lord related, but have u noticed that all of the legends in apex are in some way or another based off of the pilots from titanfall 2? For example octane is a remixed version of the stim pilot, path finder is the version of the grapple pilot, and the hologram dude is based on the holo pilot. I tried out apex for the first time a couple days ago, honestly I loved it because there was so much of it that was taken from titanfall that just gave me pure nostalgia. I still play both titanfalls to this day which are my favorite games of all time. Thanks for covering the lore between the two games! Keep up the good work, and as always, stand by for Titanfall!!!
Thanks so much for this video! I'm a Titanfall veteran who eventually didn't have the time to keep following Apex lore and learn more about the universe, this is really helpful in my process getting back into it
I must say, this video is simply amazing. The amount of time taken to written to write the script, make the video and add the voiceovers must've been insane. Definitely one of the best Apex Legends related videos i seen. 10/10 for sure.
fun fact: if you don't say anything in the injector, BT's line is replaced with "Goodbye, Jack.", and that really captures bt and coopers journey, since it goes from "pilot" to "cooper" and then "jack"
Ya, this plus the fact he didn't mention that Wraith was a Pilot that signed herself up to be tested on was kinda a big hole in the video. By Titanfall 2 a lot of pilots used phase shifting but the simulacrums where the ones that used it the most
@@Kilmonjaro117 Only Simulacrums used Phase Shift, Teleporting throigh dimensions wasn't possible on Human bodies and they would loose memory or worse, explode. This was worked on between TF1 and TF2, they were mostly outlawed for a long time until Prohect Wraith which used new technology that was also used in the Phase Runner and Phase Shuttle seen on Olympus and the arenas map. Wraith was the first Phase Shift Human.
@@Kilmonjaro117 He *LITERALLY did:* 44:01 Wraith was a *senior SCIENCE PILOT,* not a Titan pilot. She was a scientist working on Phase technology, she didnt sign for sh*t. She experiment on herself because there was nobody else; and that backfired because thanks to that, she became the guinea pig of her former coworkers. Pay attention, dude. Dont be f-ing lazy and watch the whole video. But if you can find one, single *canon* mention of Wraith actually being a Titan pilot, at any part of the Lore, post it.
Also another thing you forgot to mention with Wraith. Supposedly the Wraith in the Apex Games isn’t actually from that dimension. Voidwalker Wraith is actually from the Apex dimension and went to Apex Wraith’s dimension to look for Dr Singh. When she gave Apex Wraith her phase tech and she left, Apex Wraith actually went back into Voidwalker Wraith’s dimension which is the Apex Dimension we know. TL:DR Pretty much the two wraiths swapped dimensions. There’s been more interactions between the Bangalore and Wraith, as Bangalore remembers the actions of Voidwalker Wraith ruining her chances at finding her lost brother but Apex Wraith wasn’t the one who did it.

itd be interesting to see a future tf game where the Apex Legends have an encounter with the Militia and Jack Cooper and eventually team up(the good ones at least) with the Militia to finally put an end to the IMC remnant fleet and Apex Predators
No it wouldn’t. A thing that makes me mad about apex legends is how ash is playable. She’s a trained pilot that would destroy any “legend.” Same as cooper. I think they should stop with apex and make another titanfall title. I’m not saying apex is a bad game, but respawn needs to look at something OTHER than apex.
Being a fan of TF 1 and 2. I started playing Apex at the end of season 8. I knew there was some connection with theses two worlds, and you cleared that up for me. You guys did a great job on the origins of theses games, and the commentary was spot on. Thank you so much for the work. And as aways. Aways stay legendary, Legend
This video being such a big smile to my face… hearing the Titanfall story again is so amazing to me, it brings back many memories of playing the tf1 campaign and the countless number of times playing the Titanfall 2 campaign
Was hesitating to watch this for a while bc it was a 45 minute long video and i thought it might be a bit boring, but this was impressive. It kept me interested the entire time and i watched it in one sitting, very well made
Fun fact: the IMC is actually an inter galactic Mega-corporation meaning that they might be the most powerful force in known space due to the size of there population and army size
This is awesome. Missed a few important points like there is a Caustic copycat named Blackheart, the Caustic-Crypto-Watson connection, the Pthfinder-Horizon connection, etc. But still an AMAZING video!
just one correction; phase shifting isn’t related to the time gauntlet or anything else we see in effect and cause. It’s a standard pilot ability, the only thing unique about wraith’s version is that she’s not a simulacrum.
This is a great video, this timeline is very hard to get right. But I need to get this straight. The ARES Time Gauntlet is the only time travel device ever made, and it only worked in that one facility on TF2. Wraith has the same ability as Phase Shift Simulacrum Pilots, which allows them to change dimensions for a short time, to the normal eye it looks like teleporting. This doesn't change any Time, she can just do that on a higher level.
@@diehardGG Eyy, it's completely fine. You did a huge video, Titanfall is hard to put together because Apex gives small tidbits of lore from before TF1 and between TF1 and TF2.
yo, if jack comes to apex events (he got the card on the final part of history) it would be epic, since he killed ash and valkyrie's father, but also have enemys in common with wraith and revennant, it would be sick
I think its pretty insane that people / developers can make such a cool universe for a couple of games I also think its impresive what they did for the world of Apex / Titanfall because the characters haev so much detail
i really hoped you'd cover more lore about the planets and their location/alliance to each other AND to the legends. but overall, thanks for the video.
things that you got wrong or didn't include: The "other Wraith" is from another timeline, not a dimension. Mirage's uncles are Davis and Droz, two pilots from the titanfall campaign that fought on typhon. Caustic grew up with Crypto. Valkyrie is still seeking revenge over whoever killed Viper. And probably more that i forgot
He missed a large part between Titanfall 2 and Paexganes where Pilots started to get some bad reputation, I didn't look for it that hard but Blisk talks about it to Valk saying that there is no more use for Pilots anymore. There are stories about what happened after Titanfall 2 but most of it will be explored as a part of what would have been Titanfall 3 with Jack Cooper.
imagine cupper being a new hero in apex and hes like: phhhh i killed your father on all 4 diffucltis like a bitch . cock slap here and walks out like a sigma male
Cooper is presumed dead and that was what lead to the fall of Pilots. Blisk talks about it in the Valk reveal Trailer. Talking about even the best of Pilots, now are nothing more than oversaturated grunts. He is most likely talking about Cooper. The best Pilot in his book, taking down his Mercenaries.
Only just found your channel through this video, loved it! This must have taken you AGES. Great job, thanks for the great analysis, commentary, and summation! :)
what i miss was the tid-bit of story in the multiplayer missions in titanfall 2, ttf1 did such a great job displaying these bits of story in the missions, actually having you on IMC or Militia instead of blue v orange, the unique POV's for the same map, the IMC may see themselves going in on drop pods while the militia may see themselves on a crashing dropship- a proper combination of both games would be amazing, it could also show what happened before or during coopers journey

Been awhile since I played titanfall 2 but seeing jack's final interaction with birks that would mean that Jack Cooper got invited to the games "you deserved this" and handing him the card that is used to invite the other legends. Whether Jack Cooper will come later on or not is up to respawn.
I'm sure they will at least thats what the fans seem to want
No, that was a typical business card. blisk is a freelancer after all.
Imagine his ult is calling BT
That was an apex predator card, I believe he was inviting him to join the apex predators
@@-_-___----_.. bt is dead?
Bit of clarification for pre-titanfal: the imc straight up abandoned the frontier colonies expecting them to die out
Wasnt a collapse at the Core systems forcing the IMC to leave the colonies behind?
-------------------- EDIT ---------------------
Dude, *official* Lore of Titanfall *literally* states there was a decades-long war at the Core systems and the IMC was forced to abandon the Frontier. And when they returned to collect the bills the war started because the colonists refused to pay.
In cause & effect BT downloads himself into your helmet so you can communicate through timelines, at the very end your helmet flickers indicating something is happening inside, BT Lives!
In Morse code the flickers translate to: "Jack?". He's definitely out there somewhere!
@@Bazzieh was just going to comment that lol

Some legends could stand their ground, mos definetly woudn't. Apparently bangalore even killed a pilot in the past, she has their knife.
When wattson was working on the ring she actually burned down the old kings canyon map (that’s why the forest is burned down on the original map) and she passed out and was saved by wraith while looking for information on her past sneaking around.
Yep.
I always wondered how that Forest burnt down. Thanks for shqring
That’s supposedly why here heirloom is like a ghost finder from ghostbusters. She’s trying to find wraith
14:26 love this reaction. It's so genuine. You sounded like you really wanted to know what was going on around there.
Bloody excellent, might have a couple corrections though
27:30 Bangalore is trying to get back to Gridiron, Frontier, not the Core, as she's not from the Core. Her family was based on that planet and she's not sure what remains, though she'll probably seek out Jackson in the Outlands first as recent Wraith lore suggests he's indeed alive. After the Blackout event the refueling stations across the Frontier are mostly shut down which is why the trip takes so long by the time of Apex
45:00 That's a theory that appeared on some wiki that's since been debunked as far as Pathfinder goes.
I think the pages must've been updated a bit but not necessarily accurate as new lore dropped with Apex seasons
k lol
Also the "truth" cinematic stories from the outlands depicts Pathfinder's creation pretty well.

The lore of titanfall/apex legend is so good that i am amazed EA is not going to milk a movie
I'd be kinda down for an apex movie, as long as it uses apexs animation style
look how long it took Riot and Valve to do a movie/series.

Phase shifting and time shifting is different, any old simulacrum pilot can phaseshift but time shifting is wayyy different
@@Kilmonjaro117
He *LITERALLY did:* 44:01
Wraith was a *senior SCIENCE PILOT,* not a Titan pilot.
TL:DR
Pretty much the two wraiths swapped dimensions.
There’s been more interactions between the Bangalore and Wraith, as Bangalore remembers the actions of Voidwalker Wraith ruining her chances at finding her lost brother but Apex Wraith wasn’t the one who did it.
what did concealer wraith do i didn't pay attention to that Twitter lore

It is not _"supposed",_ it is a confirmed *fact.*
There even was a diagram posted at Apex's Twitter explaining it.

Awesome video, man. I'm in love with Titanfall 2, and i have now transitioned to Apex, and your video was really fun to watch. I'd love to see more videos like this, maybe one about the weapons, describing them technically and lore-wise (not a tier-list type video). I think you could do a great job if you made one of those. I really hope Jack Cooper gets put into the apex games, it'd be awesome to play him again, or just a pilot with the ultimate of having a titan drop down for 30 seconds or something like that
itd be interesting to see a future tf game where the Apex Legends have an encounter with the Militia and Jack Cooper and eventually team up(the good ones at least) with the Militia to finally put an end to the IMC remnant fleet and Apex Predators
I hope he doesn’t. I hope Jack shows up in Titan Fall 3.
Sucks he's like 80 years old if not dead in the apex universe
I always forget that Apex legends has a very solid lore behind, and the every champion is conected in some way with each other, thanks for the video

Thanks! Yeah I still think it's a bit long. Hope to do more 20-30min stuff in the future
Titanfall 2 is a great game, I ascended to new level of gaming after completing the campaign
It’s a standard pilot ability, the only thing unique about wraith’s version is that she’s not a simulacrum.
and the fact that she can travel between timelines and dimensions at will, the normal phase pilots could only access that limbo-like phase state
one thing you missed was that at the end of the Titanfall 2 credits Jack's helmet beeps in Morse code and it says "Jack?" signaling that BT is alive.
Yes yes, I shouldve made that distinction 😥
@@diehardGG Eyy, it's completely fine. You did a huge video, Titanfall is hard to put together because Apex gives small tidbits of lore from before TF1 and between TF1 and TF2.
Cant lie, I never knew there was soo many intricacies with the backstory of Apex and the legends.
It’s kinda nice how the Legends came to the games to compete, kill and win money but ended up working together as a team in the storyline

I think its pretty insane that people / developers can make such a cool universe for a couple of games
I also think its impresive what they did for the world of Apex / Titanfall because the characters haev so much detail
i really hoped you'd cover more lore about the planets and their location/alliance to each other AND to the legends. but overall, thanks for the video.
That arena from TF2 would be a good arenas map in Apex legends
“You were not invited to Kane’s party” still my favourite line from him lol
things that you got wrong or didn't include: The "other Wraith" is from another timeline, not a dimension. Mirage's uncles are Davis and Droz, two pilots from the titanfall campaign that fought on typhon. Caustic grew up with Crypto. Valkyrie is still seeking revenge over whoever killed Viper. And probably more that i forgot
Caustic's mother raised Crypto and Mila at an orphanage, but Caustic had already left. That's why Mila's last name is Alexander.
Also, voidwalker is from another dimension, it is explained in the story from the outlands
Apex is literally Netflix adaptation of Titanfall.
Sadly due to greed we will never see Titanfall 3 again
I could legit watch this like a tv show… Respawn needs to do this.

Only just found your channel through this video, loved it! This must have taken you AGES. Great job, thanks for the great analysis, commentary, and summation! :)
It took a hot minute
what i miss was the tid-bit of story in the multiplayer missions in titanfall 2, ttf1 did such a great job displaying these bits of story in the missions, actually having you on IMC or Militia instead of blue v orange, the unique POV's for the same map, the IMC may see themselves going in on drop pods while the militia may see themselves on a crashing dropship- a proper combination of both games would be amazing, it could also show what happened before or during coopers journey
I literally cried seeing BT sacrifice himself AGAIN!
I will gladly watch this 40 minute video without any pauses
