Did you watch the full episode or read the comics? Nathan was raised/protected by his alternate-reality sister and spent his pre-teen/teen years being raised by Red and Slim (Jean and Scott).
🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 That scene had me in tears when Cyclops and Jean had a heart to heart with Cable. That is what every father needs to tell their sons and daughters.
@@mitchjames9350 Yes I was also very confliced about Jean Motherhood to Nathan. Let's take a look at this from a different angle. Madelyn was part of Jean and Nathan is part of Madelyn. So at the end of the day Nathan is an extension of Jean through Madelyn. There is a direct connection. For sure they have to remember and honor Madelyn, still they can make most of the current situation especially since Jean share all the emotions and memories regarding Nathan.
I still prefer Catherine Disher as Jean Grey overall in terms of voice actor, but the characterization of Jean (the absolute best in animated media) and Jennifer Hale's voice acting for her are awesome. Particularly this scene...Hale saying "you were" at 0:54 and the look to her...probably one of the most emotional moments of the show. Actually this whole scene was. Just amazing.
I get cable has had a difficult life and Is kind of closed off but I can't help but wonder if he knew where there were going i mean he is a time traveler and I am pointing out the obvious but just saying
in the comics they actually refer to him not acting on stuff he knows for the sake of the timeline, unless it's something he really wants to do like bringing his dad back to life.
To make sure his lasers didn’t go off where they were at. Just because his lasers wouldn’t hurt Cable doesn’t mean he wouldn’t hurt anyone where he was physically at.
In my head canon, Cyke has spent so much of his life with shades and visors on that he really doesn't have a strong idea of how he looks without them. He's dependent on Jean to help project that mental image to Nathan.
I think it's so they can look into each other's eyes. When Scott removes his visor before Jean assists him with his condition, we see only plain red eyes because they are permanently connected to the 'optic blast dimension', even in his astral form. Nathan has such a rugged and worn-out face, grim and serious. But in this one scene, they reveal the kind and sensitive eyes he inherited from Scott.
Yeah I was not a fan of the fact that they made Cable so adamant about his mom being Madeline in the last episode only for the show to sort of forget that he had any strong emotions towards her in this one. She's the one who left the psychic imprint, she's the one who carried him. Jean is not his mother, they actually showed that Madeline's one comfort was that she knew the memories of having her son were 100% her own it was the only part of her that made her feel real. They have this whole thing where Scott and Madeline are comforting each other over the loss of their son and Jean walks in angry over this. Honestly this final switch kind of made a sour taste in my mouth, talk about really minimizing one woman's death for your feel-good scene.
Sloppy writing in the comics too. Scott left Madelyine for Jean because from a writing standpoint the original 5 x-men had to be together for x-factor. It was handled better here, whereas Cyclops is the hero he is suppose to be.
@@rachetmarvel931 I loathe that. Maddie was a person and deserves to remembered as one. And the final scene where Maddie did the psychic imprint was AFTER the two had the shared memory thing so Jean didn't have that and Jean was also mad when she walked in and saw Scott and Maddie psychic speaking. She even called Maddie an "It" in that scene. If Jean went around and absorbed some random woman's memories is it ok if she kills that woman and replaces her to? Jean only started acting nice about Maddie AFTER it was basically confirmed she was dead. Jean is the worst.

woah. Anyone else noticed Cable's reaction when Cyclops said, "I love you son?" That is a good moment.
This is probably the most closest thing Cable will ever get from comfort from his parents. Since in his timeline it's always hell on loose.
Not to worry, deadpool will get him to a world where he enjoys this hell being loose :D.
Get ready for Season Two.

@@karankenZ Sadly, they probably won't ever let the show use Deadpool.
No. His parents raised him in the future
The original Gambit voice is now cable
Loved it when Cable finally saw that he has his Dads eyes.
I hope Cable has a friend who can cheer him up. Like a certain Merc with a Mouth.
Or a lucky Domino
I just want Forge to build him a new cybernetic prosthetic arm with gadgets and armaments galore.
I like how they have Cable sounding like Josh Brolin.
Yeah good casting
I legit thought they got Josh Brolin for this! Chris Potter did an awesome job!!

I always tell my 2 sons that I love them with all my heart something I never heard from both my parents.
Me too bro
Love seeing Jean treating Cable as her own but I'm hoping Madelyne will return someday!
Who knows? The mutant character, Apocalypse, might see to that.
Cable also recognised Jean as his mother by that point.
Best animated show I ever seen
This is an incredibly satisfying payoff to the Summers family drama arc this season. The writers were cooking hard with this show
Except for Madelyn gets shafted and Jean is claiming Nathan as her child when Madelyn her own person was the one who gave birth to Nathan.
