Hello [Singing with] Lauren ! Nightwish fans here, your reaction just appeared on our radar.. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing here at Wacken Open Air festival 2013, in front of a 82k+ audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra, London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. As I could see, you enjoyed the performance, and appreciate musicianship of all band members, but most of all - the stellar vocals and charisma of Floor Jansen, our Dutch metal queen. She have a solid vocal training (including classical music and musical theater), 2 decades of singing in metal bands, being herself a vocal coach. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " Hope you'll continue this journey with us, so I'll drop here a list of songs with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory): "Romanticide" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/v-deo.html "Storytime" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ua-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/v-deo.html "Ever Dream" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ua-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/v-deo.html "Song Of Myself" live at Wacken 2013 (dark/metal) ua-cam.com/video/lQu5QjidHWg/v-deo.html "Dead Boy's Poem" - live Buenos Aires 2018 (soulful ballad) ua-cam.com/video/S8E3L7ggLMM/v-deo.html "Ghost River" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/05eitd-EA6I/v-deo.html "Dark Chest Of Wonders" live at Wacken 2013 (metal, the greatest show opener ever) ua-cam.com/video/OvOD6xecph4/v-deo.html "My Walden" live at Wembley 2015 (celtic / folk) ua-cam.com/video/knqeI807ZlY/v-deo.html "Sleeping Sun" live at Tampere 2015 (ballad) ua-cam.com/video/rsotlzr9wNw/v-deo.html "The Islander" live at Tampere 2015 (Marco in charge..) ua-cam.com/video/Zo8ncK_5kzc/v-deo.html "Stargazer" live at Tampere 2015 (operatic vocals / metal) ua-cam.com/video/NhEuAPYm_Ug/v-deo.html "Sahara" live at Tampa 2016 (middle eastern vibe) ua-cam.com/video/lTvYfLa4Wlk/v-deo.html "Slaying The Dreamer" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/wA44tjaP5n0/v-deo.html "I Want My Tears Back" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (celtic / folk vibe) ua-cam.com/video/TBOdgxjb0kM/v-deo.html "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" live In Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/t26r_vAYQ0Q/v-deo.html "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015 (dark metal) ua-cam.com/video/AN239Pbqbjo/v-deo.html "7 Days To The Wolves" live at Wembley 2015 (dark metal) ua-cam.com/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/v-deo.html And if you want to hear Floor growling :) then try "Yours Is An Empty Hope" live at Mexico City in 2015 ua-cam.com/video/DuwY1d-KIss/v-deo.html Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th 2020 named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg.html (for example: "Shoemaker", the 3rd track from this album, tells the story of Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science, whose ash was sent on the Moon after his death, as a tribute from the scientific community ..) You can also react to Floor Jansen "tapping" other musical genres in Beste Zangers 2019 (TV show from Netherlands) here is a playlist made by Floor herself (start listen it in reverse order..): ua-cam.com/play/PL8iSYWeQhlimgUnWw1FDdiJN0msPzqpLo.html To understand better the context of this show you should visit also Jenniezelf's YT channel (En subtitled materials): ua-cam.com/users/jenniezelf For entire episodes of the show with En translation, you should check Denise Hofs's DM channel: www.dailymotion.com/xpinkeu/videos In these pandemic times, Floor Jansen has decided to make covers for us, which you can find on her YT channel ua-cam.com/channels/xy4Ijz2QKXXJaREs-isxwA.html - there are already 4 covers there, the first is "Let It Go" from "Frozen" (8 weeks ago, already over 1.942M views), the second - "Alone" from "Heart" (released 6 weeks ago) - 775K and counting. Then 4 weeks ago she dropped the third cover, in Dutch: "Is Dit Nou Later" from Stef Bos - already 222K views in 4 weeks. Just before Christmas she made a powerful cover of "Ave Maria" - already 199K views. Just this friday she added a remastered / remixed version of the first one, "Let It Go" - already 91k.. Thank you! Waiting for more Nightwish reactions. All the best from RO. Stay safe.
Gabriel is the Admiral of the Nightwish army. He carries the torch for Ann. His welcoming comment is packed with valuable information. I also recommend pinning his comment, just so you can easily come back to it at any time. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish.
@@nervanderi I prefer Tarja too, largely because I prefer their earlier albums and those songs were written for her. However on this song Floor took it to another level.
You know that their great vocalist/bassist resigned today, but you can still enjoy Marco's magnificent contributions to Nightwish. Please watch "The Islander" or the Pink Floyd tribute "High Hopes".
@@pdogone1 Somehow Michael Jackson doesn't generate as much sympathy from me - must be the tens of millions more albums he sold than Nightwish ever will. Michael is what happens when the industry is working for you; Marko leaving is what happens when it does not.
Welcome into the wonderful world of storytelling by Nightwish. Yes Floor Jansen is classical trained and a vocal coach herself. (See her MasterClass videos) About the duration of the song (and that Floor can keep up her sentences for so long) this was song #13 out of a setlist of 15, and a live performance for almost 2hrs. On top of that Wacken (82,000+ crowd audience) was the last show from their Imaginaerum World Tour with almost every day a new concert in again another city for almost 2 years non stop. Incredible.
So funny that you’re posting your first reaction to them on a day when everything has changed. Their beloved bassist, Singer Marco has announced that he is leaving the band. He was one of the best things about that band, what a great voice, and such charisma!
I was so sad when I saw the news of him leaving when I woke today. It's for his well-being and health so of course I understand but it's still a very sad day. 🙁
versatile vocalist, Jansen can sing from ethereal, classical and operatic singing, to powerful belting, and aggressive, raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. She is a soprano.Jansen started studying music at the Dutch Rock Academy in 1999, entering the Conservatorium Tilburg three years later. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. Later, she started teaching .. she has a channel with master classes obviously teaching techniques. Great reaction

Fun video, really interesting commentary. Plus it's always great to see another instant fan of Floor with Nightwish. My only criticism is to please, please please back the video up 5 seconds or so after each pause so we can all get back into the groove. You can use the left arrow cursor for this. Otherwise excellent!
This was the 13th of 15 songs from this concert!!! She is truly amazing! From their new album, you have to hear "Hows the Heart"... the acoustic version! Really showcases her voice!!!!
The genre is symphonic metal and Nightwish is considered one the best in the world. They are indeed a Finnish band but Floor is Dutch. Floor has about a 3 1/2 octave range from B2 to D6 - but has been known to go higher and lower than that when she wants. She can sing virtually anything up to and including death growls. In the Nightwish world she is known simply as "The Goddess" and commands a stage like no other. Of course her 6 foot tall stature doesn't hurt. Any song from this legendary Wacken concert is a great choice. It is widely considered to be the gold standard that other concerts are judged by.
@@SingingwithLauren You'll love it. Please take note that Floor has a bit of a performer's crush on the male vocalist, Henk Poort. He has played the Dutch Phantom of the Opera over 600 times. Floor specifically asked him to do it as she'd always wanted to, and they have such wonderful chemistry together. Side note: Henk (flippantly) agreed to the performance with the demand that he get to do it with Nightwish live onstage next time they were in town. It happened :)
Thanks to an unfortunate stroke of timing, your reaction was released on the same day as Marko, the bassist with the cool beard, announced his retirement due to depression and other personal issues. As a consequence you're not going to get the usual attention your thoughtful reaction deserves. Give it a week or two and come back for more Nightwish songs. BTW, with this song you're only scratching the surface of what Floor can do. From death metal growls to opera and yes, she had both operatic and musical theatre training.
Welcome to your first stop of a probably long, surprising always awesome Nightwish journey. This band is from Finland as you read already. Tuomas is the keyboarder, Songwriter, composer. Marco was (😞) playing the bass and doing also the vocals. He is very versatile and an awesome singer as well. You might watch „The Islander“ from Tampere to experience this. Emppu is playing the guitar. He can shred it but he always does exactly that much, that is required by the song. Kai (also Wintersun) is now at the drums and replaced the original drummer Jukka (whom you saw here) who had stop playing the drums due to health issues. But he still is with the band. Julka was a perfect drummer and showman, Kai is a perfect drummer and a machine and beast at the drums. Then there is Troy, a multi instrumentalist from England who in older performances supported the band at some tracks but became luckily a full member of the band after this tour. He‘s a great singer as well. Last but not least there is Floor, the Dutch singer. She is the bands third singer after Tarja (operatic) and Annett from Sweden (pop/rock). She can sing really everything from opera over pop/ rock to growls This gig was at Wacken. Wacken is THE metal festival worldwide. Nightwish were one of the headliners in 2013. It is in the north of Germany in a rural area. Therefore the bullhead with flames is the Wacken symbol. There are more than 80.000 metalheads having a big party each year. Here are some suggestions for your next stops: -> Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013): THE "traditional first song" to get into Nightwish. Floor is showing diferent capabilities and you can get a first understanding of Tuomas capability of songwriting -> There are only great songs from Wacken: „Story Time“ and "Ever Dream" are catchy in a very positive way. "Song of Myself" starts catchy and ends with everyone headbanging. "Romanticide", "Last Ride of the Day" and "Ghostriver" are the heavier ones. -> "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (Buenos Aires) will give you a metal and power blast: Maximum speed and Marco (the singing bass player) becomes Hannibal Lecter ;-) -> "Yours an Empty Hope" from Wembley (have a good look!! at the growls. You'll be surprised.) -> „Dead Boys Poem“ from Buenos Aires (so amazing and emotional) -> „Weak Fantasy“ (Tampere): Kai the beastat the drums, Troy joins in, great duets with Floor and Marco, … -> Elvenjig / Elvenpath (Buenos Aires): Awesome intro and it continues on that level -> "The greatest Show on Earth" (Tampere) is one of the two most epic songs. The title is not about the gig, but about the topic of the song: The evolution of mankind. -> "The Poet and the Pendulum“ (Wembley) is my personal absolute masterpiece of Nightwish. Be sure to know the background of this song ahead (short version see below *) ***** From the new album there are for obvious reasons no live sessions so far. For all songs there are lyric videos, except for „Noise". But maybe you'll give some songs a try as well. It's an awesome album. Definitely not an "easy" one with a lot of really unique songs, different from what is "typical" for Nightwish. Floor said that she was really challenged to sing the songs that Tuomas wrote for her. Knowing her abilities, you can imagine that they are "special“. It‘s a good idea to hear the album in the given order, but nevertheless here are some of my options to some of the songs. -->"Noise" is probably the most "typical" song and the only one with "real video". The video is great as the song itself --> "Tribal" is the heaviest one and Kai, the drummer, had to change his normal setup to be able to play it. --> "Shoemaker" (about Eugene Shoemaker) is such a heavenly and epic song with the possible epic ending. -> „Pan“ is just an amazing ride. When it starts you for a moment think you‘re listening to Floors husbands band „Sabaton“. In the song you‘ll be reminded to „Tribal“ and „Noise“. -> Procession“ a rather calm song with so amazing vocals by Floor --> "Harvest" is so different with Troy singing, that you will wonder if you're listening to Nightwish. -> „Endlessness“ is Marcos song and shows his great voice. --> "Music", „How's the Heart", ... are really cool songs as well. Of course. The album challenged Floor as singer, which is not easy to do, as she is one of the best and most versatile singers in the world. ***** If you'd like to Explore Floor on her own: Beste Zangers Just in case (which I can really recommend) you're going to do "Beste Zangers" make sure you take the clips posted by "jenniezelf" on UA-cam as she has also included the talking / interviews before and after with english subtitles. The concept of the show is, that on one day all singers sing a song for one of them. It's a song that is by that singer or a song that means a lot for him / her. So it is very interesting to get to know the story behind each song. And it will help to understand the reactions of the other singers. Floor is singing there in German, Dutch, Spanis and English. Her "Phanom of the Opera" duet with Henk Poort is legendary. ***** * Backstory for „Poet and the Pendulum“ Tuomas (the keyboarder and songwriter) was in depression after the split from their first singer Tarja. He was in the position to either commit suicide in real real life or to write a song about it and die within that song. Luckily he choose the latter option. He is the poet, "killed" by the pendulum. And afterwards there is darkness, silence and just a fading heartbeat. It gives me a shiver every time. As this song is so emotional for him all the others have an eye on him. He even had his the vocals turned off in his in ears. One detail showing the ingenuity of Tuoams: Exactly three minutes after the words "Now I have only three minutes and counting" he is "killed" by the pendulum. And then everything becomes dark and there is just this fading heartbeat of the dying poet. Here is the open letter Tuomas / the band wrote towards Tarja: nightwish.fandom.com/wiki/Open_Letter_to_Tarja_Turunen And here is her response: nightwish.fandom.com/wiki/Open_Letter_from_Tarja_Turunen From what I have heard, her husband/manager was (from the bands point of view) the core of the problem. There is one song addressing him: "Master Passion Greed" They never played it live and will never do so. It is maybe their heaviest song, but for sure the most angry one. You should definitely listen to it. Greetz from a German-Dutch concert photographer
@@SingingwithLauren look at her phantom of the opera with Henk Port from beste zangers if you want to see how well she can sing in a more classical genre - (it's so good that other vocal coaches have cried watching it)
Loved seeing your reaction and professional critique of Floor's vocals. This was my impression. WHY "GHOST LOVE SCORE" BY NIGHTWISH COULD BE THE BEST MUSICAL COMPOSITION IN THE PAST 50 YEARS I should begin by stating my music credentials, which do not include much in the way of professional training. I can read music. I took classical piano lessons in my elementary years. Started with the trumpet in high school band, but spent the last three years in the percussion section. I have been a part of a church choir from 1st grade until now. Most of the choir directors were good and a few of them were true vocal coaches. My early music appreciation was steeped in the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods from ensembles and concertos to opera and symphonies. So there's that. When I could afford to purchase my own musical selections, they were by and large rock and roll. Then the likes of Emerson Lake & Palmer, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and Rush came along to create a new genre called Progressive Rock. This class is defined by longer songs that usually tell a story, complex scores influenced by classical and jazz, and (usually) a bigger variety of instruments. I have been stuck in the early '70s, enjoying 50 year old favorites until about a month ago, when I discovered the next morph of Prog Rock... Symphonic Metal, which had been a thing for almost 20 years, now. I never knew this because radio stations rarely air any piece that goes beyond the average length of 2 minutes and 49 seconds. I was poking through UA-cam one day, and came across Elizabeth Zharoff's channel, where she gave her first reaction and critique of a band that she (and I) had never heard of. Nightwish! As an opera singer and voice coach, her viewers had repeatedly requested her review of "Ghost Love Score" for the superb voice quality of their lead singer, Floor Jansen. Well, both of our mouths were agape throughout the performance. (2013 live at Wacken, Germany, pronounced VAH-ken, with 82,000 fans.) I listened to Zharoff's critique with intensity, all the while feeling like I had been on a roller coaster. In order to shorten this story, I must have watched 15 or more other "first reactions" featuring this same performance of "Ghost Love Score". They ranged from nobodies, to other vocal coaches, choir directors, opera singers, metal bands, and guitarists. Either these people were great pretenders, or they were all genuinely flabbergasted with both Floor and the band. I will let each one speak for themselves. I, on the other hand, will provide my reasons for why I think this piece is so outstanding. Nightwish is a six piece band founded in 1996 in Finland. There is a bass guitar (and singer), lead guitar, synth/keyboardist (composer of most of their works), drummer, an Englishman for pipes, recorder, and oboe, and a female lead singer. Since the Fall of 2012, that has been Floor Jansen, a genuine Dutch Viking of 6' 2" with lots of classical training. One might think that this would be average except for excellent training and skill of each member playing as one, plus coordinated background recordings by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Boys' Choir. Although these great attributes apply to a majority of Nightwish scores, it is perfectly displayed in "Ghost Love Score." Remember the genre Symphonic Metal? A symphony is divided into four movements; the first movement is usually fast (allegro) and introduces the main theme, the second one is slow (adagio) and tells a story, the third is medium and louder (scherzo) and brings the story up to the point of resolution, and the fourth movement is another fast allegro or rondo, bringing back the first theme to a crescendo for the finale. "Ghost Love Score" does all of this in less than 11 minutes. The first movement opens with the drummer as the feature, pounding out an odd rhythm. It took me awhile to figure out that it was alternating measures of 6/8 time and 5/8 time, giving 11 beats to the cadence. I won't even focus on the accompanying backdrop screens and pyrotechnics going on. Not an easy trick to keep up. After a few bars, the tones are modulated up and the band goes into a 4/4, 3/4 mix, until Floor takes the microphone with a steady 4/4. The tune is soft and the voice is ethereal as the topic is introduced. This is a love that has been lost, but memories abound and a piece of the lover's heart will go forever missing. Lead and bass guitars perform a masterful counterpoint under the vocals, which is repeated in the 4th movement. The second movement blends in after only 8 beats and a couple of cymbol strikes, and a change is noted in the overall broader sound structure. The music is still in 4/4 but Floor's presentation is slower, more deliberate, and adds meaningful insight to the first. In fact, she stays mostly in a chest voice, declaring the things that were and might have been. As in many symphonic pieces where one instrument copies another, the lead guitar repeats the melody that Floor sings, ending in two slide riffs, high to low. Following this adagio, there is a brief instrumental interlude (over two minutes) as Floor leaves the stage. The orchestra continues and the melody becomes more somber, adding tension as the audience holds its breath. The third movement (scherzo) blasts everyone's attention with the prominent drummer switching to 6/8 time along with keyboard, guitars and what sounds like 50 strings. Floor returns to the microphone and belts out what sounds like a sea shanty song, followed by a series of perfect pitch operatic shouts and 80,000 voices join in. Chest voice equals more power. At this point, the instruments mirror the strange 11 beat syncopation as in the beginning. A brief drum solo bridges this to the final movement. The fourth movement (allegro) by no surprise, follows suit. Dropping back to 4/4 time, the finale begins with the repeat of the opening theme, only it is more robust and it quickly builds in volume. The vocalist becomes the focal power who pushes the finale to its conclusion, nailing a long A-flat #6 for the crescendo and resolve. After reviewing what I just wrote, I realize that a synopsis of this work proves nothing of its being a masterpiece. At least, I focused more on the symphonic purity more than anyone else that I have watched. Some of the reaction people started to comment about it, until Floor started to sing and she, rightly so, became the only topic. I can only recommend that you watch and listen to "Ghost Love Score" at least three or four times. The eyes and ears will pick up on something overlooked each time. I am convinced that each member of the band not only knows their instruments, but understands music theory and could hold their own above the crowd as solo artists. I have listened to bassist Marco Hietala sing solos and he has a magnificent voice. I have listened to Floor Jansen sing the cover for the country song "Shallow," proving her multi-style talent. This specific composition, however, brings them all to the perfection of a well-oiled machine, becoming a sum much greater than the parts. To arrange and perform the multiple time signatures and stay in perfect synch with instruments, vocals, and even the insertion of prerecorded philharmonics at the appropriate places is nothing but masterful. Floor Jansen happens to be the third vocal lead for Nightwish and is the perfect fit. She sings with confidence, without trying to overshadow the other members. She exudes passion and energy, mixing her vocal styles from, lullaby, to folk, to metal growl and shouts, to opera. She engages with the fans dramatically, like she is singing to one listener. Quite frankly, I have never heard a voice like hers, and switching between angelic and blowing the roof off the stage in perfect tune has left me, along with all of the "first reaction" UA-camrs, just speechless. Several have displayed the goose bumps on their arms, while others have been moved to tears. In conclusion, I can only say that "Ghost Love Score" pulls the listener into the story. It is the culmination of a 40-minute symphonic piece and a 3-hour opera that must be consumed in 10-1/2 minutes. It is both beautiful and exhausting, but definitely an experience. If Beethoven were alive today, would he have composed something like this? I think "Ghost Love Score" will stand the test of time as the best of this era.
Not only singing for almost 10 min, but that song is near the end of the concert too! Great reaction, thank you! You need to keep reacting to this band. You've just scratched the surface. Enjoy the rabbit hole that is Nightwish. We (Nightwish Army) will be there with you.
Hey Lauren, I just actually bothered to sign in to YouChoob 'cos I thought your reaction was worth commenting on! :) Being a Nightwish fan already and having watched this vid before, I was watching your eye movement and concentration. It didn't wander, and that alone told me how much attention you were paying to this - which in turn tells me how interested/impressed you were. I can't speak for anyone else (obviously) but I personally would be interested in your reaction to Tarja Tarenen's vocals with Nightwish as a comparison to Floor's. I appreciate both voices for their intrinsic beauty and individual qualities and I'd certainly like to see your reaction to the differences and to what each brings to Nightwish's sound. All the best :)
A pint of tea!! 😂 Great reaction from you 👍 I really hope that Nightwish and Floor can shake your old thoughts of metal music. As you discovered, Symphonic Metal is built/composed like classical music, with chapters. Floor is a phenomenal singer, might even be the singer of the century, with unmatchable breath and voice techniques - being able to fluently use all kinds of singing from operatic to growling.... Well Floor is a voice-nerd according to herself - and a perfectionist.... I believe that Floor and Nightwish caught your attention - positively, so just dive into the Nightwish Universe - we from the Nightwish Army will support you all we can on your journey. A big welcome from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰 👍 💪 🤘 🤘
Welcome to the Nightwish family, thank you for sharing your reaction with us, I hope to watch you take the long tour through the incredible universe that is Nightwish

This performance is something every artist and musician dream to have. It's a legendary performance in all aspects, from the composingm sound, technique, stage presence, to the connection and energy back and fourth with the audience. It's just such masterpiece and it would be incredibly hard to even come close to do such a performance again, even when you are that professional and on that level of musicianship. Just imagine to have been one of the people in the audience of that show, just WoW. What an experience.
Your reaction video Lauren, was sooo well done about a singer and band that I’ve only discovered recently and become virtually obsessed with over the last couple of weeks! Great job, new subscriber here! 😎
Haha! You have the largest tea cup that l've ever seen ☕😅. Wellcome to the wonderful world of symphonic metal and Nightwish. This is one of the most epic live performances ever. And Floor is giving singing masterclasses on her UA-cam channel. They are very educational and pleasant to watch. Great reaction and greetings from snowy northern Finland! ⛄👍
@@SingingwithLauren As you've noticed by now, this is a sad day to us because an essential band member resingned today. It's not your fault or anyones fault, but if you will continue with the Nightwish, you'll notice his importance to the whole. Best of wishes still!
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. special greetings to #GabrielBardac and of course the rest of the Nightwish army I love Your all!! :) there is always this moment when people try to explain what the other is doing. without knowing what the other person can do. but thanks anyway :) and at the end this comes ... WOW !! we the nightwish army say about it .. "floorgasm"
YES! Please keep reacting to Nightwish, and thank you for the informative vocal teaching moments you carefully interspersed throughout. Floor herself has said that GSL is her fave NW song to perform live. And yes she is a vocal coach herself! Keep up the great work!
Great reaction, and welcome to the Nightwish universe!! Yes, Floor did have classical training. By this point, the Nightwish army should have arrived with great suggestions and tons of info. I'd definitely like for you to continue your journey with Nightwish! Every piece performed at this 2013 Wacken concert is pure gold. Take it easy! 👍👌🤘✊
I have watched many, many reviews of this song, Lauren... yours was definitely one of the most intriguing, professional yet enjoyable... though I am not a singer, just a good music lover... Thank you! 🙏
20 years ago I was saying to myself "why have I not heard of this band? What have I been doing with my life!?" & they had only been around 4 years, I never bore of peoples wows when going through the Nightwish journey, How does it feel to have gone 24 years on this planet & never heard of this simply epic band? I have subscribed, I cannot wait to see your reactions on this group & genre of music. I'm excited for you. | Much Love, Peace & Respect | Stay Safe.
Good luck on your Nightwish journey. Even though you haven't done a lot of Metal, this band is actually pretty good at introducing the genre to other audiences. Nobody does as cinematic/dramatic/epic sounds as Nightwish.
Thank you for your lovely reaction, definitely one of the more insightful ones. Please keep reacting to them, you only scratched the surface of the surface and they will keep you amazed every time. A good next song would be Storytime from the same concert (every song from that concert is gold, you can't go wrong there) or Ever Dream. How's the heart from planet rock is an acoustic version that really shows Floor's abilities. If you're not afraid to go heavier (and there's no reason you should) I would recommend Romanticide, Ghost River and Song of Myself. To see Floor sing some different genres check out the "Beste Zangers" show. Very noteworthy from that show is her covers of Shallow, Winner and Phantom of the Opera (with Henk Poort). For something in the same vain (a little heavier) I would recommend Epica. A nice introduction to them is Sancta Terra with Floor as a guest and especially Stabat Mater Dolorosa with Floor and Simone. It still blows my mind they did a full blown classical piece in the middle of a rock/metal concert. Have fun, you're in for a treat.
Loved you reaction and analysis to this great song. Operatic training and Musical Theater training as well. She has also taught and developed a vocal masterclass. Well done Lauren. Peace. 😊💖✌
Going forward without Marko will be very tough, Tuomas has previously said he was not up for any further changes in the lineup and Marko has insanely big boots to fill. Even if Nightwish doesn't continue, their catalogue is huge and a goldmine for fans of voice.
They'll do the "Human Nature" tour with a session bassist. After that, i guess we'll see... i am not sure Toumas can deal with any more personell switching.
As I remember it, Tuomas said Floor would be the last Nightwish singer, nothing more. Of course this is devastating news for us fans but the good news is that NW will be using a session bassist for the live shows. That means that the door to return is totally open. And in the end, we want Marko to be in a better place. So if that is outside of NW we must respect that.
@@franshinlopen2166 Yes, that is correct :) But Marko is also a singer. You can replace his bass playing no problem, but his singing is going to be a *lot* more difficult. And he sings on quite a few songs. Ah well, we'll have to wait and see :)
I believe he was talking about Floor. They went forward without Anette and look how that turned out. Who knows. Maybe they'll find an awesome bassist/tenor.
About long songs, Nightwish have 3 masterpieces... GLS with 11 min... Poet and the Pendulum with 14 min and Greatest Show on Earth with about 22 min... All of them Floor sings in many colors and textures... The last one she belts E5s and F5s the entire song and end up with 4 long belts in G5... But I suggest you to listen some others songs first... For the next I think you would like of Dead boys poem live from Buenos Aires...
Such a sad day for the Nightwish army, and for all to be honest. As others have said, Marko, the bassist, has resigned from the band. You will no doubt hear him singing in your venture through their repertoire. Marko has a phenomenal voice too and he blends with Floor so well. They both sound incredible live and when they harmonise...wow the chills are real! At this point in the concert, Ghost Love Score was, I believe, the 13th song in a 15 song set. The energy in this song and the remaining two songs was amazing. I look forward to more reactions.
Oooh if Classical is your area I would be interested what you think about the following songs that Floor has performed (outside of Nightwish): - Oi Jouluyö (Oh, Holy Night) - Villa Lied - O Mio Babbino Caro
Hi, A very great reaction! I have a great helpfull tip for you. After pauzing the video, before unpauzing it you should press the left key once, by doing so you lead back into the song. Also nice of you to react on Nightwish. Floor can do so much more with her voice, it is incredible as you can see in some other Nightwish songs. I would advice to do some more Nightwish reactions. I would also advice to do these follow up reactions in the following order. - Romanticide (Live at Wacken) - Storytime (Live at Wacken) - Yours is an empty hope (Live at Wembley Arena) - I want my tears back (Live at Wacken) - The Islander (Live at Tampere) - Dead Boy's Poem (Live at Buenos Aires) - Ever Dream (Live at Wacken) - Last Ride of the Day (Live at Wacken) - Poet and The Pendulum (Live at Wembley Arena) - The Greatest Show on Earth (Live at Tampere) Before doing "Poet and The Pendulum" you should do some research as this song has a lot of emotional stuff in it. Also keep "The Greatest Show on Earth" for last as it is a masterpiece! Also some research is wise for this one 😉, and watch it to the very end. Enjoy your discovery of Nightwish! You'll love it! Subscribed to hopefully see your reaction on the other Nightwish videos! 😉
Absolutely, they transcend any real borders between genre'. I just don't know enough positive words to describe them. Each member is world-class at what they do so calling the collective band Great is simply not enough. Wonderful yes, but so much more. AWESOME is not close enough. AMAZING! POWERFUL! Worth the listen (and worth the wait). None of this covers the positive influence this band has! This frustrates me! Perfection...maybe. :)
My favorite Nightwish song? Yes. haha. So sad about Marko leaving. He is the long haired bearded bass player. He has amazing vocals also. He and Floor together is just magical. Please more Nightwish please.
This was song 13 of a 15 song setlist. Floor was not yet a permanent member of the band and had been brought in at 48 hours notice to replace the former singer, in the middle of a massive tour, just 10 months before this concert. When she was recruited to Nightwish, she had been recovering from burnout from her own band. I enjoyed this reaction even though, like the rest of the Army, I'm reeling from Marko's departure.
Floor Jansen (she is Dutch) is also a classical singer. Graduated on the conservatorium/music university and also at the Rock academy in Holland. She sings opera's, classical pieces and metal. She can sing everything to be honest. She has 100 voices within her and even growls lower than many men. Nightwish is a Finnish band she joined and it is magical. Lots of credits for the musicians and composer (behind keyboards) too, they are epic as well.
Good stuff! Since there are so many reaction-channels on the Tube today i tend to get picky. But you seem original & sweet and its always nice to watch someone with music knowledge break down the song. You've earned yourself a subscription!
Hi, Lauren. Floor Jansen, the 6 foot 1, Dutch Goddess of all things vocal is trained in and teaches opera as well as is a vocal coach. Her education took her into 4 years at the Dutch Rock Academy from 1999 to 2003. In 2003 she also entered the Conservatorium Tilburg and graduated with enough points from the Rock Academy to attend Tilburg for 2002. She took a year of musical theater and 1 year of opera. She also prides herself a "nerd" when it comes to the complete anatomy of the voice mechanism and "why" and "how" it works. 😂 After the departure of previous singer, Anette Olzon in 2012, Floor was called in as a favor to fill in for the remaining tour locations. This performance at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany was their last in their world tour and what was thought to be Floor's last performance with Nightwish. On October 9, 2013, founder, keyboard player, and composer of all music and lyrics, Tuomas Holopainen visited Floor and offered her the gig permanently. The rest of the band..... Emppu Vuorinen- Guitar Troy Donockley- Winds, pipes, whistles, guitar, mandolin and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen- Drums Jukka is no longer playing drums but he is still with the band. He announced his decision after having obvious health complications due to insomnia in 2014. His good friend, Kai Hahto, replaced him on drums and was officially announced permanent in 2015. Marko Hietala- Bass/Vocals Marko replaces Bassist Sami in 2001 and has had a great musical solo career as well as with Nightwish. Unfortunately, in the last couple days, Marko has expressed his displeasure with the music industry adding that his chronic depression made that situation 1000 times worse. He announced in a few letters that he has decided to officially depart Nightwish and all dealings with music in general. He also asked that he not be contacted by anyone in regards to anything music. At the present moment, Nightwish is without a bass player. 💔😢 I hope you stick around for the journey and the wonder that is Floor Jansen. Next suggestion.... "Storytime" ua-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/v-deo.html Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😢💔🤘🤘
As so many have said when someone has been “floored” by hearing Floor for the first time, “you ain’t heard nothing yet!” While Nightwish is Finnish, Floor is Dutch. Not only was that song 10 minutes long, but it was song #13 of 15 in that set, and she’d been singing like that for close to 90 minutes by the time this song came up. From the same Wacken 2013 show, I’d recommend the following songs to get more of an idea of what Floor can do...and how surprisingly diverse the band is: Song of Myself, Storytime, Romanticide, Everdream, and I Want My Tears Back. You’ll find that Marco...the bass player...is also a great singer.
That a big enough mug you got yourself there?? 😂 crazy how timing works as you brought it into view, It pretty much made me choke on my own tea, which was out of a far more modestly sized mug, I'll add 😂 great reaction btw. I'll give you a sub just the reaction n open mindedness (plus the mug) 😂
Floor Jansen UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/channels/xy4Ijz2QKXXJaREs-isxwA.html Nightwish originally had an opera singer Tarja Turunen. This song was written for her singing but she left the group. The singer after that also left and Floor Jansen did an audition and it was a match. Floor was the lead singer for a band named After Forever (ua-cam.com/video/r7ph4S28Au0/v-deo.html), same kind of music as Nightwish but the quit so she was looking for a new band. I kinda think it worked out really well!
Well enough is being said already of this great band..🤣 hope you do more of this band.. Thnx to Gabriel for the info 🤘 Saw that u did Storytime, so guess what i'll be watching next 🤣 Hope uou have fun on this journey, it will bean epic one forsure... Have Fun 🖐
One thing I hear from every reaction who know something about voice when reacting to this song is how health she is singing. She does all of this amazing things and do it in a healthy way. I've been to concerts where I knew most of the songs and were trying to sing along and had to go the a doctor because my vocal cords were damaged. I'm no singer, just a drunk guy, excited guy, and the songs were not that difficult but it shows how important it is to be healthy when singing.
if you would like to see Floor sing classicaly (you said you were a classical singer) watch the Dutch TV show "Beste Zangers" where she sings Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort, they add a rock flair to it, but it shows her range and training, Henk played the Phantom in the Dutch version of Phantom of the Opera, it is on You Tube
Stay with Nightwish, there are so many great tracks... as for a favorite... it's always the one you just heard ;) too many to rank. Sad day with Marko taking a year off from public life but we wish him the best and hope he returns.
Not only is she projecting a "tall presence", she herself is tall; 6'1" 200lbs. and is a former professional bodybuilder. Look at the width of her shoulders, her biceps, her forearms and her legs. There in her body you see the projection to the audience of her strength and power. How she stands strong and powerful which she uses to make her audience do what ever she wants them to do. We call Floor the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal. But she is also very humble and down-to-earth, not at all aggressive or mean in any way. You might watch the Dutch show Beste Zangers to see what songs she sings for others and which songs they sing to her. She was very little known in her own country until that show.
Everyone will continue recommending Floor performances, as they should, so I'll recommend their original singer, Tarja Turunen. Her style is heavily classical. Their concert "End of an Era" has many fantastic performances, including a metal version of Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Phantom of the Opera". I also suggest from that concert "The Siren", "Slaying the Dreamer", and "Sleeping Sun". You'll also hear Marco's fantastic vocals, too.
Greact reaction and analysis Lauren !! This band is awesome, with a lot of great songs that is imposible to choose one like a favorite song There are 4 songs considered as the best (the arrangement is incredible and the meaning) -ghost love score -the greatest show on earth -shoemaker -the poet and the pendulum. 4 magnificents masterpieces, You should react before some other great songs, i suggest: -everdream (wacken 2013)
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "
Hope you'll continue this journey with us, so I'll drop here a list of songs with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory):

In these pandemic times, Floor Jansen has decided to make covers for us, which you can find on her YT channel ua-cam.com/channels/xy4Ijz2QKXXJaREs-isxwA.html - there are already 4 covers there, the first is "Let It Go" from "Frozen" (8 weeks ago, already over 1.942M views), the second - "Alone" from "Heart" (released 6 weeks ago) - 775K and counting.

You know that their great vocalist/bassist resigned today, but you can still enjoy Marco's magnificent contributions to Nightwish. Please watch "The Islander" or the Pink Floyd tribute "High Hopes".
I did read he did not wanted to be in the music industry because they were exploiting the bands/musicians. I can imagine that but too bad.
@@KH-ye6qg and money was given in hypocritical exchanges, yes, very bad indeed.
@@KH-ye6qg Michael Jackson spoke out for the same reason..
@@pdogone1 Somehow Michael Jackson doesn't generate as much sympathy from me - must be the tens of millions more albums he sold than Nightwish ever will. Michael is what happens when the industry is working for you; Marko leaving is what happens when it does not.
The Division Bell was one of the very first CDs I bought when I was young, so I can say: nothing compares to the original High Hopes. But good effort.
"I wasn't expecting that..." - How to describe Nightwish in one sentence... :-)
It is not your typical metal band:)
So sad that Marko has resigned. His voice was the perfect compliment to hers.
Yeah dude was hoping they would come to AZ at some point so I could finally see them live. Now im not so sure.
@@SFCStrikers The only Bassist with a beautiful voice like Marco, i think is Jukka Koskinen
Incredible.
Resigned is different than a quit, he quit the band with a long written post. Way more hard hitting than a resign.
Amen
So funny that you’re posting your first reaction to them on a day when everything has changed. Their beloved bassist, Singer Marco has announced that he is leaving the band. He was one of the best things about that band, what a great voice, and such charisma!
I was so sad when I saw the news of him leaving when I woke today. It's for his well-being and health so of course I understand but it's still a very sad day. 🙁
I just started getting into them ....what a punch to the gut.

versatile vocalist, Jansen can sing from ethereal, classical and operatic singing, to powerful belting, and aggressive, raspy vocals like screaming and death growls.

You do realize that you are watching the most talented vocalist on the planet! Floor is our valkyrie! The nightwish army is incoming!
She also did a great version of Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort on Beste Zangers.
ooooo i have to hear this!
@@SingingwithLauren Henk Poort played the Dutch Phantom for several years in the 90's and was a great inspiration for Floor.

Viewers: "Please react to Nightwish!" Lauren: "Hold my gigantic barrel of tea!"
I was in a band once called Gigantic Barrel Of Tea . . . I think. The 70s are a blur to me now.
Such a disappointing announcement!
She can sing really everything from opera over pop/ rock to growls
This gig was at Wacken. Wacken is THE metal festival worldwide. Nightwish were one of the headliners in 2013.
It is in the north of Germany in a rural area. Therefore the bullhead with flames is the Wacken symbol. There are more than 80.000 metalheads having a big party each year.
Here are some suggestions for your next stops:
-> Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013): THE "traditional first song" to get into Nightwish. Floor is showing diferent capabilities and you can get a first understanding of Tuomas capability of songwriting
-> There are only great songs from Wacken: „Story Time“ and "Ever Dream" are catchy in a very positive way. "Song of Myself" starts catchy and ends with everyone headbanging. "Romanticide", "Last Ride of the Day" and "Ghostriver" are the heavier ones.
-> "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (Buenos Aires) will give you a metal and power blast: Maximum speed and Marco (the singing bass player) becomes Hannibal Lecter ;-)
-> "Yours an Empty Hope" from Wembley (have a good look!! at the growls. You'll be surprised.)
-> „Dead Boys Poem“ from Buenos Aires (so amazing and emotional)
-> „Weak Fantasy“ (Tampere): Kai the beastat the drums, Troy joins in, great duets with Floor and Marco, …
-> Elvenjig / Elvenpath (Buenos Aires): Awesome intro and it continues on that level
-> "The greatest Show on Earth" (Tampere) is one of the two most epic songs. The title is not about the gig, but about the topic of the song: The evolution of mankind.
-> "The Poet and the Pendulum“ (Wembley) is my personal absolute masterpiece of Nightwish. Be sure to know the background of this song ahead (short version see below *)

From the new album there are for obvious reasons no live sessions so far.
The video is great as the song itself
--> "Tribal" is the heaviest one and Kai, the drummer, had to change his normal setup to be able to play it.
-> Procession“ a rather calm song with so amazing vocals by Floor
--> "Harvest" is so different with Troy singing, that you will wonder if you're listening to Nightwish.
-> „Endlessness“ is Marcos song and shows his great voice.
--> "Music", „How's the Heart", ... are really cool songs as well. Of course.
The album challenged Floor as singer, which is not easy to do, as she is one of the best and most versatile singers in the world.
*****
If you'd like to Explore Floor on her own:
Beste Zangers Just in case (which I can really recommend) you're going to do "Beste Zangers" make sure you take the clips posted by "jenniezelf" on UA-cam as she has also included the talking / interviews before and after with english subtitles.

* Backstory for „Poet and the Pendulum“
Tuomas (the keyboarder and songwriter) was in depression after the split from their first singer Tarja.
Here is the open letter Tuomas / the band wrote towards Tarja:
nightwish.fandom.com/wiki/Open_Letter_to_Tarja_Turunen
And here is her response:
nightwish.fandom.com/wiki/Open_Letter_from_Tarja_Turunen
From what I have heard, her husband/manager was (from the bands point of view) the core of the problem. There is one song addressing him: "Master Passion Greed"
They never played it live and will never do so. It is maybe their heaviest song, but for sure the most angry one. You should definitely listen to it.
Greetz from a German-Dutch concert photographer
Why wait two weeks? Nightwish deserves to be celebrated even more then before now :)

WHY "GHOST LOVE SCORE" BY NIGHTWISH COULD BE THE BEST MUSICAL COMPOSITION IN THE PAST 50 YEARS
I should begin by stating my music credentials, which do not include much in the way of professional training.
Although these great attributes apply to a majority of Nightwish scores, it is perfectly displayed in "Ghost Love Score."
Remember the genre Symphonic Metal?
Yes! Do more Nightwish! You won't regret it.
Definitely check out her performances on Beste Zangers..
Not only singing for almost 10 min, but that song is near the end of the concert too! Great reaction, thank you! You need to keep reacting to this band. You've just scratched the surface. Enjoy the rabbit hole that is Nightwish. We (Nightwish Army) will be there with you.
Hey Lauren,
I just actually bothered to sign in to YouChoob 'cos I thought your reaction was worth commenting on! :)
Being a Nightwish fan already and having watched this vid before, I was watching your eye movement and concentration.
Great Rec! Thanks for the lovely comment 😌😌
A pint of tea!! 😂
Great reaction from you 👍
I really hope that Nightwish and Floor can shake your old thoughts of metal music.

What an experience.

and at the end this comes ... WOW !! we the nightwish army say about it .. "floorgasm"
"Thousands of people" doesn't do Wacken justice. That there is almost 100,000 people.

Great reaction. So sad today can't really make any other comment except to say definitely keep reacting to them. Stay safe.🤘✌
YES! Please keep reacting to Nightwish, and thank you for the informative vocal teaching moments you carefully interspersed throughout. Floor herself has said that GSL is her fave NW song to perform live. And yes she is a vocal coach herself! Keep up the great work!
Next try their song "Song of Myself" from the same Wacken13 concert please
you are just entering a great story, journey and adventure
Great reaction, and welcome to the Nightwish universe!! Yes, Floor did have classical training. By this point, the Nightwish army should have arrived with great suggestions and tons of info. I'd definitely like for you to continue your journey with Nightwish! Every piece performed at this 2013 Wacken concert is pure gold. Take it easy! 👍👌🤘✊
Best singer in the world for sure.
Peace. 😊💖✌
it's an amazing thing when you can get 82,000 metal fans to wait that quietly .
After that, i guess we'll see... i am not sure Toumas can deal with any more personell switching.
woooof. so rough. i'll have to read up more on this.
Wow, so cute, and a GREAT song too... heheh, girl you made my dat on this sad sad day....
I don't know why but it's very satisfying to see people discovering them. Great react video.
That is an open air venue with a crowd of just over 80K people.
Oooh if Classical is your area I would be interested what you think about the following songs that Floor has performed (outside of Nightwish):
- Oi Jouluyö (Oh, Holy Night)
- Villa Lied
- O Mio Babbino Caro
Great Reaction Video!!!....Nightwish is Amazing!!!
I can't stop watching reaction to Ghost Love Score videos! It is an absolutely epic song, of course. My favourite of all time, right now.

This song is incredible and i loved your video. Subscribed.
I love watching someone have their first floorgasm. It makes this whole crazy world worth it lol
That whole concert was a masterpiece
Great reaction. This song was the 13th of the 15 on the set list and still such control and no fatigue showing. Thank you again and stay safe.
Hi,
A very great reaction!
- Romanticide (Live at Wacken)
- Storytime (Live at Wacken)
- Yours is an empty hope (Live at Wembley Arena)
- I want my tears back (Live at Wacken)
- The Islander (Live at Tampere)
- Dead Boy's Poem (Live at Buenos Aires)
- Ever Dream (Live at Wacken)
- Last Ride of the Day (Live at Wacken)
- Poet and The Pendulum (Live at Wembley Arena)
- The Greatest Show on Earth (Live at Tampere)
Before doing "Poet and The Pendulum" you should do some research as this song has a lot of emotional stuff in it.
Thanks for the reaction. And you have a very goofy pixar animated vibe, I loved that
I hear the sound of feets, the Nightwish army is gathering. But don't worry, it's the most peaceful army in the world.
Until you pause a Floorgasm.
Nightwish and Floor run on a lane of their own.
Best symphonic metal band ever.......EVER...I love every song by Nightwish, great reaction, thx :)
Ghost Love Score is "gateway drug" to symphonic metal. This is your free sample 😁
"And he always gives free samples,
Because he knows full well:
Today's bright, curious faces

Good stuff! Since there are so many reaction-channels on the Tube today i tend to get picky. But you seem original & sweet and its always nice to watch someone with music knowledge break down the song. You've earned yourself a subscription!
Saw Nightwish live Nov 2018 in Germany. An Evening i will never forget. And yes....the band and her voice are awesome!!!
Well done..and, just like me, bein' Nightwished!
Floor Jensen, first of her name, Queen of the Valkyries, Lady of Nightwish, protector of the Metal Realm. May she reign in grace, clarity and power.
I'm so glad you got around to Nightwish, I enjoyed the reaction, thank you. Have a great evening.
After the departure of previous singer, Anette Olzon in 2012, Floor was called in as a favor to fill in for the remaining tour locations.
Emppu Vuorinen- Guitar
Troy Donockley- Winds, pipes, whistles, guitar, mandolin and vocals.
Jukka Nevalainen- Drums
Jukka is no longer playing drums but he is still with the band. He announced his decision after having obvious health complications due to insomnia in 2014.
His good friend, Kai Hahto, replaced him on drums and was officially announced permanent in 2015.
Marko Hietala- Bass/Vocals
Marko replaces Bassist Sami in 2001 and has had a great musical solo career as well as with Nightwish.
I hope you stick around for the journey and the wonder that is Floor Jansen.
Next suggestion....
"Storytime"

Thank you for the video, reaction and comments.
You should definitely keep doing reactions to them follow Gabriel's list the Nightwish army has arrived. subscribing now.
Welcome to Nightwish and The Goddess Voice of Heaven and Earth. Enjoy your journey.
Well now you are Nightwished, you will join the Nightwish army. :)

Central Oklahoma Squadron - I'll skip the bar; I just hit 36 years sobriety. So drink two for me !
Maybe three . . .
You should really check out her on Beste Zangers. Her and Hank Poorte doing Phantom of the Opera

Nightwish originally had an opera singer Tarja Turunen.
Thnx to Gabriel for the info 🤘
Saw that u did Storytime, so guess what i'll be watching next 🤣
Hope uou have fun on this journey, it will bean epic one forsure...
Have Fun 🖐
It’s like twenty songs in one!! Loved ur reaction lots of good info!😈
Thank you for your reaction. Please keep to react to Nightwish. I would wish for Storytime next.
Stay with Nightwish, there are so many great tracks... as for a favorite... it's always the one you just heard ;) too many to rank. Sad day with Marko taking a year off from public life but we wish him the best and hope he returns.
Hey Hey! Nightwish army here.
Nice react.
Bad day, Marko left the bend today (3 singers: Marko, Floor and Troy - play many instruments).
Please react to Epica “Sancta Terra” with floor jansen live
Everyone will continue recommending Floor performances, as they should, so I'll recommend their original singer, Tarja Turunen. Her style is heavily classical. Their concert "End of an Era" has many fantastic performances, including a metal version of Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Phantom of the Opera". I also suggest from that concert "The Siren", "Slaying the Dreamer", and "Sleeping Sun".
You'll also hear Marco's fantastic vocals, too.
Great reaction loved it 👍 Welcome to the Nightwish party 😁 I hope you check out more Nightwish 😄 Stay healthy and greetings from Florida 🤘🤘🤘
Thx for this really good explanation... 🏆👍 And a new metal fan...
