Great job! I loved the piece and the video. 👌🏾
If u would like my opinion...
I LOVE the asmr sounds. So soothing. And most women on this space dont do that. So it makes you unique imo. And the music choice was good too. Kept the same calm vibes. And the tasteful hits of coffee and nature? PERFECT.
The font at the end asking for a like and sub (which u earned btw 😉) was a perfect size. Would be better for an entire video. (Im a crazy person who actually hits pause and reads them).
The fast transitions from one shot to another were too abrupt for me personally. I dont know how to edit 😅 so all i can say is that super fast cuts to different but similar shots makes my eyes go crazy trying to figure out where to land and it feels too uncomfortable. But thats just me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ you didn't do it so many times that i cant watch.
I am subbing and i cant wait to see what u got coming next. I feel like i can really learn from you. Wishing you success! ❤❤❤

Thank you so much for the thoughtful message and for subscribing! I really appreciate the pointers- I actually completely agree about the caption font size and clip lengths. I’m definitely still figuring out my video and editing style so the advice and and outside perspective really helps after watching each video a million times 😂
      Many more videos to come!

Beautiful job with Star Trek vibes from the handles! Great choice of colors and stain as well. (I'm glad you willbe increasing the size of the fonts in future videos.)

Looks very nice. I like your style of filming but any chance of using a larger sized script?

I am blown away at the amount of sanding you are willing to put up with. You do get amazing results though. Might i suggest you look into the Eastwood Contour SCT paint stripper power tool. It was designed to remove rust, paint and bondo off cars. But you can swap the wheels out for different grits. It may make your sanding less tedious and possibly faster

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into that!
Haha the amount of sanding for this piece was a little ridiculous 😂
The garage was too cold to use paint stripper and I couldn’t bring this one inside on my own + some other excuses so I decided to just go all in with the orbital this time 💁🏼‍♀️
      Thanks for watching!

You can’t rush perfection. Her work is created by hand and not meant to be production, she is beautifully methodic and the finish product shows.

You may have mentioned it and I missed it 😅 but do you know what wood/s this dresser and the one in the other vid were made of?

      @homebody.workshop  11 днів тому +1

This dresser had a thin veneer so it’s hard to say, but possibly oak, maple or pine? @naomiquirion7725 mentioned the antique dresser looked like it was made of Elm

I have mixed feelings.....But I always do when I see stripper, plastic, and possibly lead paint going into the landfills instead of furniture. But that's how it is. I think It should have been completely refinished in walnut stain. You just replaced one paint color with another. However, you did an excellent job. I suggest wearing protective eyewear while sanding, and perhaps a few more coats and sanding for a long-lasting finish, unless this is just a flip. Also, it may have been easier if you had painted the legs using styrofoam for support, like you used the milk carton for the hardware (which is to die for!). Overall, really good job. (If you're teaching people how to refinish it's important to do it right!)

Thank you for your comment! I didn’t mention that I did two coats of primer and 3 coats of paint + polyurethane for a very durable finish. This video was mainly for entertainment purposes and more information will be available in the blog post :)

Amazing makeover. Looks gorgeous. I just wish the music had Continued instead of annoying ASMR noises. Had to mute the video. But great work.

good video composition especially for someone who just started a channel. I would eliminate the music and just go with shop sounds.

Not my favorite I would have done it in bright colors to highlight the pulls
