I would have gone right past this piece. Those panels were awful. I can't believe what you saw. Kara this is beautiful. Love the green and the handles are fabulous. You did it again another dresser anyone would love in their home❤
Taking off those panels was a great plan. That piece looks so much better. The pulls you used were a home run as well. Overall that dresser turned out beautifully!
This took real true grit,didn't it? Worth every bit of effort. You had a good eye here on all fronts. I would now consider pieces like this. Thank you.
Wow! I love the transformation. It went from standard 70’s to gorgeous modern. I enjoyed watching the process, thank you for sharing this with us. ♥️🇨🇦
Stellar job!!!!!! To see that you also accepted the benefit of learning something new with the process is commendable. Hard work, but it added experience and more skill to your craft! Great job!!!!
This was obviously a high quality piece. I love love happening upon these dated but beautifully made items. And it takes people like us to see the treasure beneath its sometimes cringe worthy adornments of yesteryear. :) Lovely finished piece. Just beautiful.
I agree! I wouldn't have removed those panels. I would have done something with a really modern edge to offset the two. Of course the beauty of it is that there's no wrong way as long as the owner like it right?😊
Looks great! The only change i think i would make is the 9 inch vertical handles. I'm not sure i like those. I think it would have given a much cleaner look. With a nice knob instead. I do like the handles on the drawers though.
That is beautiful!! I absolutely love the paint color and the stain is really pretty!! I will have to take notes and keep this tip in my back pocket for future reference! And the handles that you chose are gorgeous! Perfect for pulling the whole look together 😊 That’s the kind of piece that you end up loving so much that you end up designing everything else around it!
As usual, you knocked it out of the park Mama! Good on ya! To all the furniture painting haters, here again, further proof ya'll ate WRONG! 10 ⭐️'s!!! LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing!! ❤️🍋🪑
It turned out great. The paint and stain combination is perfect. Those handles are what caught my eye. Those handles really brought it up to a more modern look. A lot of work went into this flip, but with a very impressive design. This really was an amazing before & after.
Just a tip. When you scrape off the chemical paint stripper it’s a good idea to use mineral spirits to stop the chemical reaction of the stripper~ then use water to help neutralize the surface BEFORE sanding. Sanding without doing this isn’t a good idea because it can damage the wood surface. If you did use mineral spirits already, I apologize that you already knew. B~}
It’s beautiful, Kara! I have a similar combo (green with stained top and brass hardware) of a dresser listed that’s been sitting for much longer than I would’ve guessed on FBMP. I’ll be interested to see what yours sells for.
