    isn't painting vertex colors in unreal and using the built in wind component easier and less expensive for this task?.

      The main idea here is that if you have something more complex as simulation then these methods will be useful.
      But indeed if you just make a simple flag you can also do it with vertex color and wind component

    do you have any suggestions for making the normals softer? when I export the VAT animation then if I go to unreal up close, the normals are a bit edgy .👍

    Would be nice to see the USD workflow as well. Would that be better than alembic?
